If you're a fan of actual basketball then you have to love watching what the Heat are doing... winning as a team. Not Talent. Not Superstar iso ball. Not super team building.... this is honest, old-school basketball by committee... and they've completely shattered the spirit of the paper champion Boston Celtics... Time to go broom shopping... Regardless of who would win a series between the Nuggets & Heat, I'm most excited about how competitive the series would be. Ultimately I think Denver would win because they have a better collection of talent. But both team will compete and exhaust each other. Neither team subscribes to the bs of the national media and they both play 'as a team'. That's what would make it such an exciting series, it would/will be a slugfest.

What makes this Miami ohh so more impressive is that they lost Tyler Herro back in round 1 and are still balling at an elite level. Thats coaching and leadership, with a little next man up sprinkled in.
Miami vs Denver would an all time finals matchup, a team with a former MVP and is super loaded and deep vs. arguably the hottest team in the league with mounting injuries but still somehow have the mental toughness to be here… again… credit Spoelstra, credit Butler and Adebayo but even the role players of Miami have all stepped up. It's not like we're youngsters, but the Heat sure makes us feel young at heart! I really love the way Eric Spoelstra has been able to insert the right player at the right moment. The cohesiveness and smooth transition. Each player is hungry on defending the basket, and shooting the ball with accuracy from the outside and also taking the ball to the rim as well. Like we always play our best when we drive inside and attack the rim. And we can't get a rebound but he doesn't bother to put Rob Williams in, like he can't do anything. He can't compose the team at all when the other team goes on a run, he just says shoot more 3s which works once out of 20 games. Like if he is not fired by the end of the year, I'm done. *Hmmm, Miami in 4 maybe possibly... The moral of the story: A 3% chance is all u need sometimes; forget the external chatter, if u possess the confidence in yourself, a lot of hustle along with some motivation + dedication can take you far, even when u may not exactly possess the high-profile experience and/or outstanding credentials on paper, once u believe, your morale will shoot up sky high, & then you shall achieve! *HEAT @ Finals game 1 on June 1st anybody? *This series reminds me of 2004 Finals Detroit vs L.A. on the premises that a team that together executes hard work, grit & grind can overcome a team of extreme talent under the right circumstances when everybody buys into the system and performs their specific role to a T.

Much easier said than done. Most teams might WANT to do that, but executing it takes a lot of hard work and buy-in at every level. This is (for the most part) the work of Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra over YEARS of cultivating a culture of discipline, grit, and empowerment. Everybody in the league knows that, to play for Miami, you have to maintain a body fat percentage and conditioning that most stars don't want to work for. That's why Miami loves UD. He exemplifies that unselfish, dog fight mentality. Doing the little things that help the team win, even if it's not offensively.

It was one of the most “poor focus” game of a team I have ever seen. They quit. I love hearing ESPN Brian Windhorst and Tim Bontemps say all postseason saying that the Celtics are “unfocus”, “unserious”, and “just play around too much”. They believe their talent will bail them out, and it can, but not when you’re facing a tough mental focus team like Miami. My Lakers may get, probably will, swept by Denver and that’s because Denver is just better than us at all talent levels. Celtics get swept it’s because they didn’t bother to show up.

2:54 = That moment when Williams pointedly turns his back on Jimmy rather than look him in the eye 😂😂😂
The one thing that nobody seems to understand about Spo and the Heat is that they don't play for seeding, they just want to get into the playoffs. On a regular season, 1game basis, Spo is a great coach and his record reflects it. Get him into the playoffs and it's (quite literally) a whole other ballgame. Once he has those seven games with time to make the adjustments, Spo is a strategic and tactical genius. He enters each game with a set strategy and then makes those tactical adjustments that all but ensures his guys get the win. There have been times our players have been outclassed, I can't think of when we were ever outcoached. What Spo'Riley has gotten out of THIS lineup is absofknlutely astounding, if I were a religious man I'd call it miraculous.
