Thank y'all SO much for the feature and the kind words... I'm beyond honored and grateful. I've had these same feelings of kindred spirits and musical siblinghood since the first notes I heard y'all perform, so I'd gladly welcome adoption! -Your long lost brother, James
OMG! Thank you so much for including me! What an absolute honor! And all the other Poe-llaborations were fabulous as well! I'd love to do a bigger Poe-llaobration with any of y'all. Hit me up if you're interested and we can see what we can come up with :) Larkin Poe - you guys ROCK!
For people who don’t know if they even like the Blues (“It’s too depressing!”), or if they can really understand it (“Don’t I have be Black?”), I’d point them right here. These LP fans and fellow musicians show how Larkin Poe uses music to express pure joy, and to spread that powerful vibe far & wide.🙌
Can you imagine how a musician that feels long forgotten reacts when their social media blows up because Larkin Poe covered one of their decades old songs?
So do I, You may also like Dea Matrona from Northern Ireland.Three incredibly talented young ladies(their drummers just outa of school)playing way beyond what you'd expect with skill and confidence 0ld time blues(the best version of crossroads since Cream at the Royal Albert Hall in 68 and its very tricky)Old time rock and new material. For a power trio, it's amazing how they can swap over bass and guitar and still be just as good. On UA-cam with full virtual concerts.
@@nickthomas181 Yes, you're absolutely right about Dea Matrona. Talked to Orlaith of the band for a bit during a Larkin Poe livestream. I just had to compliment her and her band when she was on the livestream. She's an LP fan. A lot of European musicians love LP; Laura Cox out of France is another one. 👍👍👍
Wow, this was incredible, i am blown away by all these amazing talents, i love it. This was really amazing, Please Do more Poe-llaboration videos. Stay warm and Stay Safe. Lots of Love ❤️❤️🙏😊
I’m so impressed with what you are doing. The collaboration aspect is really special, since so many of us have lost gigs and with lockdown, the chance to even rehearse. Btw it was -8 at the mitten, just a normal Michigan morning with a foot is snow lol. Coffee, a Les Paul, and practice amp was better than going to work.......
OMG! Sisters! You rock! Thank you very very much for including me drum cover to your video! To play with you together this song was absolutely amazing! The way you groove, sing and play the instruments!! I wanted just to play drums, when I saw your video! And it is really big honour that you saw and like my drum parts!! thanks, thanks! Love you!
I am sorry that I missed the live feed, just caught up and it's a fun video. There are a lot of very talented people out there, Thanks for sharing your talents with us all, and of course thanks to the ladies of Larkin Poe for setting this up. I enjoyed this a lot.
First of all, you guys need to get that Larkin Poe "mojo werkin'" and melt the snow and ice away with your hot music! Who needs a snow blower when you have Larkin Poe's music? 😊 Aside from your wonderful music, this is probably the best video you've ever done! 💖 My favorites are Brit Blues Man and the JBG bass player. It's so cool to see musician fans connecting with your music and just enjoying themselves so much! Hope you guys will do more of these kinds of videos. 👍👍👍👍👍
Hey beautiful ladies,I have been following you for 3 years and your music is great for my soul your personalities are stellar I have had some bad days and when I got a chance to watch your music video I didn't feel like life was as bad as it seems, thank you both for sharing your wonderful talents and God bless you, hope to meet you one day sencerly you biggest fan peace out.
The really amazing thing is that genuine human beings like these actually exist. As a blues player myself I used to lay down and gaze into the passing clouds, thinking about my dream girl and how she would be pretty, and yet humble, talented, decent human being, been through a lot and how it would show through her music. I know I don't have a shot at Lovell sisters and yet, just seeing them and hearing them kinda makes me happy. I'm not a religious type either but I believe in good an bad. Point is, Rebecca, Megan - you're bringing something good into the world. I know it's pretentious and q bit over the top - but I really love you both. In the most innocent way possible. I wish you all the best, stay healthy and never stop listening to that string in your soul, called the blues...
Just fantastic x.. you could almost add them into concerts in each of the collaborator’s cities or towns when you tour again...... Cheers from 🇦🇺 Australia ❤️
This was most enjoyable and definitely something to be repeated, I could watch it all day. Sorry I can't remember the names but I was particularly impressed by the guy doing the harmonies on Helplessly Hoping and the incredible slide player who I think would even impress Mr Trucks himself.
Your the best ever!! This was such a surprise to tune in to! So motivated to do more and love your reactions! What other band does this!!!? Innovation 🤓
This was a real joy to watch, and no doubt proof that the Larkin Poe community boasts some real passion and creativity. Nothing like seeing artists inspiring other artists, and the positive feedback loop that comes as a result of it. Stay safe out there folks.
As a (very non-professional) drummer I totally loved the drummer at 11:30! His feel is fantastic! He melded with your playing so awesomely well. Totally top notch.
You guys are so damn good and so were all these people. you guys should put some horns in some songs and play at Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe Il this year and get the funk on! if it happens!
I feel like my great grandmother, who was born in 1889, must have felt when men landed in the moon. In addition to being fantastic musicians, your mastery of technology is stunningly creative. Thanks to all of you!
More of these! Just getting to hang out virtually is a blessing in these trying times. It's freezing here in the UK right now too (though nowhere near as bad!)
Here 's an idea after this pandenic is over how about The Connectiin Tour featuring The Black Crowes and Larkin Poe? There's the family connection The Robinson brothers and the Lovell sisters, the Hotlanta connection and of course the blues/rock connection. Just a thought flioating around in my head. Wishing you all the best always.
Your ability to collaborate with others shows that you guys have a high level of professional musicianship. I look forward to the day that I might be able to hear y'all live at a show.
That dude at 11:24 is fuckin' AWESOME! ... EDIT: After watching it a 2nd and 3rd time I am convinced that y'all should hire that man to be your studio and/or touring drummer.
❤good and funny day to you Rebecca & Megan ❤ I thank you for everything you have donne for me . I never give up to Love you , both❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Now that is class and deserving of respect, when artists highlight the talents and ability of their fans. Though fan (derived from Fanatic) is probably not the correct term for most (I can’t speak for all) followers of LP. I see LP followers more as sophisticated, connoisseurs of music and true talent - one just has to read the numerous posts to recognise the fact. Respect and much appreciation LP (the band, not just the classy siblings who front it.)
@@tahoemike5828 Well, you know they're both Sabbath fans, especially Rebecca. Thought I'd mention it, but they rarely play anything I suggest unless others suggest it too.
Very cool video ladies, here's an idea for maybe another series. You ask folks to send you videos of them playing and/or singing. If you like what you here get back to them and pick a song between you guys. Then remotely make a video all of you playing to share with the rest of those in You Tube land who dig your music Maybe pick more than one person so you can make it a series Maybe to much to take on but it's just a thought Also if you don't needs to be going out in the fun weather don't, just stay home and chill
