Blackbeard and aces fight was the most epic foreshadowing if you think about it. Because ace isn’t actually the sun, he is fire, and that’s why he lost. We later find out luffy is in fact that sun god setting him up to be the one to defeat Blackbeard

As corrupted as the system is, I feel bad for the marines that actually does good things. The main characters are pirates but most pirates aren't as good as them.

Nami for example stole stuff from normal people, Zoro was a cutthroat Bounty Hunter, Robin has lots of innocent blood on her hands etc. If you exclude the SH Crew and a few others, 99% of Pirates are through and through Criminals, so I completely support most of Akainus outlook on Piracy.

I honestly feel like Aramaki is doing something that Sakazuki would absolutely be livid about, especially given the current state of the world and how thinly stretched the Marines are dealing with the World suddenly going to shit. There might be a confrontation between the two later on and it could end up with Aramaki getting his worldview rocked.
Especially considering how likely he is to fail... if he was going after someone less important (and less OP) he could probably manage to get / kill the person and get away safely..... But Luffy? not impossible but I severely doubt he can achieve that. Unless Kidd and Law somehow backstab Luffy.
Honestly, Aramaki is a strong dude, and probablly verry close to thrd like Kaido. But he is alone, I doubt he can achive his goals. I guess the samurais will fight admirable, but will probably lose. But if Luffy, Law and Kid team up now. I don't see Aramiki winning against that at the moment. And frankly I wonder what would happen then, because either he gets beat in some way, or he fleas for some other reason. during the chapter I wondered if we would see Shanks show up during the fight, but it seems he is sailing away, maybe to Laughtale, who knows. (What was the point for him coming to Wano if he just vanishes again?)
And I seriously, seriously doubt that Akainu would kill thousands of innocent people just to get a Pirate arrested. People are very biased because he did things that affected Luffy and Robin. But if you think about it, he had every right to kill Ace, as he was still a wanted criminal and a pirate that would rob innocent people. And you can argue that the world is for the better that Ohara was sacrificed. It was too soon for the World to know the Truth. There was no alternative Goverment ready to take the rains as it is today with Dragon. What would likely happen is a World of Anarchy where Pirates would rule. I would still take the WG and CD as the Rulers then Blackbeard or even worse Pirates any time of the day.

I actually think that by the end of One Piece, Aramaki will be more of an antagonist than Sakazuki. If you think about it, Sakazuki is starting to want to change how the world works as well as he faces the Five Elders. If Sakazuki finds out about Im-sama, I believes he would actually almost switch sides. Not team up with pirates, but be against the world government
I feel like the series has kinda just made it so that he’ll have to be one of the final antagonist’s ace getting killed right in front of Luffy after he tried so hard to save him was such a large moment that it’s gonna have to be resolved with Luffy Defeating Akainu.

Greenbull is right in some ways. Prejudice DOES breed stability. Prejudice produces cultural norms and standards. But, like most villains, he takes these ideologies too far. There is, in fact, some insight and truth to what he is saying. That much is fact.
I get the hate that Akainu gets, but man I love it when a villain sticks to his guns. I hope Oda makes him go out in a ball of fire rather than the sword good guy theory.

Akainu is not really a Villain tho. He would not murder innocent people out of the blue like for example Green Bull would do. What has he really done that was that villainous if you think about it? Killed the Son of the worlds greatest criminal at the time, which was also a great criminal himself and was being executed either way, was going to execute a lower ranking member of the Military for deserting in times of War and made a hard decision in Ohara, that prevented the collapse of the current system and a world of Anarchy. Remember the Revolutionaries were not present at that time, likely the Pirates would take over the World. He is of course Morally in the wrong, but that does not make him a Villain or Evil. Green Bull on the other hand seems Corrupt to the core and Evil through and through.

