I am struggling with depression and self isolation has made it much worse. My partner died in January and the loneliness reduces me to tears . I’m scared of my feelings and just struggling to find some sort of joy in each day to help me get to the next day. Sending love to everyone xx 😘
Loss and grief are incredibly challenging, especially at this time. I send you comfort and sweetness and strength. I hope that you are treating yourself with a lot of kindness and compassion.
Debbie Sanderson , you’ve got this. One foot in front the other, finding something good about each day is all you need to do right now, it’s a very challenging time but you will come out the other side stronger 💕
Loneliness is so hard. If i were you, i would get a pet, start a new hobby, and/or try finding friends online (livestreams are fun for that). Im stuck living with my ex bf and he cycles thru ignoring me, lying, being negative and disrespectful, making me angry or suddenly wanting sex. Yeah its like living with an adult toddler and so maddening. I've learned to tune him out, do my own thing, and just be grateful for the affection and cuddles i get from our dogs. When we cant escape our situation, we just gotta make the best of it. Stay strong! Big hug to you.🤗💛🌹💪
I know. This time is hard for so many of us. My heart hurts for your loss. Sending hugs and love back at you. One day at a time, one week at a time. You are loved.
I just want to say that Peter is SUCH an amazing and supportive guy. I love how he always is excited about the things that Mary makes. He's a fantastic husband. ❤️
I work in a hospital, and I’ve been taking my “Do What You Think You Can’t Do” tote to work with me this past week. It makes me smile and definitely gives me Courage for what the day holds. I’m so blessed to be a healthcare worker. Thank you both!
Ms. Mary and Rev Peter, love you two. Thanks for "Cooking with Mary". I'm also so grateful for the things i have in my pantry. I made homemade Irish Soda Bread this morning. ♡ u from Kansas.
Mary I just want to say how happy I am that you are getting better each day. I work at a hospital and see the statistics everyday and believe it or not your videos are my little piece of heaven after a long work day and they have been giving me hope that all will be right with the world again. Thank you to you and Peter for keeping it real and for always staying so positive! 🥰😷😷😷
I’m glad you guys are doing just fine.. I’m not really the religious type due to family members being abusive about it.. but do you mind praying for my sister? She has the virus and isn’t doing too well on top of the fact of being 13 weeks pregnant. Thank you guys for all you do and how you stay optimistic about everything~ ♥️
I love these cooking with Mary Segments! I think a lot of us are cooking right now with a way to cope with being at home. If only my crew would eat all the soups like y’all do.
Good Shabbes Guys! We little round folk here in north London are holding you in our hearts and asking G-d to keep you both (and your families) safe. Tonight and into tomorrow is the Great Sabbath, just before #Passover starting on Wednesday evening, so I pray that the good L-rd watches over all of us during this very special day xxxxxxxxxx
I am really loving all of the cooking that you have been doing, Mary!! I have only ever made soup a couple of times BUT you are giving me the motivation to start doing more. Such a variety of colour in your soup......very pleasing to the eye! And then there is Harry’s little head poking out from Peter’s shirt.......priceless & adorable! God bless and keep you all safe! 🤗❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼😘🐕🐱
Oh..you will LOVE the addition of Worcestershire sauce !! I use it in all my soups and stews ! Enjoy.....Mary...it seems you are on the upswing...I sure hope so...been praying for you lots !!!
We had soup today also, it’s always a good day for soup! Helpful bread making tip........keep a heating pad ( designated for only kitchen use), put your bread on it to rise, it has never failed me! My bread always doubles in size. (I know your yeast wasn’t working, but I wanted to give you that tip anyway for future use)
Completely understanding the heavy hearted feeling today. Woke up to day 14 of isolation for me (day 10 nationwide lockdown in NZ plus an extra 4 because of asthma induced chest infection from an unrelated virus). Feeling very isolated today, but going to keep going, shower and make soup for lunch. Anxiety is such an everyday reality for everyone at the moment, and working as an essential worker with anxiety at the moment is incredibly overwhelming. The honest two things that have been getting me through are you guys and disney music (esp the songs from frozen 2... yes Im 24 and listening to disney music and no, I dont care who thinks its immature). All the love.
I don't know if this will get to you two amazing people or not. But you both make me smile so much. I love watching you two. At a time like this it has made me feel so much better these days. I love how you two are with each other. I have lost my job till at least June we are on furlough right now. And after paying my rent we didn't have much to get food. I know the Lord will provide for us. Just needing some prayers right now. I just wanted to say you guys are amazing and keep doing what you are doing. I am hoping I can get one of your new Hoodies soon and a shirt.

I love watching cooking with Mary, she inspired me to make my own chicken noodle soup today. It was great but I added the noodles in too early and they got all mushy, but it was still yummy.
This time is scary and uncertain but I am trying to think of positives that can come from adversity. Being thankful for food, people cooking who have never really had to. In hard times, people draw closer to God and appreciate their families more. I am being less wasteful and more thankful. Keep cooking, that is how you learn. I am about to get out my sewing machine and start making face masks for family members.
Thanks for sharing. I think we all have heavy hearts. I'm watching alot of videos that make me sick at what evil people have done . Please pray for the people of this country an the world. Frey life family stay well an be safe. Ollie really such a good boy. I'm so glad you have him an Hairy
You two are so sweet! I’m subbing! So stinking cute you two, stay well, be safe. Love that sweet cat, Hairy is absolutely adorable. Be encouraged that God is with you!
I really love Cooking with The Frey Life, is so interesting. I like to see all the different coloured foods together. Look yummy 😋😋😋 I hope your lung pain goes Mary xx 💕 hello to Peter, Ollie & Harry.
