I'm really sad na magsasara na sila.
Yung mga time na depressed ako at sawa na ko sa mga walang kwentang entertainment shows ng ibang local networks, sa CNN Philippines lang ako lagi nanonood.
I learned a lot from CNN shows & programs.
Magaganda naman yung pinapalabas ng CNN Philippines,
lalo na yung mga documentaries, discussions about health o di kaya mga issues sa politics.
Unlike sa ibang channel na puro walang kabuluhan lang mga palabas, puro kadramahan at negativity, lalong nagpapa depressed.
CNN are a non-truth news outlet IE "FAKE NEWS".
Nakakalungkot naman na hindi na kaayo maka operate.sana makabalik kaayo soon.
nasa internet na kasi, halos lahat mapapanood sa YT, FB, at sa iba pang social media flatform
Pero may Ads pa rin sa YT Basic at BAWAL ANG SKIP NA ADS!

Ang mahal kasi ng franchise fee ng CNN International. Kung ako sa inyo, just make your own news channel that is unbiased, balanced, impartial and pro-Philippines with no woke nonsense. People will just naturally trust and go to you.

closure of CNN Phil. This is the only network here that shows no frills programs. Walang maraming palabok ang mga palabas unlike the other local networks na punong puno ng ka ek ekan. Sayang at di umobra sa panlasa ng karamihang Pinoys .

I am an American retired in Cebu. I remember when CNN first began in the 1980's in America. Back then, their coverage of the news was very good. CNN covered news from all around the globe and the coverage was very good because they used local reporters to cover stories outside America. No other network had this type of coverage of global stories, and the reporting seemed mostly unbiased. There was no internet back then, so CNN was one of the few global news sources available on television. After Ted Turner sold CNN, the news coverage gradually became extremely left-wing biased and then they were even found to be creating fake news. After the internet became popular, people had more global news sources, and CNN became much less relevant. Most non leftists in America do not watch CNN or take it's coverage seriously now, and it is referred to as fake news, and their viewer numbers are much lower. I was surprised to see CNN on broadcast TV when I retired here a year ago. I will say that the CNN in the Philippines was less biased than in America, but it still seemed very leftist in some of the coverage that I have seen. I think that the only way to find the real truth now is to get the news from multiple sources from both left and right leaning news sources. Somewhere between left and right there is the real truth in the middle. I monitor many news sources around the world on twitter and youtube to try to get a more balanced coverage of the news. Almost all news sources seem to have an agenda now. If CNN Philippines can't make a profit then it deserves to go away. I feel badly for the employees of CNN Philippines who made their careers there for nine years and are now jobless through no fault of their own. Some of the smart ones might be able to continue to provide news coverage on youtube or other internet sites. Maybe the loss of CNN Philippines will make room for a better news organization to emerge. That is my perspective as a newly retired foreigner here.

Halos tanang tinubdan sa balita daw adunay agenda karon. Kung dili makaganansya ang CNN Philippines angayan nga mopahawa. Naguol ko sa mga empleyado sa CNN Philippines nga nitrabaho didto sulod sa siyam ka tuig ug karon walay trabaho nga walay sala. Ang pipila sa mga maalamon mahimo nga magpadayon sa paghatag sa coverage sa balita sa youtube o uban pang mga internet site. Tingali ang pagkawala sa CNN Philippines makahatag og luna alang sa mas maayong organisasyon sa balita nga motumaw. Mao kana ang akong panglantaw isip bag-ong retired foreigner dinhi.

Walang internet noon, kaya isa ang CNN sa iilang pandaigdigang mapagkukunan ng balita na available sa telebisyon. Matapos ibenta ni Ted Turner ang CNN, unti-unting naging left-wing bias ang coverage ng balita at pagkatapos ay napag-alamang gumagawa sila ng pekeng balita. Matapos maging popular ang internet, ang mga tao ay nagkaroon ng higit pang pandaigdigang mga mapagkukunan ng balita, at ang CNN ay naging hindi gaanong nauugnay. Masama ang pakiramdam ko para sa mga empleyado ng CNN Philippines na gumawa ng kanilang mga karera doon sa loob ng siyam na taon at ngayon ay walang trabaho nang hindi nila kasalanan. Ang ilan sa mga matalino ay maaaring makapagpatuloy sa pagbibigay ng coverage ng balita sa youtube o iba pang mga internet site. Marahil ang pagkawala ng CNN Philippines ay magbibigay ng puwang para sa isang mas mahusay na organisasyon ng balita na lumitaw. Yan ang pananaw ko bilang bagong retired foreigner dito.

Their mother company in the US are equally having a tough time staying afloat. They even gave up their building in one of the locations with the very visible Iconic “CNN” logo.

True, sa panahon ngayon pansin ko bihira na ang mga tao ngayon na nagbabad sa TV kahit mga bata ngayon mas nakatutok pa sa cellphone lalo na't mas pamura pa ng pamura ngayon ang cellphone. Dati kailangan mo at least 10k para makabili ng mabilis na phone na pede ipanlaro ng mga mabibigat na games pero ngayon 2k+ to 3k halos gaming phone na rin mga bagong labas na models ng phone.

Nope because CNN is private owned not publicly owned..if government helps they have to use the funds of the Philippines (tax payer's money).. Government was mandated to have PTV as main broadcast media..unless constitution will be changed or amended for that "help" you're looking for, to happen..but so much as of now CNN Philippines is indeed privately owned and government can only provide guidelines but unable to take over the said media entity..unless Bongbong Marcos will declares Martial law, to take over the media..such thing the 1987 constitution can be used to go against its own self.. that's why we need to change our constitution in the right way..
