I didn’t miss my 86 GN for years when I sold it but now that it would have been worth $100K+ plus everyone is bringing them back like this, now I do miss it. The drivetrain was great (mine made 555HP) but the rest of the car was a mid-80’s GM product (not their best era). The hydroboost brake system is Garbo. I switched to a traditional booster on mine. I would have restored to many of these items. This is a very good example T-type.
86 did NOT have Hydro-boost from factory; They had the very problematic Powermaster system. Good thing you converted to traditional vacuum booster, provided you installed a good check valve on the vacuum source line. I think that the Hydro boost system MAY have been better.
86 with extreme low miles going for 50 to 60k I don't know what you've been smoking. Everyone thinks there car is worth 100k LMAO 🤣
That squeak is not the dash, it is a hood stop just in front of the windshield in the centre under the hood. The hood is rubbing it. If you add a dab of silicone, or any grease for that matter on the stop, that squeak will go away.
You are right! I chased a dash squeak in my car for years until I figured out that’s what it was.
The Budnicks make that car and the interior is fresh and upgraded but true to the style of the car! Very nice 👍🏻

My brother had an 86 white T-type that was bought new by my dads ex-wife. He bought it from her in 89. At the time I had an 87 GN but I always liked the looks of that white T-type better. I really liked the turbine wheels that came on it though, prefer them over those wheels by far but everybody has their own taste. It ran 12'.90's right from the factory, a true factory freak.
@8:15 thats not the dash squeaking, its the hood, dab of grease on the rubber hood supports and it goes away.
Is the cam stock? I could not afford this car when I was 16 in 1987. This is the reason I bought a new 2016 F150 with the 2.7 v6. I love the way a turbo v6 sound when its making power.

Actually, it is a Buick Regal (J47),With the Turbo package (LC2), with the T package (Y56). The so-called Turbo-T was specific to the 1987 Regal WE4 package: Buick Regal, with Turbo package with T package, with the WE4 package (Specific black paint, specific grey bucket seat interior, specific blackout trim package (Available after December 11 1986. )
Calling THIS car a Turbo-T is just as wrong as calling it a T-Type.
I've owned my 87 turbo T for 33 years. It has the LC2 and Y56 making it a turbo T and its clarret red with chrome bumpers. WE4 cars are Turbo T s also but same as GN except the bumpers are black and wheels are aluminum turbo wheels you are correct with grey guts . WE4 option cars are very rare next to GNX at 1547 units produced.
@@DemoSam46 By your logic, that would make my (original owner and the one that ordered the car)1987 Buick Regal Limited with Turbo package(LC2) and T-package (Y56) a turbo T. It is Not a Turbo-t. Even more rare (1035 produced) than the Turbo-T (1547 produced) Never has been, Never will be. Yours is a Base Regal with Turbo with T-package, No name attached (4,268 produced).[ I also own several (and have owned other) other Turbo Regals.
My logic is my base regal with that LC2 turbo engine and the Y56 T package and the W02 black out package makes it (what everyone except you call it) a turbo T. You do have a very rare car... a 87 turbo T Limited. Try explaining your logic to Richard Lassiter or Dennis Kirban. Call your car whatever you prefer but mine is a 87 turbo T😊 and 86 and older are T types!
You can also have a Y56 car without LC2 turbo. They call this car a regal T. 305 V8 very slow car.
