Very nice and thorough introduction to the volution of number 24 SQUADRON ! I think the selection of words was simple and even a layman could underdtand fully the objectives targets and goals of the whole swuadron since birth and definitely what Pakistsn AirForce did on 27 Feb 2019 ! Kudos to our AirMen no matter on ground or in the air ! The acknowledgment goes to the lowest ranks to Junior Techs even and of course Sir Mujahid the Sipah Salaar of PAF at that time !
I have two questions regarding the kills we made
1- Why wasn't the kill of SUKOI 30 highlighted at all ? Even on the third anniversary of Operation Swift Resort it seems PAF is happy with MIG 21 kill , For any AirForce of the world s SUKOI 30 would always be better choice to be displayed ...why r we practically quiet on that ?
2- Question 2 is related to Question 1 , hypothetically if Abhinundhon had not been captured in Pakistan What would we have been celebersting today? still a MIG 21 kill or a better aircraft SUKOI 30 ?
India is celeberating an imaginary kill of F16 and they r making more noise than us !
So if India can eye the Americans on telling them that their MIG 21 killed an F16 we should eye the Russians by telling them that we have downed ur SUKOI 30 so better upgrade it !
in Soviet Afghan war we have the honor to kill 7 to 11 planes of Soviets and wr claimed whatever we shot down at that time ...why hiding this time ?

Dear Sir, Since the 3rd Anniversary of Operation Swift Retort is approaching on 27th February, 2022, I wanted to reach out to you and remind the nation through you about a forgotten hero in the history of Pakistan, Pakistan military and Pakistan Air Force. His name was Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Yunus. Long before the Indo-Pak war of 1965, first time in the history of Pakistan and PAF, AVM Yunus (as a Flt Lt) shot down an Indian Air Force Canberra, on surveillance mission, over Rawalpindi, on Eid Day, on 10th April, 1959, where the air crew of the Indian aircraft was captured alive and repatriated to India. This was a first successful ground-controlled interception in PAF's history. This was the first kill for Pakistan Air Force. The heroes of Indo-Pak wars of 1965, 1971, the Afghanistan war and then lastly the Operation Swift Retort of 2019, followed in the footsteps of Yunus and proved it, that PAF is second to none. The standards and traditions setup by AVM (Retd) Yunus and these other heroes of Indo-Pak wars are an example for future generation of Air Warriors of Pakistan Air Force.
AVM Yunus commanded the Bomber wing of B-57 during 1971 war and operated from Mianwali and was the architect of deep strikes inside India during 1971 war. He was Air Officer Commanding North Air Command under which the Air War of Afghanistan was fought. Later in his service, he served as Director General Civil Aviation, and post-retirement, he volunteered as Ameen Baitulmal Punjab.
AVM Yunus passed away in 2014. He never sought accolades, awards or recognition of any kind during his service and during his life. He was a true patriot, honest and a dedicated air warrior, who was ready to fight for his motherland, if called upon, even in the later years of his life.
Let us remember this forgotten hero and shed some light on his achievements. He was the first real hero in Pakistan Air Force.
This is why I love the country my father came from there is only learned men like this gentleman Allah Hu Akbar Pakistan = Blessed land, we are waiting for the right moment and watch Pakistan swoop down like a eagle from above with the Mahdi

@K P PAF never hides its air crash and in this day and age, its not possible. All air forces lose a/crafts in training missions, so if it was a JF-17 in Martin Baker ad, whats new in it. the news appeared in the local press here, in case you dont know !!

@K P still no proof of the f16 crash😂😂😂...but there are 2 proofs of su30 down....1 rahul kanwal and another repoter who was muted live on india today😂😂😂...and the 2nd is the mi 17 heli that was fratricided....wtf was there a heli way after the whole thing had happend flying in a no fly zone other than the reason that it was on a search and rescue for those su 30 pilots😂😂😂 ...now u can blab all u want spin the story all u want facts never change😂😂
The reason why Pakistan was not able to defeat the su-30 in that fight was the tvc control and ecm capability of the elta elm -8222 jammers. Those jammers were constantly jamming the f-16 radars. The falcons were jammed long enough for the sukhois to dodge the amraams.

Pakistan has biggest advantage of having good relations with all powers and we learn from them...
We learned from US about US EW strategy tactics and used their knowledge then we also learned from Chinese about their EW stuff and implemented it into our system biggest example is CENTAIC which will be a level up from current EW capability of PAF.. AI is the future and when integrated with PAF assets it will make PAF Blinders more efficient and more capable..

