    I am a Norwegian man. I'm used to it being cold, and I enjoy a cool temperature. But when I visited New York and Los Angeles I experienced the "women's winter" and I totally agree with them. It is so hot outside that I am soaking in sweat, but indoors it was like a refrigerator. I had to bring a sweater to put un when going inside. It was rediculous. The NY and LA inside temperature at *summer* was *much colder* than the typical inside temperature in Norway at *winter* without heating. I don't understand how anyone could want it like that.

    • @Z7Games
      @Z7Games 8 років тому +173

      So you are telling me, that in a place like NY or LA, where the temperatures are way higher than Norwegian, you can feel the diference way more!? HOW UNEXPECTED.
      Also, i seriously doubt the _"The NY and LA inside temperature at summer was much colder than the typical inside temperature in Norway at winter without heating"_, its most likely that you felt that way after being exposed to the hot outside, just pick a termometer and check it out.

    • @paulmag91
      @paulmag91 8 років тому +374

      Z7Games It is not unexpected that there is a difference, but it was very unexpected to me that the difference was that large. It seemed way larger than necessary.
      I am overexaggerating here, but not that much. The immediate shock of going inside was indeed the worst, and it faded when my sweat dried up. But inside many public buildings it was still a bit too cold for my comfort wearing just a shirt even after being indoors for hours. Walking around for hours indoors with a long sleeve shirt, and I was still longing for a sweater. That almost never happens to me in Norway.

      overexaggerating litterally means you are exaggerating a lot,so you just said "I am exaggerating a lot here,but not that much."

    "Why do you always have a sweater in your bag, even through Arizona summer?" This. This is why. Every time I enter a grocery store or a movie theater or go on break at work, I feel the icy chill of Women's Winter.

    When spring turns to summer, and there are blossoms on the trees. The office air doth turn to ice, and all the women freeze.
    The AC vents breathe chilling cold, and heaters are no more. The sun gives no more warming love, and no blankets are in store.
    The men rejoice, for finally their sweaty torment ends. But for the ones who don't wear suits, the freezing curse begins.

      Every man's public bathroom I have ever entered was a sauna of piss and sometimes shit. If you remained too long you will almost certainly get pink eye. You had to watch were you stepped as there's a legitimate chance you may somehow find a puddle of piss that goes up to your ankle on a level floor with no holes... Also and I always hated this... If any point you have to sit on a toilet if the water isn't clean there's a solid chance your dick will fall off because all guys unless they prop their dicks between their knees either take a dip or ram a wet freezing cold porcelain. So most guys need to sit whilest hold either their dick and or their balls in a perfect angle so that they don't directly piss on their balls or they don't wind up making shitty dick soup. Another reason guys have to hold the dick is sometimes just so it doesn't pop back out whilst going but that's for dudes with smaller dicks... Slightly below average and below. Most guys are likely be in the freezing porcelain territory... Unless it's one of those really low to the floor toilets with a wide but very shallow bowl in which point it's sometimes a struggle to not dip your balls in the water let alone the dick... Honestly depending on the style of the toilet sitting down to piss is an extremely stressful act... I'd argue more so when you live with family and share a bathroom... Touching the front of the toilet with you dick just makes you think... Oh god I've giving everyone in the house a genital to genital touch...

      That's because of all the open air refrigeration in super markets. Not only does it lower the temps in areas with a lot of refrigeration, but if the ambient temp is too high it can lead to a lot of condensation which in turn can lead to mold and other water related problems. Thus they have to have to keep the temps down or risk potential health and safety problems.

    Fun fact, the reason this phenomenon happens is partially due to increased testosterone giving men increase muscle mass, which passively burn calories resulting in greater body temperature through lost energy.

    • @paulmag91
      @paulmag91 8 років тому +44

      These are my suggestions:
      - The AC generates a breeze. When there is a breeze it feels colder than when it is no air movement.
      - At summer you sweat when being outside, but in contrast the AC feels very cold. In winter you don't get that contrast.
      - At winter there are always heaters on inside.
      - It's psychological. At summer you expect it to be warm. At winter you expect it to be cold. Therefore you end up end up feeling warm at winter since it's not as cold as you expected.

    Hey guys, this video is satirizing the phenomena itself - not proposing that a/c is sexist. YES I've seen the videos that claim that a/c is sexist and read some articles on the subject. YES I've been saying (since middle school) that a cold person can keep putting on clothes to keep warm/ can maintain brain function but a person who is over heating can't do much to cool down - and it can really slow your brain down.

