I cried listening to this brah. This song just hits different in a way I cannot explain... This Community saved my life. It showed me how to become the greatest version of myself. Now it's just on me to become that person. Thanks, sincerely.
I want to share my story down here in the comments. In 2019 I had bad friends which lead me to a lot of alcohol and partying. I was 2 meters tall and looked very skinny, couldn't move right and everything felt loose like a rag doll. On the 4th July 2019 I got back from a appointment for an MRT because I had developed severe back pain. I drove through a passage in some hills and lost control, because i had a sudden pinch in my back, so I stepped on everything down where the pedals were. I just switched from 4th to 3rd gear and right when the clutch got in i panic pressed the gas pedal. My rearwheel drive cars tiers lost control and i crashed in the safety bar of the road, which prevented me from falling of 30m in to trees. My car was gone and i could not feel my left leg. I was released from the hospital the same day the accident took place. The doctors discovered a damaged spinal disk that was scratching on my Nervous system. I was down a lot by that point. On my birthday the 8th July my present was a disc prolapse as the doctors told me the result. Happy 20th Birthday! Turns out the downfall just started form there this year. a few days Later on the 18th July was laying on my bed in stomach direction writing with a friend about the new Blink 182 album. I wanted to get up for the toilet. But as i came up my left knee was on fire coming from my spine. I called my dad from my phone on the housephonenumber. It was like 1am. He dragged me from the bed like a corpse on the battlefield, towing both of my arms. I couldn't move or turn around my body so I could lay on my back. He tried giving me painkillers and cool my leg and back. I said if he could turn me around in one static move so nothing of my body moves, I could lay on my back. Then disaster struck. A PAIN SO UNIMAGINABLE INTENSE that I switched from unconscious to conscious with in seconds. My dad instantly called the ambulance. I got surgery. The Report said my Nervousystem was so infected that it almost died of. It was described as black to purple to me. If they had done the surgery a few days later, it would have died of. In the following months I noticed who my true friends were and cut every other connection to those that i ment shit but i would give my heart for. My so-called best friend didn't even came to visit me in my 2 weeks in the hospital. He rather wanted to go to parties. I cutted him off too. I was in 4 Hospitals from July to December 2019. In the last Hospital in Saalfeld, Germany the doctor finally helped my by injecting a catabolic steroid on the broken nerve to stop the protein to feed the infected area. It helped a lot. But the doctor said i had approximately 2-3 Months to start stabilizing my spine with strength training. That sentence was like a final warning: START NOW! OR YOUR FUTURE IS GONE! I was in an apprenticeship, as a mechanic. I was good, but this meant I could not do my job my life long. On the 4th December 2019 i started training in a gym for my back. And from there starts my journey. But just as i enjoyed the gym, i couldn't go anymore. Covid struck and the gyms closed. Many people started doing nothing, as it was regarded as useless if you trained at home. But i had the clock of my doctor in my head. 3 Months and it could very likely start again. I started developing a home workout routine with the Austrian youtuber sascha huber. He motivated me to go back every time and doing his workouts better and better. I was discovering bodybuilding with all the famous athletes Markus Rühl, Zyzz, Tom Platz and was inspired by their workatheic. Just the old training videos from markus 2000s and early 90s or the Speeches of Tom Platz were fascinating. I got my title in June as a mechanic and a job for one year in my company as of both me and my boss knew i couldn't work there for many years. My passion before bodybuilding was fixing my junk cars, and i thought there must be a way to study that. " Man you are living in Germany the CAR NATION with big brands" I looked up some Colleges and fund an exact fitting Bachelor for my passion. It was in Ingolstadt, the home of Audi. It was the nearest from home (300km) and NOW I had a goal. As soon as the gyms opened in June 2020 I was fire and flame with training, I was seeing my strength and muscle growing month by month. I was sure I did found a new passion. To give you an update, where I was with my training. I did listen to the advice of markus ruhl and my trainer and learned how my body is working. Mainly on machines. I was watching my diet again. I did this for over a year. I wasn't looking like a big guy, but I was learning more and more what was good for me. But that didn't bother me, I was healthy and my numb left leg, especially the clave from my damaged nervous system, was controllable slightly again. In September, i got back to school to get my approved that I can go to college. I needed a Fachhochschulreife (smth. like a GED). I switched the gym and got into the best time I had till this date. An old warehouse gym with no extra fancy stuff. Just bare metal. I was training in a 5-split meanwhile. AND MAN WAS THAT A AWESOME 2021/2022 (till now) I did grow from 98kg to 120kg on 200cm (a little bit fat but with a lot of strength for my time working out and I got wide) I have a supportive girlfriend and I did pass my school with a B grade so I can go to college. My end goal is working for Audi as an engineer in the motorsport department. I had a dream since 2019 and I am going to get close to it every day. I will never be weak again. I have seen what willpower can do. I can do it. AND IF I CAN DO IT YOU CAN DO IT TO! Thank you to Zyzz, the Zyzz community, the bodybuilding community and every free knowledge i could get. I never thought in my dreams that i could be this muscular and powerful. Every Audiobook and Seminar on UA-cam of Tom Platz, every funny Video of Markus Ruhl, Every Beat i did listen on my 90 minutes journey to school and 90mins back . Every Failure i did in training and how i learned from it. THANK YOU FOR A SECOND CHANCE!