When Ohara was being blown up, Akainu ordered the destruction of an evacuating civilian fleet simply because of the chance that scholars might have potentially be hiding there. Akainu nearly killed a young Marine (Coby) simply because Coby wanted to stop a war that they had already won. And Akainu heavily penalized Fujitora simply because he went against Doflamingo's tyranny. Akainu is a villain

Green bull views life in a narrow minded way and views life in a trivial way. He said he could kill people with no consequence because they aren't aligned to the government and views the hierarchy as a good thing despite having a nature power. Plants are known to find ways to grow despite even human interference and the earth itself interfering. Plants are also looked at as a part of the cycle of life and look at as a symbol of life in general yet he doesn't reflect that at all.
Tldr: he views the world in very narrow way and thinks the hierarchy is the way to go despite having the power of plants. Plants adapt to situations and come up with things help the generation after and goes against a hierarchy because eventually even the mightiest of the food chain rots and creates plants.
Green bull is hard to explain but a simple version is that green bull can create life and create change but he thinks a rigid and narrow path is the way life should be.
In my opinion what triggered Shanks decision to go after the one piece was less the fall of Kaido and Big Mom and more so seeing Luffy's awakened form on his bounty poster. I think he knows that whatever is supposed to happen at Laugh Tale needs this Joyboy/Sun God and is the reason Roger and his crew were too early so seeing that Luffy has awakened signals to him its finally time to make a move.
hey tekking here's a theory, what if cobra planned his death? Maybe when he ran into Sabo during the chaos at Reverie, he realized that he did not have much time left so he had Sabo kill him because he knew it would spark a world revolution. That maybe also explains where Vivi went as he could've told Sabo to take Vivi with him to keep her safe (Possibly from Im, mayhaps?).
I think its possible, but I also think its possible that a celestial dragon killed Cobra and they put the blame on Sabo. They'd do that for a handful of reasons, but the two biggest being: 1) Someone's gotta pay for the murder of a king, but it sure as hell won't be a 'god' 2) Cobra was beloved by many, having Sabo kill him may sour peoples opinions of the Revolutionary Army.
Maybe Cobra planned this with Sabo to fake his death? Sabo could burn someone to the point he could only be identified with his dental records... and there is no such thing as dental records in One Piece.

38:39 here in Brazil we have the theory that Roger told Shanks about Hito Hugo: M. Nika and that he was supposed to give it to Ace, as a last request from Roger, but then Luffy ended up eating the fruit, but seeing that Luffy had similar ideals to Roger and that Luffy had a great chance of becoming a great pirate he left the fruit with him (instead of killing Luffy and taking and giving the fruit to ace, even though I think Shanks wouldn't kill Luffy for that)

The panel where Shanks talked to Luffy, he raised the straw hat next to the sun. The Straw Hat symbolize the sun. The middle circle is the sun, and the outer circle is the light. What if at this point Shanks actually told Luffy the meaning of the straw hat, Luffy just never been bothered to mentioned it.
If Akainu was there when Sabo and his squad wass he would have destroyed half of Mariejois and probably been happy to have an excuse to do it, I've always got the feeling that he also hates the Celestial Dragons, probably for different reasons than the revolutionaries, but I definitely don't think he's nearly as brainwashed as Aramaki sounds like he is.

Those with weak haki could go below deck, I don't know if that means you will be save below deck or go to bed in case you pass out below deck 😁. But how else to build up resistance agains it then trail by fire 😋. It will indeed suck maybe the first few months when we're not used to Conquerers haki yet and we find ourselfs passed out on the deck when Shanks has an outburst to an admiral 😋.

