Here are my magnetic magic rings. Because of their at first sight confusing and irritating motion, I called them the "Moonwalking Rings", a silly analogy to the famous dance move.
About 4 years ago i once did something very similar. I had two 2p coins and put a small strong magnet in the middle then clicked the top sides together and rolled it. I got the same effect and they spun for quite a while. I also found that if i rolled the down a vertical circular steel bar that it would do some pretty cool stuff.
The two rings combined just form one slightly oblong shape that rolls across the table when pushed. It doesn't change shape and the rings don't move relative to the other.

seems like I've seen the same effect in unbalanced things before, but maybe there's more to it with this one...

Cracked Emerald moonwalk means to go backward. it stops for a moment and goes backward, at the end of the video.
