👍😄 Yeah, it sure looks like it floats really well. At one point during the build I actually considered converting it into an RC model. 🙂 Thanks for watching!
First time seeing this January 26th 2025 Hello from OHIO 🇺🇸……. Music kinda slows everything down 😀 I have this kit, I always thought it was a pretty good… My plan !!! I was going to use the AIRFIX 1/76 Sherman CRAB kit… There’s a nice photo of a CRAB Tank, unloading of a landing craft… Actually using scale Chain on the Frail Roller …. I’m glad I tuned in and watched your video…. Really Nice Job, Everything about it !!!!! Model On. CHRIS 🇺🇸
Thank you so much, Chris! Your plan sounds great, interesting subject building it with a Crab tank. 👍 Glad you liked the video! 🙂 Greetings from Germany, Oliver/RWO
What a great surprise for the weekend! Finally another new video from you! I really like the tank and landing craft set. The quality of the kit looks like a big challenge, but you really got everything out of it again. Really awesome!
Making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I remember Making that kit in the 1970's. I also remember 99% of the plastic was straight. No warped hull or deck and very little filler needed. The plastic looks cheap and nasty, a bit cheesy where you are afraid to stress it too far. Like Frog in the 70's. I don't know what Airfix are doing with kits these days. I bought their 707 kit about 3 years back to build in my country's national airline colours. Fuselage was twisted as were the wings, A disaster. I don't give up easily, but I gave up on this kit. I have the decals in the hope of finding a respectable 1/144 707 kit. Good job on the LCM
Thank you very much! Too bad with your 707, hope you'll find a decent one soon. Speaking of 707s, I currently have Academy's recently released reboxed 1/144 Minicraft E-3 Sentry on my bench and I find it very frustrating as well. Not sure if I'll ever finish it. 🤷🏻♂️ But I actually somehow enjoyed building this LCM/Sherman even if it can't compare to more modern standards. The plastic of my copy looked a bit different from others I had seen online, not sure if these Vintage Classics kits sold today are reboxed old stock or reproduced from the old moulds?
@@RWOModels Oh! thanks for the heads up. I saw that and was hoping it might be an option. I have a Sherman easy 8, Tiger 1 early production, Stug 3 and SdKfz 251/1 all in 1/16th from Andy's Hobby HQ waiting to be started. Along with a 1/400 Revell QM2 with extra photo etch and 1/12 scale Datsun 240 Z from Tamiya. They built up owing to a bit of ill health and a couple of hip replacements. Its near impossible to sit still or in any comfort till the hips are replaced and they only do them singly 99% if the time. But you wake up and the pain is gone. So I need to crack on. But first there's a part remodeling of the kitchen and some wardrobes to build for the better half; you do have to keep them happy. Happy modeling.
I built this model back in the 70`s. I don`t remember it being so detailed, nor did I do such a nice job. Great work,👍👍👍.
Thank you very much! 🙏 Glad the video could bring back a few memories. 😊
@@RWOModels I should but my memory is shot, I don`t even getting dressed this morning😃
Sorry to hear about your issues... All the best to you! 🍀
@@RWOModels Thanks you also.
thank you for building this kit, it brings me back to 1968 when I build this kit together with my father.
Glad I could bring back that memory, thanks for sharing. 🙂 All the best to you!
If this modle kit is 1/35 will be my hope 😘 notwithstanding I'm very thank you your provided this🎉🎉🎉
Thank you very much! An LCM in 1/35 would certainly be an impressive model! 🙂
I see the amount of effort you put into that kit, but I don't think I could resist the urge to pop it in the bath.

That turned out pretty nicely! Hearing those parts click together was so satisfying. Also that background music etc was very relaxing.
Thank you! I'm happy you liked the video and the relaxing vibes. ☺️
As good as it gets from a very bad molding seen from our modern perspective.
Very good work!
Thank you very much! Yeah, it was a bit of a challenge with all that filling and sanding and straightening that warped hull. 🙈😄
