All stains and oils look great for the first 6 months to a year. I really need to see a 2 yr follow up before I can make a decision to give a thumbs up. Where I live, mold/mildew is the state flower. Really need to see how well your formula holds up after a couple of seasons. Thanks

I mix boiled linseed oil and odorless mineral spirits and Ronan superfine Japan Color Venetian red. It works nice but you have to keep stirring it as you use it. I stain it every year or 2.

You can also stain or paint a deck before you build it. Sometimes its easier to do on saw horses at waist level than having to bend over. Also a roller or even a sponge mop does very well to keep you off your hands and knees

Linseed oil goes way back. It's been used by many older professionals for protecting wood. You can't go wrong with it. Although today there are many products that may be good, especially for ultra violet light protection, linseed oil to me is far superior for getting the look you wanted and the protection. It will darken the more coats you use over the years though. Be sure to clean the wood prior to using before each season if you need to seal it yearly.

I’m going to paint my entire house, ceilings, walls, and trim. My house is about 3000 square feet. I sent you pictures onTwitter of my before and after on my bathrooms. Nassrin... another cool video. I have to ask you, though, have you tried using a roller for some of those larger / more exposed areas? Obviously, I can understand why you'd be using a brush for the tighter areas. Whenever I've applied similar products on similar applications, I've used a thick nap roller and an extension handle (especially on the deck boards). In that way, you can apply while standing up and save your knees in the process. Anyway, great video and the results are terrific. Nicely done.
