- Hey guys! In this rs3 guide I'll show you 10 Tips For New & Returning Players for 2020. This guide should be really helpful for both new and returning players getting back into runescape 3. It will provide you with some general tips and advice for runescape and how to progress your account. I hope you enjoy!

One warning against D&D's and dailyscape in general. Though it is efficient to do those things everyday, like caches, sinkholes, and warbands, it can really burn a player out. Especially anyone who only has minimal time to play most days. I encourage doing things that are enjoyable over dailyscape if it feels too much like a daily job.
Like you dont have to do a farm run every hour. You can say fk it and keep bossing or questing.
Exactly. When I had little money and had to get 80 divination I was doing daily runs and 2 caches every day. It was so annoying and boring that I didnt want to play rs anymore lol!

that's actually a major factor for me quitting RS years ago... I was pursuing money and xp like crazy, doing all the D&Ds and buying stuff on shops to profit on the GE. It took out all the fun of the game for me :(

bro same thing just see the game on steam and downloaded and there is so much new things that i just give up on it already, just doing a layout is exausting and learning the new combat is really boring haha but it is still a great game with loads of content
Little tip for the Giant Oyster D&D... head to Lumbridge market in W84 beforehand and hang around until you get a boost to your gathering skills via pulse cores. Your boosted levels will increase the xp you earn whilst doing the D&D.

Great tips bud, can I suggest also adding the use of the wiki in the next video and also remind the brand new players to just have fun, there's no need to rush to complete the entire game as quickly as possible.

Desert pantheon aura can be earned by completing perfect shifting tomb runs. Doesn’t take too long, double surge and bladed five will greatly increase the time spent. Earn xp and gp while running tombs.

The last time I played RuneScape was 2007, thought Id check it out to see how much has changed and wow, after watching this its a totally new game
There’s another version which is basically the same as what it was in 2007 called old school runescape made my jagex
@@bagheadbaby the current state of old school runescape is nothing like it was back then, the only thing thats the same is the old graphics, and even they are getting more awkward with the new character models / any new update that brings a new area, it all looks like trash

After being banned for 13 years I decided to log back in and I'm so confused lol. This helped me so much, good thing they didn't take away my 99 mining and woodcutting 😂
The construction portable is INSANE. I went from 92-99 in a day last dxp. So much better than breaking your wrist spam clicking in house. I'd honestly rate it 2nd best after well in terms of QoL

I do hope they add Armor set bonuses to armor for if you are wearing 3/5-6 or 5-6/5-6 of the set you will get bonus in something kind of like barrows but then you could have 2 sets of 3 and have 2 different bonuses or full set of one to have a stronger bonus from that set
I played since the release slayer coming back now since covid. Now I want to do all of the quest, trying to get 80 craft and divination for invention. I came back after a four years hiatus

Heya, I'm Incredibly new to runescape downloaded it just yesterday. I had always looked away from runescape, as it had never interested me, but i had recently heard a lot of people talking about it and coincidentally it started showing up in my youtube recommended for some reason xD so I thought id give it a chance. Is there any advice for a f2p player? Cause I noticed some of these tips require membership and I don't know if this is a game that I'm ready to try and put money into as this is more-so a test rather than a dedication if that makes sense.. I've been told it is possible to play entirely f2p but at the start its incredibly difficult to get to that point and was just curious as to if there were any further tips to help me in that regard.

You probably already figured this out but it's the giant oyster d&d you can do once a month. Talk to Wizard Myrtle outside of the Wizards' Tower.
lol found it funny you said put the bonus exp on slower skills as you clicked on dung skill (which solo i was getting about 1m-1.4m an hour in it 99+ :P)

