I recently learned that George Carlin was the narrator. Now I always picture him narrating the show as if he was doing stand-up.
He was one, Alec Baldwin was the other.
But it’s so nice to know that even as a child George Carlin was educating me.
There have been many celebrities who narrated for thomas. George Carlin, Ringo Starr, Alec Baldwin and even Pierce Brosnan.
I've known Carlin was the narrator for a long time now.
I knew that too. There was this really old kids show that had Thomas the Tank Engine shorts in it called Shining Time Station. One set of episodes had Ringo Starr as Mr. Conductor while another had George Carlin. When were Alec Baldwin and Pierce Brosnan cast as Mr. Conductor?
Only in the American version, the original UK version was narrated by Ringo Starr for the first two seasons and then Michael Angelis who narrated the show up until 2012 when they got rid of the narrator and had the characters talk.

Whoever put this together, I applaud them for actually doing research on the Thomas series and this was a really nice parody. I even like how they got the designs of the fat controller and the mayor almost perfect.
