- This is my full overview of opening, painting, retrofitting, and resealing my stock 2015 Silverado LTZ projector headlights... As I said in the video text, I am not a professional!!! I just wanted to see if I could do it myself!!

Assorted sand paper, wax and grease remover, aerosol cans of primer, paint, and gloss were purchased at Oreillys
RGB demon eyes, halos, and resealing butyl were purchased at www.theretrofitsource.com/
Clear side marker lenses were purchased at klearz.com/
Super glue, plastic bonder, and beading wire were purchased at War-Mart

Good job man! Looking to do this this weekend on my headlights on my 2019 I just bought. Hopefully it goes smoothly lol. Bought my lenses from klearz aswell. Is the sealant permaseal on your headlights or something else from the factory?

@@JoseLopez-gq5zh I hear permaseal is the devil. Did you have any issues with your clear lenses during the reheat? Klearz is recommending that I dont reheat over 150f when resealing headlights
joshua solon not to my knowledge man. I painted mine so idk if that helps or hurts the integrity of the lenses but I didn’t have an issue with the clear lenses man!
I know im late but please tell me what brand led turn signal you used in place off the factory bulb for the life of me i cant get a set that wont flinker thanks
Respect man. Much Respect. I had a damaged pair from a body shop because I wanted to rob parts out of them... And by far these are the absolute biggest pains in the a## to separate. I didn't have to be gentle with mine and they where still so so hard to open.... The second one I just used a Dremel and a hammer. Which I don't suggest if you wish to ever use them again. But it made me feel better after the first headlight

Jose Lopez I have a 2014 silverado what do I need To run16 headlights?
How did you paint the side markers with that design. I understand buying a clear set from klearz, and I've seen various designs. My question is, how? A sticker? Then paint over all of it and peel after it's dry? While it's wet? If you used a stencil, how did you adhere it to the side marker while painting? Probably really easy, but I'm just having a hard time imagining how exactly it was done so well.
You did really good on these lights when you had them. I'm learning as much as possible before starting my own retrofit project.
I purchased a less adhesive, almost transfer tape type of sticker. It was transparent but had a blue tint to it. I placed it on the marker, painted the marker, then after it fully dried, I peeled the stickers off very very VERY carefully with a needle and a exacto knife! The type of sticker I bought (I was told) was perfect for this type of application! Painting over then removing! I can’t remember what it was called but I got it at my local vinyl store!

Zack Aubin the projectors are factory in the LTZ and Highcountry trim bro!
did you remove all of the headlight assembly before baking it or did you just remove the led
bulb?
Aaron Adkins I removed everything that I could before I put it in the oven! All rubber gaskets, all bulbs and wiring, and chrome trim. I removed it all bro
awesome thanks, on my 2016 headlight i dont think i can pull the entire hid assembly out without having a special torx bit tool so fingers crossed that can make it in the oven, i know i can remove the bulb but all that other stuff seems impossible

What are you using for tape to reattach the trim ?
sitnlow4life I didn’t use anything. I made sure not to break any of the tabs on the chrome pieces. The double sided tape stayed with the chrome pieces

sitnlow4life the double sided tape was still sticky. It worked out perfectly

Next time put wood blocks under the headlight to prevent any pieces from melting since it was touching the metal it transfers heat better than wood

How did get clear Amber signal covers if I. The beginning they were orange? I'm trying to do mine there orange on. Both sides I want to paint t them black did u paint them on both sides or just the front part
Lifted2014Silverado I bought clear reflectors from Klearz.com. If you don't care about a light emitting from the turn signals, you can just paint them

What bracket did you get for the demon eyes, and did it attach to the factory projector correctly?
Curtis Garren I fabbed it myself with a piece of metal and some pliers man. I matched it to the holes and drilled em out myself!
What size halos did you use??
Clint Dorman man I’ve looked and looked and I can’t find which size halos I bought! I wanna say they were 80mm but dnt quote me bro! I’ll keep diggin and see if I can find out