@@SilencedRS :P lol yeah when i was grinding for 120 dung on my ironman my whole clan was shocked how i could do 8 hours straight dung for 3 weeks straight XD my motivation was just getting to 120 so i'd just put on music and just grind for hours lol
I actually swapped out my bandos for elder rune +5 and it feels like I can boss way better. Is it just because I’m taking less damage? (99str/att 96def btw)
Heights its because you have no nipples
yeah prolly cos its tank armor you last longer during the fights. whatever u prefer damage vs. survivability
maybe because its T85 vs 70, you should compare it to torva/masterwork instead bandos is more for Standard Pvm/Slayer low-mid bossing
Daily's are nice.. but RS3 has so many D&D's and daily's it can be extremely hard to keep them up, I suggest just doing the ones you find enjoyable =)
also, start them spread out so the week and month ones you dont do all at once

Yeah, I came back to rs3 yesterday and found it in the settings under combat somewhere
Rs3 is being rather user unfriendly with certain settings. You gotta press escape, settings, combat settings and then combat xp and it should be there.

1,660 days I logged back in yesterday. I remember I got 99 fire making on my account years ago and said fuck it I’m done playing then I started playing OSRS. But man I never stopped watching RS3 videos and I had to get back into it.
so theres no way to use our old accounts back on oldschool RS? it automatically goes to RS3?
You can log into osrs but you start from scratch
Been back a couple months after being on and off sporadically over the last like...7-8 years? Too much has changed. At first, I liked Treasure Hunter and its little bonus xp and lamps. But lately, I find myself wondering wheres the feeling of achievement once I gain a goal because I essentially "cheated". I almost even considered buying a bunch of keys. Decided to stop and go do the long grinds to get to levels the old fashioned way. Also I miss how lively the game use to be, socialising and speaking to different players, I miss my old clan chats and pals who have probably quit years ago and moved onto other things. While I still love playing, the game is not the same as it was in its hey day
Maybe play an Ironman?

So. I have played since like 2009. Dude, what happened since then. I got to like combat lvl 60, felt pretty cool with my rune armor and completed all my free player quests

Hey, you probably won't answer me but maybe some of your viewers will. I'm currently a free new Runescape 3 player from steam and I'm done with my tutorial and nothing happen and now I don't know what to do other then getting wood,ores,food etc

Only train herblore on dxp, literally halves the cost

The only tip that's probably beneficial to an actual new player is doing quests

I started playing again after about 14 years of not touching it. Y’all when I tell you I am so lost on what all this new stuff is lmfao
haha i feel u same thing happened with me came back after quitting in 2008, it seems overwhelming at first with all the changes but once youve seen all the main new stuff you soon realise it hasnt really changed that much, same old grindy rs just a more polished - over complicated version now
It's been since 2013 for me. Unlocking curses and prif is about 40 quests alone 🙄

Isn't the t99 prayer better than t92? So upgrades should go weapon first till ur t90, then get prayers and essence of finality before t92 weapons

I would actually recommend newer players to start by making an ironman.
Being ironman forces you to discover many parts of the game that otherwise you wouldn't ever have too touch.
Then when you come to a conclusion about what part of the game you find fun you can choose to stay iron or convert account into a normal account.
This will slow down your early game progress but I think that's fine. You shouldn't be so focused on making most amount of progress in the shortest time when you start.
Make a grindy game more grindy for amateur players who are likely looking for a casual gaming experience(?), nah fam.
I agree for someone coming from osrs and understands the game but I think the grind would put off newer players. Good idea though. I think I might do it.

Played RS3 4 years ago or so and upon logging in Im just lost and uninspired. I dunno what I was doing, remember how things really worked, or care about it. =/ Unfortunate.
I was in a same boat and decided to strart all over again. Create new account and play alittle, after some time you can return to main acc or just keep playing on fresh

Honestly the game is so confusing especially the interface and options menus. I legit have 250 days play time a max cape before Archaeology 120 mining over 3k boss kills and after not playing for a few years I legit don’t know why the fucks going on anymore can’t imagine what new players feel like when starting.
What do you find the most confusing?
@@SilencedRS basically everything like it shouldn’t take 10 minutes just to find out how to change what skill I want xp in for combat when changing from defence to strength. Idk game just doesn’t feel the same as it used to.