He is actually way more extreme and devious then Akainu is. Akainu had very good reasons for the bad deeds he has done. Killing 1000 of innocent people just to capture one pirate is just extreme and has nothing to do with justice. He probably does not understand Akainu at all. I think Akainu actually despises the CD and the upper echelon of the WG also, and he is likely a member of Sword. While Green Bull is an utter WG and CD fanboy. Remember what Aizen said; "Admiration is the farthest thing from understanding".
Imagine if we had not met/explored Buggy's chatacter yet by this point. All we'd see in the new Yonko spread would be shanks, teach, luffy and a terrifying, seemingly psychotic clown inspired pirate. Complete nightmare fuel. Our very own clown Prince of crime in the new world.
Hoping we get more on Buggy. I got a theory on him where he’s involved with God Valley. My reasons are based on Roger and Rayleigh claiming that Momo on the crew reminded them of the early days which makes me think that Shanks and Buggy were on the crew when they were very young. At the time of God Valley, they’d be around 2 or so. I’m thinking Shanks was a former Celestial and Buggy was his Slave/Jester (why Buggy has the Clown bit engrained into him) and Shanks went onto Rogers Ship with Buggy and they stayed since. Imagine if that’s part of why Buggy is a Yonko? Shanks mentions to the Gorusei that Buggy was on God Valley and they took it the wrong way.

If it really was 67 this could mean a lot of things. Volume 67 was on Punk Hazard and was a lot about the Giant kids there. Of course it could also have something with chapter 67. Sanji joins the crew and tells Luffy about the All Blue. Furthermore and most important of all: it was the last appearance of Gin. In other words: Gin is coming back 100% confirmed y'all!

To be honest I don’t think aramaki would go all out in the holy land based on his mindset, maybe spread his forest enough to contain Sabo’s flames (sabo and the revolutionaries wouldn’t care about wide scale destruction unless it impedes then) Also I feel arimaki by far is far more dangerous then any other admiral we’ve been shown is as a villain, not by power, but just his mindset, he will do things even the other admirals wouldn’t just hop straight too doing. Lastly when I saw the panel with yassop talking I was like “I called it! He is a more confidant version of usopp”
I think fugitora having a paramecia type fruit represents how he is not like the other admiral, all of the other admirals are pretty much under the control of the celestial dragons but fugitora would always do what he thought is right no matter what, so to show he is different they gave him a different type of fruit but do u think Rayleigh new what the fruit really was cuz he did say he knew all yhe secrets of the world

I know this doesn’t relate to the chapter at all, but I think I’ve got a theory that would explain why Zoro’s eye is closed. So we’ve all heard about how blind people have great hearing, or how deaf people have excellent eyesight, etc. What if Mihawk realized that Zoro had no/little natural talent for observation haki, and that he had simply relied on his animal like instincts to survive this long. This could be explained by his notorious ability to always get lost, even when directions were explained to him moments ago. I believe that maybe a sacrifice was needed for Zoro to reach the next level. We saw that luffy was blindfolded for his observation training, which allowed him to develop his senses to the point to where he didn’t need it anymore. It’s possible that Zoro could never reach this point, which resulted in Mihawk giving him permanent training wheels. I believe that Fujitora could be some sort of foreshadowing for this, as his blindness seemed to enhance his other senses, which would explain why his observation is so finely tuned. This is obviously a more grounded theory than some others you’d see online, so I’d like to know what y’all think. Btw great review tekking, shanks hype

The prediction and theory I liked is a guy recently pointed out that Bonney was also in the Reverie and there's a possibility SHE took Vivi in which would draw a line to her in the main story. The rest of the Worst Generation was already used (except for Urouge). Bege, Law, Kid, Hawkins, Drake, Apoo, Killer, all used and seen now. Bonney and Urouge had yet to show their cards.
Regarding the Sabo situation I think this is Oda's way of showing the cons of Revolution and how rebellious motivations can be twisted if charged with the wrong intent. Dragon wants to topple the Celestial Dragons but that doesn't just equate to killing them off but removing from power. Sabo is clearly being used in this moment to rile the people up so the Navy has a more justified reason to wipe them out as Akainu directs at the end in retaliation. No room for sympathy for the savage usurpers taking over countries.

