Im trying to find a source for where to find the oem ones. Mine were removed when i installed swing cases and am now getting a decked instead but i cant find them anywhere.
I like supporting small businesses too I had my 4Runner tinted by a small shop. He’s been around for 15 years, $500 for Suntek ceramic tint. Limo tint in 3rd row, 18% on doors, 70% on windshield Has a TRD Pro Tundra in Calvary Blue. It’s a sick ride.
It's the way we need to start moving. It does stink because it is more expensive. But when EVERYTHING starts to be made here it will turn cost around and start getting cheaper. We just need to get over that initial hurtle.
Nice product Jon, I agree with made in America, small business, quality product! If I had $500 lying around I would pick me up a set. Just seems to costly and expensive to replace a good quality product that already exist which I am sure has already been tested by Toyota before they would be placed on their vehicles. I am struggling to put $4 a gallon fuel in my truck will have to wait on the tie-downs.
I respect that! Work hard my friend so we can ALL succeed in life. If your job makes you struggle then it is time for a new one. Everyone needs to be successful.
Good stuff, picked some up with your code. I had trouble finding this solution a few years ago--i prayed every time I mounted my 450 to those stock aluminum ties.
The lower tie downs seem fine enough but I’ve never had an issue with the Baby Yodas in any of my Tacos. If anything fails it would be the rail itself, everyone is free to accessorize their own truck but to me it seems like most people would just lose the on the spot tool free adjustability. If they made a factory style in billet with a slightly smaller footprint that would be ideal.
@@TRDJon probably also an advantage of a taco having a smaller bed, I would use my D rings more as they were the most secure point in the bed. In your case with the bed cover those are the ideal option. Another advantage to those is the theft prevention that needing tools provides.
Completely agree, Jon. I have the deckedusa system so I have to use the rails. There is a definite strength gained here by swapping out from the stock. The major gain is the amount of metal in the rail that is actually adding to the strength. You basically have a dime sized piece of metal holding in the stock rail tie downs which put a lot of strain on a very small portion of the rails. @@TRDJon
These look great. I have a very flat Weathertech powder coated aluminum folding bed cover. The OEM cleats won’t work with it. These look like an adequate replacement. Thanks!
For the doors? I could have (in I had one). But for the rare time I need to have my tailgate down with my 6.5’ bed, I think that extender would get in the way more then it would be purposeful for my typical use.
Im sure there is a lot that goes into machining, packaging, materials, all while keeping it in America. You can get some cheap Chinese crap for probably a quarter of the price. Sure. But will it last, will it rust, etc?
The stock ones suck was hauling a refrigerator in the standup position really wanted to tie it down good in this case. The plastic stock ones snap right off the rail my truck is less than 2 years old and living in Arizona with the heat, I know bridles the plastic still. Bought the cail raised ones half the price still aluminum let you know how they hold up.
@@TRDJon looking forward to that👍🏻 I’m curious how it will be compared to the jb4 tune. Been looking at both of them, not many real world reviews on the afe
Genuinely curious how do you like the crew max with the 6.5 bed? I currently have a tacoma double cab long bed and I've been debating which bed size to pick with the crew max.
Hey John love your videos. I’ve seen you with larger tires on these latest gen tundras. I just upgraded from the previous gen to this one. Running 35s seems pretty straight forward but can you run a 35 spare or do I need to cut the guides like the previous gen? Not seeing much info on that. Cheers!
Plenty of people have this product in their trucks. It is a clean look. If you have the extra money and want to make your $68K truck look better then this is what you do. I would buy these for my truck again 100% so it isn't just me pushing product I got for free. It's made in the USA and I want to support smaller businesses more then ever. To do that we need to spend more money here. If you can't do that then you are part of the problem.
@TRDJon if that's the case why not buy a domestic brand instead of Toyota? This is just someone looking to make money pushing a useless product. I'm only posting here because this video was pushed on to my google feed.
No Buy a chevy.... Seriously if toyota hasnt figured out the market with the basics after 20 yrs, they never will. I think toyota should of stuck to their international line for north american trucks and let the market accept it. The 4runner which is like a hilux on a prado platform proves my hypothesis. If one wants to cling to tradtional american values there are plenty of good options. Toyota is trying to adapt to the market and not change it this is a big mistake. Tundra should have been a more basic truck like a north american style landcruiser 70. Those tired of the shenanigans of the big 3 would of gravitated to it but no they went with the pack.

I like these products, but man, it’s a little pricey.
US made for any product is gonna be expensive man. Until we are able to bring everthing back to our shores, it will be how it is.
@@TRDJontrue that makes sense
@@TRDJon just ordered x2 rail tiedown anchors and use your discount code.
@PureBlood777 heck ya man! Enjoy them.
The whole truck is pricey, lol

Very cool!

Yea mine always bent up when I would strap items higher then my bed rails. Felt like they would snap.

Awesome stay safe please
Always bro!!!!

Yes!! That should work for sure! As long as you have access to your bed rails. I’d assume it would be like how I showed with my front bed rail. 👍🏼
Why not use a bed extender?
For the doors? I could have (in I had one). But for the rare time I need to have my tailgate down with my 6.5’ bed, I think that extender would get in the way more then it would be purposeful for my typical use.
Is there still a discount offer available for Billet tie downs?
Looks cool!❤️❤️❤️
Super solid! Make my truck feel higher quality lol. As a Platinum should.
Love your channel. These are some high quality items with low profile, a bit expensive, though.
Never heard of those as baby yoda 😂
Much nicer replacements🤙
Stay out of the weather. Be safe✅
Hopefully just getting a bit of rain and that’s all
I see nothing wrong with the oem mounts. I actually prefer them because they are thinner diameter and easier to hook into
For sure! Enjoy them man! Just giving options for those who seek it 🤙🏼
Hello, TRD John awesome video as always I like your videos. When is the next live stream?
Lets do one tonight man! I miss you guys!

Hey Jon, when are you gonna add a tune to the tundra?
I have the AFE scorcher box to add to it. I need to do that ASAP

Nice parts... the next $500 I find laying around and I'm getting these!
Right on!!
Does the Tundra I-force Max have a 2.4kw inverter generator like the Tacoma?
Does not

Do any other companies sell ones that are less expensive
Not that I’ve seen for billet and made in the USA

I believe a 35 will fit as a spare. But I’m not 100% sure.
Now you need some trax
I got those to install too. 4 of them since my bed is longer.
LMAO 70$ for a 10$ piece. I will pass. Looks great on your truck.
Ughhhh. Don't buy this junk. It's a tie down. What a waste of money, unless you get it free and then post telling people to buy said product.

The Tundra is more American made then many of the domestic brands and assembled in the USA not Canada or Mexico like GM products.
Aftermarket tie downs…not really something anyone needs. But people consume dumber things I guess.

Not sure where this comment falls for a product review lol. But Toyota leaves a lot to the aftermarket. Cool but annoying at the same time.
@@TRDJon it started with 4 words and grew from there 🤔
I’m a Chevy guy but damn they can’t figure out lifters and valves and make it right for customers. On top of that transmission issues. Hard pass

Idk about them.
$500 😂😂. Insanity.
