@nostars onsky - Tarasova is talking alone during the whole performance, Averbuch (former World ice dancing champion and now a choreographer and producer of Russian TV shows, most famously Ice Age) responds to her with his opinion only at the very end.
why do Russian commentators always talk through the entire performance? Drives me crazy. I just want to see the skating, I don't want to hear a conversation I don't understand.
This is actually the only Grand Prix Final gala video from the Russian channel 1 that is posted on UA-cam. There are other videos from Russian Eurosport which I think is absolutely warranted as many people in the world understand Russian (not just Russians themselves, but many others too) and are interested in what the Russian commentators have to say about skaters programs and performances, especially if the commentator is a famous and respected coach like Tatiana Tarasova. I haven't noticed many GPF gala videos with English commentary or commentary in other languages here on UA-cam yet, but usually there are loads of videos from the bigger competitions in languages other than Russian.
in short, Tarasova is all for P/C's SD cause it's a true street dance (ISU requirement). as for FD, she says that both dances are strong, V/M's is based on a movie and it is obvious who and what they are in the routine - this has been done over and over before and this isn't a novelty in 2k17. P/C's dance is an abstraction and every viewer can feel it the way their own imagination allows which is fresh and new. she adores both teams but prefers the interpretation of the French.
alexjwebabou Totally agrée. I’m a huge fan of V/M, but they didn’t choose Olympic music. The French team classy and beautifully skated. The deserve to be first!
Commentators stop talking. You ruin the skate
This is for Russians, I'm interested in knowing the opinion of Tatyana Tarasova
See with English comments
Could you tell me what Tatiana says? please
they are not talking they are arguing )))

Wish he didn't talk through the entire FREAKIN PROGRAM!!

She says very correct things, it's very bad that you do not know Russian. She said that Canadians will play short dances
Tarasova knows a lot about dances
More curious is why we get so many Russian commentaries posted here? Are there no English speaking broadcasts?

Thanks for that Alexjwebabou. Tarasova is such a character, and it's always interesting to know her thoughts.