I enjoy watching you guys' video's, it's brings faith & joy to me & thank you both so much for all you both do for people & Mary i love watching you cook!! :)The grocery shortage in my area is really bad so yes I also am very thankful for every piece of fresh produce I can get among other items....I love the new patches!!
It looks like a wonderful bowl of quarantine soup. Does anyone else have an other recipes? I have half a red cabbage, chicken broth, an onion, some potatoes, and a can of diced tomatoes.
Hey how do you prepare the yeast for the bread making? Try putting it in some water with some sugar. Yeast needs moisture (water), food (sugar) and warm temperature (room temp) to work. You should know if it is ready, there should be some bubbles on top - approximately 10 - 15 mins!
I love that you demonstrate how simple and fun soup can be. I love watching you make soup, lol! You could make it extra exciting and forage for some dandelion leaves for your next soup :D
We all are Mary... What has been happening lately is unbelievable. Its hard to wrap my mind around it tbh. Also you should do like a limited edition of #StayHome for me or #StayHomeForMe shirts etc!
Mary, are you adding your yeast to the flour and then mixing in the room temperature water? If you are, then cover it with plastic wrap and give it time to rise. Gently “punch” it down and let it rise again. Then you can portion it out to make bread or rolls!! Try it!!! Could be good!!! You’ll get this!!!🍞🍞🍞
It is hard not to feel heavy hearted these days! We are not alone! Mary, please, please, pretty please write a cookbook! You are quite the chef 👩🍳 TIA
Hey I love your vlogs, keeping me entertained during quarantine in England!! Id say with your bread making when you're making a starter yeast I wouldn't put it in the fridge as yeast needs to be at warmer temperatures to mature and grow. If you're using dried or fresh yeast add it to a third of your water with a teaspoon of sugar. Water should be tepid or on the cooler side as hot water kills it. If you use cold water it takes longer to activate but develops a deeper flavour. Oh and don't put any salt near or on your yeast as again it kills it. Hope this helps!! I love the cooking segments and I actually tried one of your soup recipes!! Was yummy!! Love to you guys 🧡🧡
Mary have you ever made cabbage soup? You can make any variations depending on what you like. The way we do it I’d to cut up a couple heads, beef stock, some beef cut up,crushed tomatoes and some tomato sauce onions corn string beans carrots and basically what ever you want to try. It’s one of those soups once the cabbage is falling apart you leave it on low and you just keep getting some throughout the day and even the next day..
I was excited to find frozen crinkle round carrots in the frozen foods section the other day lol. Harry puts my husband's cat Monkey to shame with cuddles lol
Hey guys. I just ordered the silver necklace. I could really use some joy right now. Thank you!❤ Just saw your bread issue. I just made a very doughy loaf of bread, too. I'll just try again!
I've felt heavy of heart as I can't get to my equine therapy. I have never been this long with out seeing a horse ever even with a broken pelvis and damaged discs in my back i was there on the farm within a week or so. It's been over a month. I'm in isolation... the sourdough starter takes weeks to brew.. u need to make the flour and water mixture and ignore it for a few weeks but keep feeding it every day or so half it weight in flour and water to add to yur starter
I had a day Last week where I found myself feeling down! It didn’t last long! Another day I woke up with heart pounding! My daughter said I probably was dreaming. And then Friday we took my husband to ER because of a fungal infection which has plagued him since at least Dec 12...when they dx at least.
Cabbage in soup is a must have for me! We literally have a bowl pf cooked cabbage in the fridge at all times because I always throw in a handful when I heat up my soup. 💕 It’s pretty much the only thing that I have eaten since being quarantined. Thank the Lord for lentils! Hang in there Love, I really hope that this break gives the World the break they need to connect with Jesus. PS, I have GOT to get on the silver necklace train!!!
have you tried making your own veggie stock with the vegetable scraps? you can save the scraps in the freezer until you have enough for a stock. Also for starter are you making sure the yeast is alive first? by adding the yeast to warm (not hot) sugar water and wait 10 minutes?
The soup looks amazing! Have you tried chaffles?? They are super easy and require very few ingredients. The wonder bread chaffle recipe is super popular and low carb.
Dear Mary and Peter! You can get a sweatshirt that has a biiig pocket on the chest specifically for cats who like to snuggle on your chest or inside your shirt! It would be perfect for Harry! You can just walk around with him safely snuggled in the pocket, so it would help with what peter said a few videos ago about Harry parylizing you on the sofa haha. Imagine he's snuggled on your chest but you can just stand up and do whatever using both your hands but without having to move him!
I do love the cooking you do. Your stove is awesome, too. Did you know yellow onion skins can be boiled in water and vinegar to make yellow dye for Easter eggs? I haven't tried it, but it sounded like a fun idea.
If you’re feeling heavy hearted, you’re not alone ❤️
Do you have the dough recipe?
I do get waves of WTHECK and then God immediately calms me down
You did it again Mary soup looked good hey Peter, Ollie and Harry love and prayers always
I just found a pizza dough recipe.

Keep on pressing on friend, one day at a time! We're so glad you're a part of our Frey Life family Jennifer :)
I had a day Last week where I found myself feeling down! It didn’t last long! Another day I woke up with heart pounding! My daughter said I probably was dreaming. And then Friday we took my husband to ER because of a fungal infection which has plagued him since at least Dec 12...when they dx at least.
It looks like a good soup .You can always do tomatoe juice if you don't do chicken broth. I've been eatting turkey soup for two days now . Loving it .
