I had good success starting Bok Choy and Winter Squash. Good germination rate and strong growth. I took out and replanted the old spring crop of cucumbers which was starting to produce again after shading them but nowhere near as nice as they could be. It's a little bit of an experiment but they should have enough time to give another crop before it gets too cold. They sprouted after 4 days! Broccoli, Cauliflower and others that start from very small seed and is planted only 1/4 deep just won't do for me right now, I guess I just can't manually water enough to prevent them to dry out.
I'm looking forward to cooler weather too.
