This video makes me feel stupid. Agree with other comments that this is simple and efficient. Wish I could say I thought of it. Thanks for making this video. Very helpful!
i know this is old video bt it really helped me as i am trying to learnt like the simplicity of just using the treble without swivels or snaps.great teaching, and using the larger scale objects brought it home.hope you have some more diy videos. john
Thanks, great video. One suggestion get yourself a pair of nail clippers to cut the line. I use the lanyard hole at the end of the clipper to hold the hook while pulling the knot tight.

Easiest and cheapest way I've seen to make these. Not sure I'd use this set up for myself, but for selling my jigs with stingers it saves me money.

Instead of trying to tie two overhand knots on top of one another just tie a surgeons knot for that step.
Great video though! Thanks!!

@@obscur156 no worries unfortunately after trying this it tends to either loose the hook some how or tangle the plastic thanks anyway :)
@@Daniel-xc8nf I always hook the stinger in the jig end or minnow.
@@obscur156 yeh here's a few pics on how I've tried my stingers.

I caught 7 sauger this afternoon, most were on the stinger hook.
Yes ,i would say about the half of what i catch is on the stinger hook. Its effective for sure.
Wouldn’t the double line to the stinger double the pound test?
Maybe, but I doubt it, usually this is what is breaking first when it gets hung up on the bottom !
@@obscur156 good deal

Folks before you fish with this. Tie it at home and do a stretch test. My tests the knots pull out.
