Cheers from #91! I truly wish I could swing #003 for myself, but I cannot. I’ll just settle for enjoying you enjoy yours! I think number one sounds sooo good.
As a proud member of this club, to borrow Porsche’s slogan and line from the movie Risky Business: Todd Sucherman’s Signature HH Ride by Sabian - “There is no substitute.” btw, I liked 001 for more brightness and cut and 204 for warmer and more flowy moments. But of course, both are fantastic! Cheers!!
204 is dark and lower pitched and 001 is brighter and higher pitched but with some dark undertones. I like 204 better. Also this is why you should try out your cymbal before you buy it when possible. To find that one that speaks to you.
The signature model was limited to 250 units worldwide but I know there is a similar model in the Sabian lineup. If you want one of these best to look up Reverb, eBay and even some stores have them still.
I own this great cymbal and am an collector of rare Sabian rides. I was asking for a drummer who is desperately in search, so I help out. Sometimes your lucky 😅 Please let me know if you decide to do so 👊🏻
You aren’t wrong as they are incredible and amazingly versatile, only 5 came to Australia and I sourced 001 from overseas. Last time I saw one here for sale was around the $1500USD area.
@@IAMDRUMMER wow, last months I could help two drummers from usa get one from Europe. Both round 600$. I can emagine how their worth gets up. I found one for my friend yesterday so we are good. I own all Sabian limiteds, curious about that being worth in 10 years 😃
Playing kicks in at 2:04
001 is it for me. More complex it's somehow simultaneously darker and brighter...kinda crazy.
That’s what I love about the ride, has this illusion of being dark but brother at the same time.
I love the half step in pitch difference

Do you know where it is....?
No sir, though I was under the impression the first four were together until you broke up the family.
Love this RJ! I’m fortunate to own Lucky #013! As Todd says, it plays well in multiple genres.
I haven’t played mine live yet but will give it a fairly workout this coming Sunday.
@@IAMDRUMMER I'm playing mine live this Sunday as well. Have a great show!
Do you know the weight of your Sessions Ride? I’m compiling a list of all known units.
@@Assimilator702 Do you own one? There is a Facebook group for owners of this ride. They’ve got the list.
@@gailseno I do not own one but I’m looking for one right now. I’ll check out the FB group. Will they let me in if I don’t own one?

You have great taste in words, movies and of course, cymbals.
Yeah this cymbal is IMPOSSIBLE to find right now. I wish I knew about it when it was released.
I’ve only seen maybe two pop up for sale and they go pretty quick.
Your wish has been granted: ua-cam.com/video/vVIRE6NXL1Y/v-deo.html

I agree and this is where your local drum shop is so very important especially with cymbals.
I agree
I couldn't decide which I would pick, so I'll stick with my #197 😉
Excellent choice 😃
I dig #1 tbh brighter and quick. The other has more dark overtones but still smooth
I lean towards number 1 but it depends on the setting to be honest.
They just re-released this cymbal so we need another comparison to see if the 2023 models are faithful to the original recipe!
I’m working on it, as soon as I got word I contacted my local drum store to see if they will be getting a shipment in.
Oh my god! My psychologist called me crazy for socialising with my K Sweet Ride! I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE PAUL!!! **manic laughter**
This comment wins the internet, voices in my head told me to write this.
well done. thanks!
001 is a higher note slightly and the other sounds a little “darker”
204 sounds just that little dirtier, I love them both.
Hey man ! Do you know if Sabian still produce these models and are they Available for purchase ?

@@IAMDRUMMER I’m in newzealand man so I will try 😂
Cheers thanks for the reply
Anytime brother.
Shoot me an email and if one pops up I’ll email you.
@@IAMDRUMMER for sure man ! Great content man keep it up ⚡️
@@IAMDRUMMER I was thinking if Ican’t find one I’ll have to put in a order to custom shop
Hi, great video! Are you willing to sell one? Thanks!
Thanks mate, not looking to sell at this stage.

Well I only have one of them.
And you are in a very exclusive club, they are a brilliant cymbal.
Got myself number 246 ! fantastic ride !
Very nice.
You got number 1, how did you manage that?
It’s a talent 😂🤣
I like #204. Easier on my older ears.
You have excellent taste sir.
I'll take #001 please. Lol.
It's a brilliant ride and Todd and Sabian sure know how to make an outstanding ride cymbal.
Why do I feel you regularly watch drum videos with your drum gear? But awesome rides.
Watch TV, have naps, long walks on the beech.
@@IAMDRUMMER How can you take a long walk on a tree?
Paiste please.
I can reach out to them and see if I can demo some stock, no promises though.
#001 is miles better, better bell, better stick definition, brighter
I like your taste.
I prefer 001
I think I do too.
I dig #1 tbh brighter and quick. The other has more dark overtones but still smooth
I am always torn between the two to be honest.
@@IAMDRUMMER204 was my preferred version. Not as bright. More subdued.
