Jazz Bass Transcription of the late-great George Mraz. This is "Confirmation" by Charlie Parker as recorded by Tommy Flanagan on the 1977 Album "Eclypso".
This is a great solo to be studying, no doubt. However, the very 1st measure does appear to be wildly inaccurate. The solo begins with what sounds like an eighth note A on the downbeat, followed by consecutive off beat Cs... & of 1, & of 2, & of 3, & of 4, which then slurs (slides) into a C# on the down beat of measure 2 of the solo.
Forest, I actually 100% agree with that observation. I seem to have overlooked that small detail when I did this transcription a few years back (2020 or so) I hope you found the rest of it enjoyable and informative! Best, -Luciano Q