Sir I want to ask a question unrelated to this current and highly commendable PAF feast of 65 war.
Are you the same Masood Akhtar who was the wing man of MMAlam during his historic 5 hunters kill on 7th September 1965 war.
This event is related to one of the brightest PAF ace pilot MMAlam performance in 65 war when he made the history by shooting down 5 IAF hunters on 7th September but unfortunately one of the PAF senior pilot made a big question mark about his claim and thus endorsing the Indian rebuff of Alam claims.
Air Commodore Kaiser Tufail in his research proved 3 confirmed Alams kills but for the other 2 confirmed the damages of IAF aircrafts.
I feel very sorry about the facts that our own people do not respect our heroes and unfortunately come forward to second the enemy's propaganda against us. Look how the whole Indian nation.experts and the whole senior IAF officials maintained the Abhinandan FALSE PAF downing of F16.
If you are the same pilot Masood Akhtar who was Alam wing man who was eye witness of the whole episode then please express your sincere original story of the greatest single dayPAF performance of a heroic and very patriotic Pakistani pilot who became victim of poisonous propaganda against one of the greatest PAF AceFighter pilot.
The 2 IAF Hunters who were damaged Could fall in Indian territory and the pilots could bail out there so we dont have evidence of their wreckages.
Why none of our PAF Analysts put forward this theory if they witnessed Alams shooting of 5 IAF hunters.
I hope you will come forward and try to tell the truth.

Without going into any argument I just need to know the story from the witness of the events Fight Lieut. Masood Akhtar's testimony if written or told i camera.
Unfortunately Sq.Leader MM Alam had been victim of many peers jealousy and Pakistan has been known to downgrade their heroes.

Bhaijan I respect the rank of the officer, but I have a few questions:
a. When the IAF was on assault mission on 26th Feb, Mirage 2000 of the IAF crossed the LoC and planes were in Pak Airspace for more than 4min. Where were our CAPs and EWS SAAB?
B. On 27, your birds came to the so-called Swift Retort, but bhajans your AIM 20 AMRAAM has a range of 110km even after that our Mig21 was able to cross the Loc, doesn't it show the poor BVR training of your pilots?
C.Bhaijjan your CAPs of F16 was their in KPK on 26th Feb, but even after that your F16 was not able to connect AIM120 AMRAAM with Mirage2000?
a. PAF foiled your attack on 26/2 with rapid response (still no tangible evidence to corroborate 4 deaths let alone 450) and IAF barely crossed the LOC
b. Abhinanadan's Bison was blinded and lured into Pak airspace due to superior EW of PAF, the poor fellow never had a clue were he was hence he still had his fuel tanks attached to his Bison before he was hit with a long range AMRAAM, the blinders did their job PERIOD, the Blinders also did their job when they wreaked havoc on Indian communications network, hence you lost contact with MI-17 and in panic/ fog of war you presumed it was PAF platform (since you could not communicate with it) you roasted 7 IAf personnel,,,bottom line on 27/2 PAF was a step ahead of IAF PERIOD.
Per IAF sources they used Spice 2000 bombs, which has a range of over 60km but Balakot is only 50km from LOC. So it raises 2 questions, does IAF know how to use a stand-off weapon? or did they took a 4 minute bathroom break in Pakistan. It should have taken 10s of seconds to launch Spice 2000 and turn back not 4 minutes. I suggest ask Isarael for money back as you were using a stand-off weapon as a dumb bomb.
Bhaijaan you should ask one question to IAF, as you said Mig 21 crossed LOC and got hit but IAF showed a piece of AMRAAM 120C on media, ask them what that missile hit? I'll tell you the answer it's SU30MKI
So same questions can be asked about your patrolling Mirage 2000-5I and SU-30MKI pilots who failed to connect to not even a single PAF fighter out of the 24 plus jets. At least PAF fighters took out a Mig (confirm) and SU-30 (PAF is sure buy still a probable kill). Mig-21 (flown by a highly experienced senior IAF commander) was not supposed to be hit inside IOK therefore it was taken out as soon as it got blinded and crossed into our side. The only kill InAF mustered was its own Mi-17 with six IAF officers on board. So faulty training is amply evident....
