It's my first summer delivering with UPS. The heat is no joke! Back of the package cars are easily 100°+. I always try to check in with the FedEX, Amazon, USPS and DHL drivers whenever I see them. Stay safe and stay hydrated!
This is why I left FedEx ground because of no AC and fan for the summer time. I got hired with FedEx Express and now I can enjoy AC in the sprinter vans and also have lighter packages to lift. FEDEX EXPRESS ALL DAY 💯💯💯
Props to da peeps who deliveries FedEx, UPS...Appliances etc. for 10-30yrs. Hats off to yall! Treat this way of life like the military and workout prior, during and after physically and especially mentally...the struggle is over real. I salute yall lads...

@@Mythical444 As a former Afghanistan veteran I actually work at FedEx Ground, I’m a yard switcher. So I’m out moving trucks in the yard in kinds of weather, our truck don’t have AC in the summer(minus a small fan) and in the cold we have little no heat in our trucks.

as a fedex ground driver in south fl, drink water!!!! no gatorade, limited sweet snacks. have a cooler with at least 8 bottles of water in ice and rice krispy treats. also, wear uv compression sleeves and leggings under your work shorts to collect sweat and keep you cool

Got woozy once from trying to do too many stops too fast, with no ac of course. I was trying to conserve my ice cold water until I really needed it. Well that day I really needed it. Ice cold water is a life saver to bring down your core temp.
I don't know how you can say this is better then Amazon. It's rare that we break our back like that using a dolly with so much packages all the way up to the 4th floor. Amazons alot more sensible and organized.
Stupid question.....but I have an interview for fedex express coming up. I just wanted to know if it was possible to vape inside or outside the vehicle on the job? I'm sure...prolly not while in the vehicle...I read somewhere that thiers cameras. But what about outside the vehicle, when im possibly delivering? I mean...its Not worth getting fired for...but would there be any possible way to sneak a puff?? I've become a kind of expert in this....theres no smell or smoke. I usually blow it into something to Dissipate the smoke. I sometimes sneak a puff in the bathroom at my current job lolz.

The cabs get up to 130 degrees fam. Did a 10 hour day today in this heat. We had a driver two days ago fall victim to the heat. We have a heat wave going in NY rn and for the rest of the week its high 90s.
@@Allenkcw is that driver okay? I’m a UPS driver as well, it’s real out here. My co worker was dehydrated to the point where his whole body was cramping up and it didn’t stop cramping until the night after. He had to call out for a day.
