Hey i just got 2 of these a few months ago 97 triples plus 12 indys, both basically running just got a battery for one idk much about them but one runs great the other runs good just haven't had enough snow to get em out yet.. lmk how it goes, Thanks..
You shouldn't have turned it over with that Mouse Nest it could have sucked it into the engine. Also don't rev the motor with no belt on that's really bad for the clutch. You need a rear idler then you need to set the track alignment. If you run it without that idler it's going to tear your track up in no time. Also I suggest in the future that you actually show you doing some of the work otherwise this video was pretty much a before and after which doesn't make it exciting. I do love a revival video, especially rough sled ones like this
I would do more of a reveal video if we had more snow. Idler is on order, I would do better videos if I had someone help me can’t do it all alone and try to get something done lol. And never got the rpm’s high enough to engage the clutch to ruin it just wanted it off so it didn’t drag at all while turning it over.
I loved the XLT. They ripped. Out here in the west, if you tuned the clutches up to 9900 rpm, the climbed anything. They were light and good-looking
We’re hopefully getting some snow tomorrow so I may be able to rip it!
@@brunssenboy996 👍 tear it up
that definitely didn’t run last year lol but looks sweet!! could maybe use a carb clean or rebuild. they are pretty spicy units when you set them up
It did run last year lol it was a friend of mine

Ran it a few time and it’s a fun sled to ride! A lot faster than my arctic cat
cool stuff
How much did you pay for it?
$500
@@brunssenboy996 nice!
This was a pretty snotty sled!
Hope you didn't pay alot for it personally I would not own a triple
I turned around and sold it for a profit

Was it in a flood?
It was not.. (to my knowledge) just years of neglect behind a shed. I’m glad I saved this one.
@@brunssenboy996 very cool, do your research on the monoblock it had crank bearing oiling issues but there is a fix
@@traemiller9561 thanks! I’ll do some lookin
@@traemiller9561 very over exaggerated problem... Really only had issues with ones that were rode hard all the time
As an owner of 4 triples....save all the triples!!
