I agree with it being a 1967 Ford Mustang. The VIN is stamped on the side brace, but sometimes it's been filed off or very faint and may be tough to read after all of these years. The VIN would get the win: 7 for 1967 model year, then either R for San Jose CA assembly (likely as you're in CA, this plant closed in 1983 and was called Malpitas Assembly), or T for Metuchen, NJ (also called Edison Assembly, closed in 2004), or F for Dearborn, MI assembly (closed in 2004), then 01 for coupe, then an engine code (various possibilities) and the rest is the production sequence. The VIN and other data is on a tag on the driver's door, but that left the conversation long ago.
@@ulrichskaarsgard7848 I wonder how long it's been there. With the EPA being so funny, I'm surprised that they don't force the owners to haul the wrecks up, no matter how ungodly the cost of towing it up
Reverse Rocket TV is rather fitting. Rockets go up. The cars you find down in those ravines and valleys kinda "rocket" off the road and down! Reverse Rockets, indeed!
@@reverserockettv007 yea I have been to this car a few times while off-roading in the area. There is a lot to see in the Black Canyon, Santa Ysabel creek area, but I don’t know other cars there.
Was the car stolen for front clip, rear deck lid, and both bumpers along with interior, and pushed off of the cliff at >30mph by a wrecker? Front would be so smashed up down there that no one would bother to unbolt it and drag it away through the woods.
Its an automatic,my 68 has same shifter.also it hasn’t a clutch pedal.if it was a manual, the car would probably be upside down, easier to remove trans that way.

Nice earth-tone color on that Mustang probably '67 model year. Shifter looks like its manual tranny, but I don't see three pedals, and that's a wide ass brake pedal only used on the auto transmissions. Motor has headers, likely a car driven hard and parked wet.
@@reverserockettv007 LOL, long enough for the parts buzzards to pick it clean (302 heads, intake, side scoops worth maybe $250). In buzzard time, that's almost an eternity.
'67 Mustang coupe. Has aftermarket A/C bracket and Monte Carlo bar, (engine cross brace).
First comment! Thanks for identifying it!!!
yeah certainly no doubt
Thats odd,the 45 degree reinforcement bars from firewall to strut tower on my 68 are two pieces,on this 67 its one piece.
@peterphillips1493 I believe someone commented it was aftermarket.
Good to see you back. Another great video love the California terrain. Hope your health issues are resolved real soon. You'll be fine.
Thanks!

It's a pretty 1968 Ford Mu 20:07 stang. It was actually an automatic car, as it only had a brake pedal, no clutch pedal
Yea I just figured that out. Thanks!!
67. Look at the side vents.
Stupid auto correct, it was supposed to be pre 1968. The vents were how I knew it was a 'Stang
@@dancline2143 It's officially a "Rustang" at this point.

1967 ford Mustang. 302 c4 automatic trans. Only had to pedals. The cable on the shifter is for the push button release.
Interesting! Thanks for commenting!!
Yes you would press the button. Which would engage the cable to the transmission.
Thx cool find I have been to that car
You sure about that??
Yes
Hey good to see you 👍
Rear valance cut out for subs and 6x9s, Headers, Grant steering wheel gone. Mustang. prob a 90s street car.

The VIN number should be there on the driver side close to that shock tower on the fender wheel
When I went to visit that Mustang I found the driver side door at the entrance of the trail lol

Set up for racing, most likely. For back in the hill days, I would imagine. The only reason I'd say that is for the
