Thank you so much for this. I’m such a visual learner and trying to learn this pattern from a bunch of other small things was hard. Definitely saving this for next time I make it too!
Thanks for your sew along videos. I don't read the instruccions because I don't speak Inglish, I Just saw the little pictures and guess what to do. Hehe, sorry for my but grammar. I really like this pattern. I made 4 tops the same day.
Thank you for these videos. The last couple you have done I have the patterns for and I really need sew-a-longs because I still can’t get it right reading the instructions 🤦🏻♀️
The more you keep sewing I promise you all those instructions will start looking the same again and again. When you watch the sew alongs, open up the instructions too. Watch but also read the pattern. I stay very close to the instructions because I remember way back when, when I started sewing and the instructions looked crazy to me. Some still do, especially some of the indie patterns. Eventually its all going to make sense to the point you will just glance at them.
You can baste it in but regardless you have to zig zag stitch that in to attach both pieces. So baste if you are putting it on one piece AND then stitching both pieces together (front and back pattern pieces). OR you can do it all in one shoulder tape, front and back pieces all in one pass on your machine, if that is the case then zig zag away. Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to help.
I used a double brushed knit fabric from Joann's. So any double brushed knit will be the same. its softer and it drapes a little nicer too. Its what I always use for knit tops or dresses. It feels so much nicer against your body.
Paola, a basting stitch its a long stitch you do just to try things on, OR hold something temporarily. Straight stitch you are locking in your stitches by doing 3 little stitches on your machine once you start stitching and then at the end. So you lock your stitches and you are not going back at all. They are locked in. With basting stitches you don't lock them, you use the longest stitch so you can easily undo them if you have to. So you baste if you want to try something on, or you baste if you have to secure something that you will sew later on with something else. Remember this .... baste = temporary and straight stitch = permanent. I hope that helps a little.
Pamela, I’m surprised you are having a hard time hearing me, I can even hear the pins when I grab them in the video. I also have closed captioning if that helps.
Oh my gosh I was so confused until this. You are an angel. Thank you

I love that top - it would look good on me. I will try and get the pattern and work with your sew along - thanks
Great pattern for summer. Make the sleeves shorter or three quarter length and you are good to go!

Is the shoulder tape stitch a regular zigzag stitch? But then The instructions say baste? Which one is it

Hello. What fabric type did you use?

Thanks for the sew along! I'm not sure if anyone else has noted that it seems like your voice is a whisper. It's just hard to hear.
Hi Maureen, thanks for the reminder to speak up. I am soft spoken and a few subscribers have mentioned it.
@@MassonLifestyle I do enjoy your videos. 😊
I get so confused between a basting stitch, a straight stitch… alll the stitches

@@MassonLifestyle yes ! This helps a whole lot. I’m barely learning and get overwhelmed with the sewing directions.
Talk a little louder... Thank you.

@@MassonLifestyle Maybe it's my phone... I'm not hard of hearing.
