Oh what a dilemma -- a partner not pulling their weight. As a single mother I know how difficult it is to confront an ex who is not consistent with support. But it also sounds like she may need to address the partner -- not easy but I agree with you -- very needed. Sometimes you need to take a deep breath and try to do the hard first. I agree the budget bestie is doing some really thoughtful things with their budget.👏
Sometimes splitting bills etc in half isn't an option, and if there is no scope for the partner to increase their income then I would look at ratios for splitting the bills. So as she gets 3 x the income he does, the ratio should be that she pays 3/4's and he pays 1/4 of the bills, so £400 is about right.
There's no reason that her partner really isn't contributing but is the reason behind some bills being higher than necessary. The partner is living above their means with the extra spotify and faster internet
Tell these folks to get a NEST thermostat saved me more than any other energy device and buy epson refillable printer instead of hp ink I have been 3 years and still havent ran out of ink unlike hp that i use to use 1 a month.
Lol I pay a subscription but you get free ink Upto 10 prints a month then it's tiered depending on how much you print to a max amount. Normally mine is around £1 and I do free lance work on the side. £4.99 seems a lot
@@briaexploresbudgeting we don’t have children so I’m guessing that’s probably why. And it’s just water. No sewer fees or anything because we all have septic tanks where I live.
Great video. I think you have a lot of helpful advice for the budgeter to get on track. Getting more support from their partner and having an emergency fund are really good places to start.🧡🧡
Even if the current partner picked up a couple of shifts at a second job? It is absolutely necessary that he contributes more to the household! 🧡
watching these makes me realize how truly expensive it is here in the USA. Mort $2300, Energy $280, Car Ins $130, Phone $122, water $75, HOA $50, etc
You all are a lot nicer than I would have been about the partner 😂 stupid love lol
We all need to start calling them Birthadys, love it. Great ideas suggested 🧡

🧡 something went wrong with the math at the envelops 550+80+40= not 710 but 670, liked it anyways
I have HP Ink on the cheapest sub - I use it to print Vinted labels. If I print at home and pack it I'm more likely to send it off 😂

I would just get a printer without cartridges and takea an ink bottle. Lasts forever and bottle can be bought whenever needed.
❤ good morning 😊

Our water wirh Dwr Cymru ( Welsh water ) is £59 now 😮
Jeez!
Ours is $44 every other month here in the states. That’s just water though, no sewage or other fees that some municipalities get.
@@btbudgets I'm in the states too and mines $75 a month

Envelopes total 670
The debt/savings should be £257.25 rather than £237.25
Came to say the same thing 😂
