What a wild round! Hope y’all enjoy this
How did Micah play in this tournament
Grant I’ve always wanted to meet u Micah Henry and the Good Good boys
Hy grant am from Brunei hope can play with u one day n am still a biginner❤
Where is the leaderboard
Very good effort I wish to compete like this. When you mentioned that the range warmup was not hot I knew mentally its already a tough day.
Grant wanted to pay homage to his week with Rick Shiels by sending his first tee shot to the right. Respect
😂
@gr4303 hold on... do you think a caddies only job is to carry your clubs?😅
@@SpencyP92that’s exactly what he thinks haha
@gr4303lmao...the caddie does a lot more than walk with your clubs...
And his Snap as the putt started breaking toward the hole! Didn’t know if many caught that!
Henry, you are a terrific caddy. Taking care of your guy, both on the course and in his head. Bravo, young man. 👊👊👊
It’s the vocal fry that drives me nuts
@@MichaelWoods-fc8me You may want to look up 2019. Major changes to the rules.
@@ryanwhite1683 Okay, then why do you watch? Honestly asking. :)
But he’s terrible at opening mayonnaise
Caddy or player can touch putting line. Didn’t see the behind the setup
I love Henry as a caddie. He's got the perfect combo of aggressiveness, ability to realize when to take the safer route plus that confident killer attitude that it takes to be successful in tourney golf. I think he'd be a good asset to anyone he's on the bag w.
Nice round! The occasional tournament is a great addition to the v-log!
No one is asking you to become a full-time touring pro, but a few tournaments here and there is great for content! It allows the viewer to get a good picture of where you stand amongst the guys who are competing at a very high level.
Yup! Not gonna be doing a lot, just some here and there
@@GrantHorvatGolfs
Great!
I think ~5 a year is the perfect number
@@DanielSong39 great comment about showing how he compares against guys at a higher level! Fun to watch!
@@bobr6072- Grants positive mental game keeps him in there when others might not.
@@danmyers9372 he also can relax because he isn't playing for his livelihood.
That adrenaline is no joke. After shooting in the 70s my whole life, I entered a Senior US Open qualifier for my first “real” tournament. Shot a 90.
There are very few UA-cam golfers who can keep my attention for a full round. You are definitely one of them!
It’s a really good, honest depiction of the impact that pressure can have on your game…..Grant shoots par golf on much harder courses that he doesn’t know when he’s filming entertainment content, and capturing this vlog of a competitive round shows you the impact of pressure and when you get over the hump and relax, how much better the swing becomes…..this is really GREAT stuff. ❤
Watching this video with Henry as Grant's caddy reminded me of the famous 16th Century Spanish novel by Cervantes with Grant as the wildly optimistic and fantastically chivalrous knight Don Quixote de la Mancha and his faithful, but the supreme realistic and practical squire Sancho Panza. Grant and Henry embody the characters.
Really shows how much nerves and the mental side can play into it at a tournament level like this, great work out there Grant!
Personally, tournament scores are all that matter to me. People talk about theoretical handicaps all they want but none of that matters if you can’t play tournament golf
Grant you should do more of these videos.
Micah was probably like "can't wait to play a round not on camera... "
Everyone loves to make fun of him haha. But he is better than 99.9% of people watching. He has flaws when compared to the best but lets not pretend like Tig is not good. That is just silly.
@@Joseph-ny5rrI don't think I've ever seen anyone say that?
@@Joseph-ny5rr
No one said he isn’t good, he is really good.. just knot good enough to be a tour pro, and the harsh reality is he never will be
@@Joseph-ny5rrhe wouldn’t even be too 10 in my local mens league. There’s plenty of scratch and + golfers in my league. Micah hasn’t even shot even par in a single tournament that he’s video’d. So, Micah is not a scratch golfer, he’s not that good
@@rustyshackelford986 mm i doubt thats true. If hes shooting 75s on a pro course usally 7000+ and on difficult courses, hes most definitely breaking par on local courses. Most courses for pros cant really hold up because they will just drive it to 60 yards out on every par 4 (some closer, some longer) and stick it most of the time.
Henry's always a welcome addition to your videos.
The Grant/Henry brotherhood is always a fun watch. Great video, G!
Lol Micah in the background staring forlornly into the water on 7.
You definitely have a good rapport with Henry, and you guys work well together on the course.
Great playing Grant! Also great caddie work and commentary by Henry! Let’s see more of this.
Go back to the 5th tee box. You took off before I could get a good glimpse of the lady walking up behind you guys. Thanks
Being able to grind when you don’t have your A game and still finishing in 12th place says a lot about your mental composure! More tournaments please (with Henry on the bag of course!)
Spoiler
It's bloody top comment so it appears alongside the video. Didn't even go looking at the comments and this twat spoils it.
Nice, Featured comment with the results. At least I don’t have to watch the video now.
