Naruto after gettting to know obito is not the same. It becomes the great anime that it is today. Yes itachi is great, jiraiya, hiruzen.. naurto .. but obito.. obito is us. A lot of us have changed and we re not that pure hearted as we used to be when young..
For me, Obito is the best character of the whole anime. Because he was kind, cheerful and purposeful as Naruto. But he wanted to become a hockage not just to get an endorsement of the villagers like Naruto was (atleast in 1 season), but to end the wars and save the ninja world. He became a Madara's deceit victim but still He pursued this goal throughout his life - to put an end to wars and evil, to give peace to everybody. He wanted to Protect everyone from the loss of close people, to protect everyone from his fate. I almost cry every time I watch Obito's childhood flashbacks with this music. Obito is the best !!!
He’s like the shadow version of Naruto but most the fans never really took to him. Its funny that people didn’t like obito because he was perching to much when that was what Naruto did to people. He was all of the negative parts of Narutos character like obito used his talk no jutsu for evil even. Its weird to me that most hated obito when in one piece the shadow version of luffy was katakuri which everyone loved. I like obito personally I actually cried when died.

The difference between Obito and Naruto is that Naruto found people to guide him on the right path, but Obito didn't happen to have these people. If the scenario was different and Kakashi didn't pass out or Minato managed to come and save them, the scenario would be very different as they would snap Obito out of it, just like what Hinata did to Naruto in the war.
I like how Obito left out a space for another head after 3rd Hokage before placing his own. Dude was supporting and knew that his Sensei's gonna become Hokage.