Dragon at most only had the corrupt establishments just drove out and taken in small means by their own citizens, Sabo's "actions" were too intense and are now inspiring the wrong reaction to go all out everwhere probably to even places that don't necessarily require rebellion from their monarchs. And that paints the wrong picture of just driving out the corrupt root.
This chapter was incredible and I’m just not even close to surprised that you completely predicted King Cobra’s death I have NO idea where the story may go from here cuz way too much happened. This definitely feels like the beginning of the end. Our boy Kuma has come home tho 🥲
To be fair, litterally everyone predicted Cobra dying and Sabo likely being framed for it. It would be an actual surprise if Sabo was actually the person to kill Cobra and was not just being framed for it.
I'd like to throw this out there if no one's done so already: Usopp will play a key role in taking down Rykogyu due to the knowledge he gained relating to plants. As a result Usopp will get a 500 million bounty, matching Luffy's old bounty.

I see the inevitable meeting between Shanks and Luffy starting with Shanks drawing his sword immediately and initiating a sky splitting clash with Luffy. He then explains that this is how Emperors great each other. Then fast forward to when Luffy meets Buggy again.... lol. As to Shanks and the fruit, I think he knew about the fruit, and his intention was to track down Roger's Son so that he could be the bringer of the dawn and fullfill Joy Boys promise. He probably knows all about the one piece, but knew from Roger that the time was not right. With the time skip being complete and Nica being awakened, Shanks probably believes that the promised time is now.
The Shanks scene is pretty much the number 1 answer One Piece fans would respond with if asked, "Come up with the most hype thing that could happen in the series"
I think Sabo saved Cobra by “burning” him to a crisp while the other commander swallowed him thru the wall. Vivi prob asked for this since she knows Sabo is Luffys older brother. Also Shanks might have gone to Totto Land to get the poneglyph copy while Big Mom was gone and that’s how he knew Luffy was in Wano.
I feel like Sabo really flexed hard on Aramaki, so now he's trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the world government. I think Shanks is planning to go fight Luffy, not have a reunion with him. That's what he meant with not letting the Bart thing go. I think Shanks is going to go fight Luffy like Roger and Whitebeard did back in the day.

Aramaki wasn’t the one who was injured, it was Fuji. But yeah Aramaki is definitely trying to redeem himself. Even though they were restricted from using their devil fruits so they don’t destroy the holy land, they should’ve still stopped the revolutionaries from escaping.

When I was reading this chapter I was like - it's happening IT'S HAPPENING AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Shank's part made me sooo nostalgic. Them talking about how Luffy has finally become a great pirate made me remenise the start of One Piece. Vivi is one of my favorite characters in the story and with this new info I'm just too excited to see her again. It intrigues me that Sakazuki recently shows dissatisfaction with the Goro Sei and Red Tape he has being Fleet Admiral, while Aramaki wholeheartedly promotes the political systems in place. Reminds me of when Rob Lucci originally showed his hand and my initial guesses on how he viewed the world.

@@franklinnartz1381 Agreed, he is pragmatic enough to understand why it is best to show restraint at times, but I get the feeling that if he had his way he would be like a volcano, utterly destructive to those who oppose him and indiscriminate in who might get in his way. He seems to care first and foremost about punishing criminals. He was willing to kill an entire ship full of people at Ohara just to avoid the very slight chance that one of the people they targeted might have gotten on board. While this new admiral is deluded and thus dangerous in his own way, Akainu is the one I worry about if he is ever pushed into a corner. I have seen people like him turned into cornered animals in fiction before. Typically, they only go out after causing as much destruction, death, and mayhem as possible.
@@jamesvach6698 I recall hearing of a situation as well, a character who gradually became drunk over time on his power and his sense of justice. As more and more of his evils became evident both to himself and others and he lost his "loyal and trustworthy" minions only to have them replaced by murderers, lost souls, and monsters he grows more and more unhinged. Eventually he destroyed his entire capital and when the last person following him fell, he went on a power-mad rampage eager to hold onto what was left of his power. Such a terrible fate that he ultimately brought upon himself. Akainu if he is the last one standing may well try to burn everything down in an effort to ensure his "justice". He reminds me of Rob Lucci, one who would pursue his justice even if he was the last man standing.
I have a weird feeling that Shanks is the one who will stop Greenbull from killing someone (maybe Momo?) just like he stopped Akainu from killing Koby at the Marineford.

