I always thought that accent was pure fiction, but there was a filmmaker a few years ago who interviewed her Asian aunts who were raised in Hawaii and I swear, all of them sounded exactly like Miss Swan. It's a peculiar combination of accents.

And its funny to remember how exciting it was to look through the tapes to try and find something that looked interesting, and it could be either good or bad or something inbetween. Even in the 90s they still had 47 cent Tuesday rentals (including new releases) and plus free popcorn I mean can you imagine 2 movies and a popcorn for a buck these days.
