Is it easy to remove a card from the card slot from the Gucci one? I just bought the ophidia one. It’s part canvas n leather. But SO hard to remove a card. I guess with time it may stretch out slightly. Not sure though. But right now it hurts my fingers n nails to get a card out.
What is your take on SLGs in canvas vs leather, in terms of durability? I have heard many claiming that LV’s canvas SLG is extremely durable, but I am not sure if they wear well longterm. I only own LV’s SLG and have yet to invest on leather, whether Chanel, LV or Gucci.
Great question, LV SLGs are quite durable I know people who’ve had their pieces for almost 10 years and they are still in pretty good shape it’s impossible for an item to not have any wear at all. It depends on the type of leather you get, grained leather typically lasts longer because you can’t see the scratches on them compared to smooth leather. I would go for a canvas SLG over leather any day because they last longer in my opinion. Hope this helps
Mattie Oyewo I’m loving it so far, the slots are pretty snug. Even though it only has one card slot on each side vs the Gucci that has two it still holds my ID, a few cards and some cash in the middle without being too bulky. And of course girl I always look forward to your videos 😊
Strange question but why would someone buy a cardholder? Seriously just came across them and they seem a lot less functional than a wallet or cellphone case
not a strange question at all, I don’t think card holders are for everyone but they are very functional, I don’t use a lot of cards on a daily basis and majority of my bags are mini. They definitely don’t fit as much as a compact or full size wallet but they fit just enough and they are cute 😊
They are good for people who don’t carry cash around with them and only use cards mainly on a day to day basis. They also fit the odd note/Bill if or when needed to.
I totally understand your question, I actually felt the same way about cardholders a few years ago. I use credit/debit cards and loyalty cards 99% of the time. I only use cash if I really need to. Also, I like to keep my ID, insurance card etc separate from credit cards, so what I do is I usually keep IDs and cash together, and use a cardholder for credit/debit and loyalty cards. It just makes me feel less paranoid because if I do lose my cardholder, it’s only my credit/debit and loyalty cards that get lost and I can just deactivate them, I don’t lose any cash and I also don’t lose my IDs, which would be a pain to replace. Also, it’s so convenient and easy to just pull out your card holder, pull out a card and pay. No zip, no nothing to get in the way. And lastly, I love to go as compact as possible, I usually carry small bags and I wouldn’t even really be able to (and definitely wouldn’t want to) carry anything other than cardholders or maybe small compact wallets.
