Hey, Im also in North Ms. ( Marshall County ) Im just getting started n Beekeeping. Do you use 1 Brood Box and then add the Honey Supers ? or do you use 2 Brood Boxes and then add them ? I know up north they use 2 but with milder conditions down here is 1 good enough ? Thanks !!!

It's good to see you! I have missed your jokes and have learned a lot from you. My question is what to do with all the extra beebread frames I have had to remove over the years because of to many in each hive? It's beautiful drawn comb completely filled both sides with pollen. I would like to get it out so the bees could use it. I will use 1 in each split but my collection keeps growing every year. I have tried soaking a frame in water and hosing out the pollen but it doesn't get it all out and the bees seem to ignore the older pollen frames and just keep collecting new pollen.
I can't give you a fast answer. Some colonies are bad about this. I think it would mildew if sprayed with water. What your doing, putting in hives that are not pollen bound is the best thing I can think of. Sorry. tim

As a famous boxer once said, “ Everyone wants to go to Heaven, but nobody wants to die”! 🤣👍 Go get a pint of Everclear and it will clean the propolis off of most anything, and dissolve rust real quick too!
Got a hive that comb has been built up and joined frames together in broód box. Put queen excluder on it cause top frames joined to lower frames...all boxes 10 frames. How do I clean up the mess without sacrificing brood?

Beginning next spring I’m gonna give this a go. When I do is it better to start my hive with a nuc ?

You must & just have to cut off all that burr comb