      Heaters are my worst enemies whenever I visit my grandparents. They're cold all the freaken time so they constantly keep their house at sauna temperatures. In winter they have the fireplace lit but at the same time they also have small space heaters at each of their feets so that their toes don't get cold. The fire alone is more than enough to get me sweating as it usually gets the temperature up to nearly 90 degrees...

    Ugh this is accurate. Worked for a company where the building servicing team said the temperature was fine but we were all freezing..men and women. We taped up the vents and they got TICKED!!! So we had them come over and had them stand where we worked and after about 5 minutes they had the expression on their faces we knew all too well. They said they'd take care of it but our officer manager told them to stay put for 15 minutes..no less. When the time was up he told them to just think for a moment what it would be like for 8 to 9 hours under that only to have some moron tell them the temperature was "fine". The next day, it was fixed.
    Next time I was at a payroll company and the mostly kind but very overweight office manager kept it so cold many people wore coats and fingerless gloves to work. He tore into us at a weekly meeting saying the temperature was fine and just as many would complain if he rode it a few degrees. Well, on my last day..I put it to the test. hen I went out for my final lunch.. I moved the temperature setting up 5 degrees... then ripped out the needle. I got back from lunch and for the first time in YEARS..it was nice and comfy. He meanwhile was angrily looking for the culprit and was all sweaty..yuck. I made a comment that the temperature was fine..lol.

    Lately I have found an interesting pattern in UA-cam comments. Most of
    the time I see very very long comments that get a lot of likes and it
    makes me think that this guy says something really deep and
    philosophical.
    So I start to read it and I finish reading after 5 whole minutes because he had to write a fucking encyclopedia, and apparently not only it was boring, but it was also really meaningless or wrong.
    I got this feeling that people tend to thumbs up something that already has lots of thumbs. Its like peer pressure. Many people in our society tend to "go with the flow". At first the poster of the comment was lucky to get a few comments which was not a result of peer pressure. But then this amount of thumbs up made people curious to see why did this comment got a few thumbs up and its also a very long comment so it probably has some important explanation of the video.
    Statistically, the more readers the comment has, the more thumbs up it will have. But to catch the eye of the readers it needs a few thumbs up at start so the huge length of the comment creates some curiosity in your mind and makes you think: "why is this comment so long? he must have something really important to say".
    Just like the rich people are getting richer and the poor people are getting poorer, the comment with lots of thumbs up will get even more thumbs up thanks to all of his thumbs up. Its like falling from a tall building, the more time you fall, the faster you accelerate. Ok, maybe I didn't explain it right and I'm not a genius at physics but you got the idea.
    What I'm trying to say is, don't waste your time readint long comments unless you have a lot of free time and don't thumbs up a comment just because other people gave it a thumbs up. Don't always go with the flow. Only thumbs it up if you trully agree with it or it was really funny or entertaining to read.
    Anyway, you probably didnt even notice that this whole comment has nothing to do with this video and if you are still reading this then I love you, so lets just have sex untill the day we die.

    I feel the same way as a guy, it's always way too damn cold in every office- it doesn't need to be any colder than 78ºF in an office. I'm not really a skinny guy either, I just work with people that seem to love being cold. I have an office hoodie that I wear pretty much the entire summer, which is hilarious when you consider that the summers here in Arizona are consistently hotter than 100ºF. Sometimes at the end of the work day I'll just sit in my car with the AC off just to warm up after a day of freezing in the office. I generally keep my home's AC at 83ºF, which is not only comfortable but also keeps my energy bills hilariously low (by Arizona standards at least).

    During the winter, there are only 3 conditions that cause me to close the window in my room.
    1) Outside temperature dips below 35F or so.
    2) Rain blows into the room
    3) I have a severe fever
    If the temperature is higher than 60F or so, I have a fan going. Cold is easily defeated by snuggly things. Heat can only be overcome by AC (which I don't have) or 60mph wind on a motorcycle.

    I live in Seychelles and we have a tropical climate here.
    Last year I got assigned to work at the Ministry of education in the accounts sector for my work based experience. It was always hot or warm outside but as soon as I stepped inside the office It was so cold. The amount of a/c in that one room was too much. The workers was complaining that It wasn't cold enough or assuming that the a/c was broken. I, on the other hand was dying. I couldn't say anything so I mostly drank hot coffee or tea to balance that shit out.