I feel like Limejuice might be Kid’s father. The way he starts talking about him right after Yasopp mentions reunion with Usopp and the way he phrases it makes me feel like they’re connected somehow. Shanks statement about the one piece makes me wonder if Luffys dream really is to be the pirate king or if it’s something totally different. Kizaru seems to work with him for the most part and Arumaki clearly idolizes him. Fujitora seems to be the only one I like out of the ones currently there.

The people of fishman island were perfectly happy with the idea of killing one of them if it could be passed off as an accident. If Otohime hadn't interfered, that celestial dragon would have died. In the long run it seems to have worked out for the best however in that case. Otherwise, one would need to be willing to risk fighting an admiral and as we have seen in the past and in this chapter, that is no easy task. They are some of the strongest individuals in the world for a reason after all.

I honestly feel like Aramaki is doing something that Sakazuki would absolutely be livid about, especially given the current state of the world and how thinly stretched the Marines are dealing with the World suddenly going to shit. There might be a confrontation between the two later on and it could end up with Aramaki getting his worldview rocked.
Especially considering how likely he is to fail... if he was going after someone less important (and less OP) he could probably manage to get / kill the person and get away safely.....

And I seriously, seriously doubt that Akainu would kill thousands of innocent people just to get a Pirate arrested. People are very biased because he did things that affected Luffy and Robin. But if you think about it, he had every right to kill Ace, as he was still a wanted criminal and a pirate that would rob innocent people. And you can argue that the world is for the better that Ohara was sacrificed. It was too soon for the World to know the Truth. There was no alternative Goverment ready to take the rains as it is today with Dragon. What would likely happen is a World of Anarchy where Pirates would rule. I would still take the WG and CD as the Rulers then Blackbeard or even worse Pirates any time of the day.

I actually think that by the end of One Piece, Aramaki will be more of an antagonist than Sakazuki. If you think about it, Sakazuki is starting to want to change how the world works as well as he faces the Five Elders. If Sakazuki finds out about Im-sama, I believes he would actually almost switch sides. Not team up with pirates, but be against the world government
I feel like the series has kinda just made it so that he’ll have to be one of the final antagonist’s ace getting killed right in front of Luffy after he tried so hard to save him was such a large moment that it’s gonna have to be resolved with Luffy Defeating Akainu.

Akainu is not really a Villain tho. He would not murder innocent people out of the blue like for example Green Bull would do. What has he really done that was that villainous if you think about it? Killed the Son of the worlds greatest criminal at the time, which was also a great criminal himself and was being executed either way, was going to execute a lower ranking member of the Military for deserting in times of War and made a hard decision in Ohara, that prevented the collapse of the current system and a world of Anarchy. Remember the Revolutionaries were not present at that time, likely the Pirates would take over the World. He is of course Morally in the wrong, but that does not make him a Villain or Evil. Green Bull on the other hand seems Corrupt to the core and Evil through and through.

Green bull views life in a narrow minded way and views life in a trivial way. He said he could kill people with no consequence because they aren't aligned to the government and views the hierarchy as a good thing despite having a nature power. Plants are known to find ways to grow despite even human interference and the earth itself interfering. Plants are also looked at as a part of the cycle of life and look at as a symbol of life in general yet he doesn't reflect that at all.
Tldr: he views the world in very narrow way and thinks the hierarchy is the way to go despite having the power of plants. Plants adapt to situations and come up with things help the generation after and goes against a hierarchy because eventually even the mightiest of the food chain rots and creates plants.
Green bull is hard to explain but a simple version is that green bull can create life and create change but he thinks a rigid and narrow path is the way life should be.

In my opinion what triggered Shanks decision to go after the one piece was less the fall of Kaido and Big Mom and more so seeing Luffy's awakened form on his bounty poster. I think he knows that whatever is supposed to happen at Laugh Tale needs this Joyboy/Sun God and is the reason Roger and his crew were too early so seeing that Luffy has awakened signals to him its finally time to make a move.

