Miele W1 Excellence - Cottons Hygiene 90 w/ Prewash, Water Plus, Soak and Hygiene Plus (Full cycle)

Because the new Hygiene Plus option video has got the most votes, here is the video. A full load of towels on Cottons Hygiene 90c with Prewash, Water Plus, 30 min Soak and the Hygiene Plus option of course. The Hygiene Plus option is only available in the Miele App and it is basically like AllergoWash. It adds a steam phase after the main wash, adds a extra rinse and on temperatures selected from 20 to 75c, it increases them with about 5-10c. I have put the temperature sensor in the drum to check the temperature. As you can see, the prewash is at 32c, soak at 29c and the main wash is constantly held at around 77c with a 78,5c peak. I've also activated suds cooling in the settings menu but it is pretty pointless.. it adds only 2 litres at the end of the wash and the water is still 70c after that. The result was very good.

Die Option Hygiene Plus ist nur in der Miele App verfügbar und ist im Grunde wie AllergoWash. Es fügt eine Dampfphase nach dem Hauptwaschgang hinzu, fügt einen zusätzlichen Spülgang hinzu und erhöht diese bei ausgewählten Temperaturen von 20 bis 75°C um etwa 5-10°C. Ich habe den Temperatursensor in die Trommel gelegt, um die Temperatur zu überprüfen. Wie Sie sehen, ist die Vorwäsche bei 32°C, das Einweichen bei 29°C und die Hauptwäsche wird konstant bei etwa 77°C mit einem Spitzenwert von 78,5°C gehalten. Ich habe im Einstellungsmenü auch die Laugenabkühlung aktiviert, aber es ist ziemlich sinnlos. Es fügt nur 2 Liter wasser hinzu bei Ende des Hauptwäschgang. Das Ergebnis war sehr gut.

Miele W1 Excellence Cotton hygiene 60 with prewash, allergowash, twindos color, 6 hours soak, water plus and 3 extra rinses

I have the Miele wkh 270. With cotton 90 it heats up to 81°. With the Intensive option 83° but with AllergoWash 73°. Why? I don't understand the system behind it. By the way, cotton 90, water plus and stain option grass or fat heats it to 88°. Why not try it on yours?

So the Water cooling in the end of the main wash is just like "why though", I thought that, too. On easy care there is even a shuttle rinse. But on Cottons it simply adds 2 litres. haha. And the heating left me questioning, why can I choose between 60, 75 and 90°C when it heats until 73°C on 60°C w/ AllergoWash, and to 78°C on 90°C w/ AllergoWash? I don't really think that coloured laundry should be washed at 73°C because they start bleeding out but I still like the machine a lot.

Da machen die so eine APP und es ist nicht möglich so einfache Daten wie Temperatur und Drehzahl abzufragen.
Da ist Miele auch nicht besser als die anderen. Da wird ein Geheimnis daraus gemacht. ( Kopfschütteln)

I don't mind. 78,5c disinfects as well so higher temps are basically pointless.
