I’ve taken a stock Suzuki Samurai and a Subaru Forester down that jeep trail ... yes, tight turns. I’ll definitely do it on my bike next, thanks for reminding me of that!
BTW, it’s really better to go down the other way, there’s unpaved dirt, a stream with actual running water most of the year and a less steep, longer descent with less traffic
Great route! I have climbed Fig Mtn from Los Olivos several times but never done the dirt section. I will do your route next time, and use my gravel bike. BTW, I have ridden the Oat Mtn climb twice, thanks to your video, and love it :)
If someone gets a flat then it's custom for the other group riders to ride circles around the rider working on the flat and trash talking... It helps to increase peer pressure and improve performance... Your welcome!!!

Interesting. When is it open for Off Roading?

@@GravelBikeCalifornia This was 15+ years ago, I doubt they'll ever open it again. Things you also see a lot of on that road: black bears!
Today I learned that trepidatious is a real word. So thanks for that and the video!
Always rewrite the norms!
I always wanted to take Figueroa Mountain every time we go to Lake Cachuma but I ended up going to Lompoc taking Highway 246. Maybe next time.
Make it more than a maybe....
Another awesome adventure
Feel very blessed for so many great rides in California!
Pretty sweet ride, pretty sweet Speedvagen and the pump is very pretty. Thanks!
Yes, #BillsPump is trending.
I originally got that for the esthetic and nostalgia of having a frame pump. I actually use it quite a bit
Alright I'm ready for the full hour special!! I can watch this over and over, cool vid my man. You had me in suspense all week💯👍
This is a great one. Next: the GBC stock footage festival!
@@GravelBikeCalifornia Nice, thanks 😊
Great ride Zack and a fantastic job on the video. Always impressed with your editing skills
I think whoever put this together needed to put the orange guy in more.
Great timing on this upload! I'm headed to the Santa Ynez valley this weekend so I'm tempted to shift my ride plans there and do this instead...
It's because we've been stalking you...I mean...nevermind...

So far, I'm glad my recs have been mostly thumbs up!
Your voice reminds me of Huell Howser's
Oh my!

How much time should one allocate for this loop? I have a wedding at 3p in solvang Saturday. This would be a fun ride before it!
We did it in four hours of rolling time, but five including stops (and fixing a flat). There's also no water along the way...
@@GravelBikeCalifornia radical … thanks!
Mt. Blady lol
Wha' Happened ??? 😜😜😆😆😆
I missed that...