Maybe when he ran into Sabo during the chaos at Reverie, he realized that he did not have much time left so he had Sabo kill him because he knew it would spark a world revolution. That maybe also explains where Vivi went as he could've told Sabo to take Vivi with him to keep her safe (Possibly from Im, mayhaps?).
I think its possible, but I also think its possible that a celestial dragon killed Cobra and they put the blame on Sabo. They'd do that for a handful of reasons, but the two biggest being:
1) Someone's gotta pay for the murder of a king, but it sure as hell won't be a 'god'
2) Cobra was beloved by many, having Sabo kill him may sour peoples opinions of the Revolutionary Army.
Maybe Cobra planned this with Sabo to fake his death?
Sabo could burn someone to the point he could only be identified with his dental records... and there is no such thing as dental records in One Piece.

Nika and that he was supposed to give it to Ace, as a last request from Roger, but then Luffy ended up eating the fruit, but seeing that Luffy had similar ideals to Roger and that Luffy had a great chance of becoming a great pirate he left the fruit with him (instead of killing Luffy and taking and giving the fruit to ace, even though I think Shanks wouldn't kill Luffy for that)

Those with weak haki could go below deck, I don't know if that means you will be save below deck or go to bed in case you pass out below deck 😁. He is actually way more extreme and devious then Akainu is. Akainu had very good reasons for the bad deeds he has done. Killing 1000 of innocent people just to capture one pirate is just extreme and has nothing to do with justice. He probably does not understand Akainu at all. I think Akainu actually despises the CD and the upper echelon of the WG also, and he is likely a member of Sword. While Green Bull is an utter WG and CD fanboy. Remember what Aizen said; "Admiration is the farthest thing from understanding".

I got a theory on him where he’s involved with God Valley. My reasons are based on Roger and Rayleigh claiming that Momo on the crew reminded them of the early days which makes me think that Shanks and Buggy were on the crew when they were very young. At the time of God Valley, they’d be around 2 or so. To be honest I don’t think aramaki would go all out in the holy land based on his mindset, maybe spread his forest enough to contain Sabo’s flames (sabo and the revolutionaries wouldn’t care about wide scale destruction unless it impedes then)
Also I feel arimaki by far is far more dangerous then any other admiral we’ve been shown is as a villain, not by power, but just his mindset, he will do things even the other admirals wouldn’t just hop straight too doing.

I think fugitora having a paramecia type fruit represents how he is not like the other admiral, all of the other admirals are pretty much under the control of the celestial dragons but fugitora would always do what he thought is right no matter what, so to show he is different they gave him a different type of fruit

I know this doesn’t relate to the chapter at all, but I think I’ve got a theory that would explain why Zoro’s eye is closed. So we’ve all heard about how blind people have great hearing, or how deaf people have excellent eyesight, etc. What if Mihawk realized that Zoro had no/little natural talent for observation haki, and that he had simply relied on his animal like instincts to survive this long. This could be explained by his notorious ability to always get lost, even when directions were explained to him moments ago. I believe that maybe a sacrifice was needed for Zoro to reach the next level. We saw that luffy was blindfolded for his observation training, which allowed him to develop his senses to the point to where he didn’t need it anymore. It’s possible that Zoro could never reach this point, which resulted in Mihawk giving him permanent training wheels. I believe that Fujitora could be some sort of foreshadowing for this, as his blindness seemed to enhance his other senses, which would explain why his observation is so finely tuned.
This is obviously a more grounded theory than some others you’d see online, so I’d like to know what y’all think.

The prediction and theory I liked is a guy recently pointed out that Bonney was also in the Reverie and there's a possibility SHE took Vivi in which would draw a line to her in the main story. The rest of the Worst Generation was already used (except for Urouge). Bege, Law, Kid, Hawkins, Drake, Apoo, Killer, all used and seen now. Bonney and Urouge had yet to show their cards.
Regarding the Sabo situation I think this is Oda's way of showing the cons of Revolution and how rebellious motivations can be twisted if charged with the wrong intent. Dragon wants to topple the Celestial Dragons but that doesn't just equate to killing them off but removing from power. Sabo is clearly being used in this moment to rile the people up so the Navy has a more justified reason to wipe them out as Akainu directs at the end in retaliation. No room for sympathy for the savage usurpers taking over countries.