Hate when ppl do this
UA-cam needs to put the comments back at the bottom, no clue why they moved them in the first place.
Great video Grant.. keep up the great golf and fantastic content on your channel.
Your first tournament video is literally my favorite UA-cam video of all time, seeing this pop up on my screen made my day
He's played in a tournament before and cashed, he posted that a few months ago
Pinwheel was a great caddy. Good vibes all day.
I’m sure Micah was extremely proud of himself for how he handled it mentally .
When there's a little something at stake it makes it entertaining for the viewer. Thanks for putting yourself out there for the content Grant. When year of the beast is around you guys should colab a tourney together. You guys play off each other and settle into golf so well.
You have a really nice swing, Grant. You rarely overswing and your tempo is spot on. I would say that you don’t practice around the green enough. I’ve watched you since good good and it just seems that that’s your Achilles heel. Keep doing these, they’re really enjoyable to watch. Your attitude is amazing. Clearly your biggest strength. Fun stuff!
Oh look It's Frick and Frack together again
Listen to Henry on 15, immediately changes the conversation from last hole to an optomistic view of the shot in front of them...that is a great caddy!!
Keep these pro comps coming, Grant. It’s refreshing to see how you approach them.
Henry is a great caddy for Grant and to keep him positive and positive about the club and shots grant's hitting
Henry the motivational bagman is the standout feature of this video. Along with some pretty good golf
Great round without hitting like I know you usually do. Thanks for taking us along
The guy you are with is such a good vibe. You need to get him on more videos 👍
My favorite Micah video!
Nice job Grant. Love your positive outlook on the course. It really carried you on a day you really didn’t have your game. Hey did you hear George Bryan tied for medalist today in his Tour School first round tournament? Year of the beast!
For sure my favorite kind of content man just makes me root for you every shot ya know what I mean. Putting was fire rather they dropped or not.
Well you waxed Tig lol
Way to go Grant! When’s the next one?? Let’s go! And get some squeeze mayo for Henry..🤣🤣
Micah saying “it wasn’t bad, 3 over” is hilarious. Him claiming the tournament golf thing needs to stop, never going to happen.
Meanwhile grant shoots even without his best stuff and talking to the camera the whole time…Micah just ain’t built for competitive golf
Micah needs to stop trying to only qualify for pga events. You need to be an accomplished amateur before you take on the pros. It builds confidence and mental strength. I’ve been there. Shot the most humbling 82-75 of my life. Micah is good but there’s no shortcuts to competing on tour
Mf’s can’t have goals and aspirations or what??? Y’all negative af
@@Tha7DRI'm thinking the same thing lol
Top shelf content, once again! It's been great so far, watching your skill improve to THIS level. Looking forward to watching the next evolution! Keep up the great work!
Rumor has it that to this day Henry is still trying to open the mayonnaise!😂
Thought for sure that sucker was going to suddenly pop open showering Henry in Mayo!
@@danmyers9372 LMAO 🤣 right. That was my exact thoughts
Fav kind of video
Grant that was awesome. You are definitely on to something with these tournament videos. I enjoyed this one just as much. Really really good putting despite the birdie misses. Can't wait to watch the next one 👍
Front 9, funny, always on the left side of the flag! Fantastic putting!
Lmao what is Micah doing down by the water on that one hole? He looks very lost
This guys putting is excellent. He has a superb judgement of pace.
Tig with yet another fine performance..😂😂😂😂
Grant George Bryan dominating Q- school. Is next year Grant’s year of the beast?
If Grant could qualify for something like the Colorado State Open and make the cut there I think that would make for amazing content
If Grant starts playing like a future PGA Tour pro we would all know, he would pull an Eric Cole and start winning 1/3 of these mini tour events. He would be killing George and Wesley in their matches too.
If something like that happens I'm sure Grant will submit a Q school application
@@DanielSong39 if Grant decided he wanted to test himself professionally which I know he says he doesn’t. He could get really good real quick with a few minor game changes. I mean George Bryan just won his first round of Q-school. George is the real deal and Grant could have that kind of game as well.
@@Lovetheducks I'm sure if Grant shot a couple of 61's in mini-tour events he would change his mind
@@Lovetheducks stop comparing Grant to George! George was a 3 time All=American at University of South Carolina, while Grant averaged 75 playing D2 Golf! The pedigree is a little different, Just enjoy Grant pumping out UA-cam content.
@@bobr6072 or how about you think and say as you please and I will do the same but thank you for trying to tell me how to think and what I can enjoy
Henry is such a great person to have on the channel; awesome caddie!
7:24 is me EVERY time I play golf!!
A Caddy AND a Hype Guy! Everyone needs one of those!
Henry opening the mayo was reminiscent of Cold Cuts trying to get the last Pringle (but one was drunk, and one wasn't)
Tin Cup Grant, "We din't coome to lay up." I Lovve it.
