I have the og cobalt and I will be happy to try the elixir but don’t think I’ll pick up. Sounds like if they could of kept the og opening and amped it up some and a bit longer with the drydown of the elixir then you would have a big problem in the fragrance community
Cobalt is for those that are new to the game , at the end of the day you could buy many other alternatives, for instance I have YSL le parfum so I would never buy Bad Boy parfum OG and I have Versace Dyson blue so therefore I wouldn’t buy Cobalt , so similar in many fragrances !! I went for Valentino Born in Roma Umo EDT- much better , and unique and last 8hours easy with stupid compliments 💯 🔥
Just tried the Elixir yesterday on skin and definitely prefer the OG Cobalt! Was not expecting that "broke" at 4:18 haha. I would choke me and everyone around me with 10 sprays of the OG haha. I didn't care for the smokiness of the vanilla drydown of the Elixir. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned.
Wow, we actually agree on this one rebel 👌 I got the Elixir after trying both. The OG is too much like a spray I have called Ocean, and I wanted something stronger and more unique.
Neither my husband nor I liked the original bad boy and although I haven’t tried cobalt I recently received a sample of bad boy parfum and it’s soooo good so sexy!!we have to try the cobalts next

Cobalt is a very weak performer…. 4 hours max like Prada Ocean , smells great but poor performance…. More alternatives out there , the Elixir is ok ….. but again it smells like anything else . Go for Valentino Born in Roma - more versatile, masculine, extremely sexy , niche and the compliments are insane 💯 🔥
The original is just way better in my opinion the new one is nice by the OG just smells better wish they just made it stronger and not changed the notes with the elixir
Thus far, off the top of my head, all of the "elixir" versions have been better than the originals, which kind of sucks since they're more expensive lol, but at the same time it's great for those who never had the original scent. I'd love a YSL L'Homme Elixir, especially since MYSLF is such an underwhelming release, in my opinion (although the Y Elixir seems kind of interesting, honestly!).
Havent smelled Y Elixir, but yeah, pretty much all the other Elixirs has been great, arguably the best in their lines (tho Im not a fan of Gucci Elixir, I feel like its too heavy on white florals and iris, and I dont rly like those notes)
@@justhair17 Now that you mention it, yeah that'd be the exception for me too. :) I love iris but somehow the male one was not my thing but the female one I really like on a friend of mine.
@@justhair17 Yeah, many people I know find that Dior Homme and Prada L'Homme are very feminine because of the iris. That's totally cool, personally it's neroli I can't stand (orange blossom). Like I always say, don't let anyone tell you what you smell, trust your own nose! :)
Had recieved a sample of the original Cobalt from another purchase, I was pretty excited as the original BB and BB Le parfum are amazing. Cobalt for me was one of the most generic, uninspiring fragrances with terrible performance, 2 hours max then i had to bury my nose in my skin to even notice it. Then I went today to the store to test some new fragrances from this year, one of them being Cobalt Elixir. To me, it doesn't deserve the elixir name, it is overly sweet but with an ungodly amount of sage. It smells so aromatic that it goes into herbacious/medicinal teritorry. For me the combination of that heavy sweetness with the spicy and aromatic notes doesn't work at all. I am so happy I didn't spray it on my skin as i would have washed immediately. Maybe in the performance aspect is better than the og Cobalt, but the scent profile in Elixir, in my opinion is even worse than the already poor Cobalt. As a side note, I was also disappointed in Boss The Scent Elixir (a sandalwood bomb that lost it's identity without the maninka), Valentino Green Stravaganza was also pretty weak and Tom Ford Oud minerale was also a big letdown, nothing really standing out in it and with quite a weak performance. All in all this year looks to be weaker than the last in terms of new releases. I really hope the new JPG Le Beau is good, as the bottle was unfortunately empty in the store and I couldn't test it. Awesome video again, always love it when Sandra comes in!

First 3 hours its one of the best fragrances ever then it turns somehow overly sickeining sweet synthethic fragrance maybe i have to try it incve again hope dry down will be better
not the best investment in fragrance with BB elixir, you can be most satisfied with the versatility of cobalt with a more balanced aroma any time any day. There isn't any sexyness in any fragrance it is just a term used to lure attention .
Hi! I do not think they are. Luna Rossa Ocean EDP has that intense balsamic smoothness which Cobalt Elixir does not have and it also does not have that rich spiciness and quite prominent aromatic side of Cobalt Elixir. Both are woody, vanillic and ambery but LR ocean edp has more focus on the vanilla and I do feel it's also the most ambery of the two whereas the amberiness of Cobalt Elixir mostly comes out in the dry down and not being that intense.

I tried it at Macy's and reminded me of Victory Elixir for a second like it had coconut but it doesn't have! I liked it I like both.
yes, I get that as well. Somewhere in the journey from the opening to the dry down there's a bit of Invictus Victory Elixir but with a twist. 😊
I just bought the cobalt elixir, the dry down is nice. I prefer it to the parfum on the dry down.

The original is one of my favourite ever. In England the elixir finally goes on retail sale next week and ill be there waiting 4 the doors to open
The OJ is the best I got them both im a cologne collector and i use the cobalt EDP more than the elixir

I love infrared and I regret not getting edp. Infrared edp is by far the best in the line. the opening smells like a mature cinnamon roll 😂