Dragon at most only had the corrupt establishments just drove out and taken in small means by their own citizens, Sabo's "actions" were too intense and are now inspiring the wrong reaction to go all out everwhere probably to even places that don't necessarily require rebellion from their monarchs. And that paints the wrong picture of just driving out the corrupt root.

I see the inevitable meeting between Shanks and Luffy starting with Shanks drawing his sword immediately and initiating a sky splitting clash with Luffy. He then explains that this is how Emperors great each other. Then fast forward to when Luffy meets Buggy again.... lol.
As to Shanks and the fruit, I think he knew about the fruit, and his intention was to track down Roger's Son so that he could be the bringer of the dawn and fullfill Joy Boys promise. He probably knows all about the one piece, but knew from Roger that the time was not right. With the time skip being complete and Nica being awakened, Shanks probably believes that the promised time is now.

I think Sabo saved Cobra by “burning” him to a crisp while the other commander swallowed him thru the wall. Vivi prob asked for this since she knows Sabo is Luffys older brother. Also Shanks might have gone to Totto Land to get the poneglyph copy while Big Mom was gone and that’s how he knew Luffy was in Wano.
Or the Gorosei killed him and blamed it on Sabo, who then had to grab Vivi and run.

It intrigues me that Sakazuki recently shows dissatisfaction with the Goro Sei and Red Tape he has being Fleet Admiral, while Aramaki wholeheartedly promotes the political systems in place. Reminds me of when Rob Lucci originally showed his hand and my initial guesses on how he viewed the world.
Remember what Aizen said in the SS Arc; "Admiration is the furthest thing from understanding". While GB admires Akainu, he does not understand him what he actually strives for. I seriously doubt Akainu would kill 1000 of innocent people just to capture a single pirate + he obviously does not like the upper echelons of the WG, while GB simps for them hard.

He was willing to kill an entire ship full of people at Ohara just to avoid the very slight chance that one of the people they targeted might have gotten on board. While this new admiral is deluded and thus dangerous in his own way, Akainu is the one I worry about if he is ever pushed into a corner. I have seen people like him turned into cornered animals in fiction before. Typically, they only go out after causing as much destruction, death, and mayhem as possible.

As more and more of his evils became evident both to himself and others and he lost his "loyal and trustworthy" minions only to have them replaced by murderers, lost souls, and monsters he grows more and more unhinged. Eventually he destroyed his entire capital and when the last person following him fell, he went on a power-mad rampage eager to hold onto what was left of his power. Such a terrible fate that he ultimately brought upon himself. Akainu if he is the last one standing may well try to burn everything down in an effort to ensure his "justice". He reminds me of Rob Lucci, one who would pursue his justice even if he was the last man standing.
I think that Shanks does know where the one piece is and he's been waiting for the right time and sequence of events.

Shanks statement about the one piece makes me wonder if Luffys dream really is to be the pirate king or if it’s something totally different. By the time we get to the end, Shanks may be the actual pirate king but Luffy is still the most free person in the world and insures that no one is locked up or that every gets to eat to their fill

Kizaru seems to work with him for the most part and Arumaki clearly idolizes him. Fujitora seems to be the only one I like out of the ones currently there.

The people of fishman island were perfectly happy with the idea of killing one of them if it could be passed off as an accident. If Otohime hadn't interfered, that celestial dragon would have died. In the long run it seems to have worked out for the best however in that case. Otherwise, one would need to be willing to risk fighting an admiral and as we have seen in the past and in this chapter, that is no easy task. They are some of the strongest individuals in the world for a reason after all.
the shock of this chapter had me shaking and almost crying. the emotional impact of shank's words and Sabo's return into the story is insane. Oda is a genius. I haven't watched the video yet, but I expect at least 10 minutes of uncontrollable screaming