I hope you heard me yelling at you when you missed those short birdies, lol. Really enjoy these videos!
The more Henry the better
Rick would be proud to see you using the putter off the green lol..
Thanks for bringing us out on the course. Hope to see more of both of you out there.
Grant, you’re awesome man! Hope to meet you one day.
Appreciate you hunter
Love this Grant at least 9 reaction videos coming from this😂
Grant,
I played a tournament today too. I love your demeanor and your attitude... I noticed that most of your approach shots are pin high but left. You would have scored 6-7 under if you angle of approach was dialed in, Your abilities are extraordinary. Under pressure during a tournament I have the same tendency to pull or draw the ball more... suggestions?
Bowling, if you are right handed a hook is good in bowling lol....
Nice round. 👍👍
Professional Tournament with a golf cart? That's prohibited here in Europe.
And damn those holes/fairways are so wide 😲. Your drive on the first hole would be lost ball on our park land courses.
dude henry on the bag is a MUST for all tournaments going forward! what a G
I think Micah needs to watch this video to see what kind of attitude you need for a tournament. Just need to relax, have fun, and move onto the next shot.
So Micah doesn't break par. Shocking.
He is trusting the process……
Love watching you play Grant. Your swing is so effortless and you always make long holes look easy with the primo swing. Keep the videos coming and best of luck to you and Mica.
Just once I want to see them both take it way under par and battle head-to-head for the W
Love Henry as your Caddy his advice "You've done this 1,000 times" was First Class. Well Done Henry
Love Henry on the bag
Ah Grant, you know I love these videos! I understand that this isn't your focus, but it's a treat and I'm happy to get them when I can! 🙂🙏🏻🔥
You should come to Ohio and play with my high school golf team
Come play Jax Beach Golf Club and see how it stacks up to other Muni courses!
15:53 I swear to god it sounds like they are the same person talking to eachother 😂
Archetect: Which water features would you like a fountain on?
Owner: Yes.
Grant, I really enjoy watching yu push through days like this when your game is not its best
Henry is a superb caddy.
henry is the GOATED caddy
Headed to Florida in a couple weeks, putting Abacoa on my list. Great content, decent 18, you & Henry are a good team.
Love the content Grant. Keep up the great work and positive attitude. We can all learn from your positivity!!!!! Well done!!!!
Any video with Henry is a W
More of this content. Literally stopped watching all my golf videos for this.
No chirping from Micah the whole round
Great video looking forward to your next tournament. Keep it going and getting better and better do the things you fear and your fear will disappear. Thanks
You will know the level of your caddie when he looks at you standing over and eagle putt and says “I couldn’t want to be here less because I want to be eating my sandwich!” 😂 😂😂 💀
Get your irons bent 1 degree FLAT. You're missing your approach shots consistently 15 feet left of pins. YOU'RE WELCOME!!😊
That was super fun to watch! i agree... those are super fun as it brings that tournament feel to the channel and we get to go hole by hole rooting for you!
Come play a round in south central, pa with me and my crew
He should come back to PA and play. That’s where he grew up
Would love to play a round at the links of gettysburg with Grant or any of the good good crew
Love this series
Love the new putter. The stroke is looking way more comfy as well. Keep that thing rolling
Makes so much fun, watching great golf looking so easy…keep on joining those tournaments
@user-qo1gh7mp1j scam Account
13, look at the divot, almost straight at it..NICE SHOT!
I just kept seeing the Phil Mickelson smile the whole round 😁
so glad grant went back to the blade 🙌🏽
I need your boys watch. The old school Omega is my dream watch!!
Crazy how you can recover so well. I hit one in the water and next thing you know I’m 7 over on the 4th hole
I would love to see more content like this. I’d love to see you compete in more tournaments just to see where you stack up. Maybe bring home some Benjamin’s.
He did bring home some Benjamins his first try! I'm guessing he will do 3-5 of these a year
For one of these I'd like to see him try to qualify for an independent tournament/state open with $100K purse. Yeah it's more of a commitment but it's once a year. The other ones would be the 18-hole minitour events
One Shot at a time. Go get them. Grant. Love your videos
More tournaments!!!!! Love watching these.
Henry said it best! Grant shot even par on a tough course and still finished 12th out of 29 golfers! These pro's are good and they struggle to get major tour status!
Henry is the ultimate hype man
Grant, I love your content. You have a great attitude and personality. Keep up the great work.
I've been golfing for 49 years. In that entire time, I have owned one, single Ping putter. I figured, EARLY, that I needed to learn that club. It has worked for me..I have had the rep, for decades, of being an excellent putter, and almost always putted last in scrambles. It amuses me to see young guys changing putters like their tidy whities. Silly.
Easily over half a million putts with my Ping.
That new flat stick could be a weapon…strokes looked really confident. Looking forward to seeing you do some damage with that thing.
