Shout out to Danny for perfecting my tub resurfacing services! This is Jesse from Tulsa hills renovations and tub repair, I've never used topkote yet but Homax is a big no go for me unless I absolutely have to use it. it is durable and looks great but it creates alot of potent overspray and glues to everything and is really hard to get off. My favorite product I've used so far is from Resurface Solutions, the ISO free. It looks great, doesn't create alot of overspray and cleans up like it's just dust on surfaces, I love the stuff
Danny's channel is amazing! I am considering what product to use when spraying, and Resurface Solutions seems like a good product. It appears that there are 3 different products... 1)Pro-thane [contains isocyanates] 2) ISO-free. 3) ISO-Free/Low VOC. Besides the health implications and risks, are you aware of the performance differences between the three products? For example, does the ISO-free work well on both fiberglass and tile? Are there any durability or aesthetic reasons to use one over the other? Is there any use case where it is beneficial to use the product containing isocyanates instead of the ISO-free? Material cost doesn't seem to be a factor since they are relatively close in cost. Thanks you
I'm in OKC using Hawk and I'm tired of it, I can get it to look great but it takes WAY too much work. I'm going to look into these other options for that smoother finish. I'm running an apollo atomizer gun 2.0 needle set with a titan 7.5 turbine.
Wow, new to your channel. Enjoy the value you put out. I'm in iowa I use topkote. I get 450 for apartments for a tub and surround. And for residential I can be 450 just for tub and I have been up towards 900 for tub and tile.
I’m really enjoying your channel and appreciate the professionalism and support you are representing and giving to the resurfacing industry. Informative and very helpful. Thank you for what your doing.
Hawk is 412. They don't have a great adhesion system. They do have a wipe on primer but it's really just for repairs. The primer system flashes fast and forms sort of a fir coat when dried. It has to be sanded before applying the top coat. I switched to topkote and love it. The Crosslink III is awesome. I spray it on. But like you said, it sticks. Plus switching from crosslink to the top coat while spraying is a chore. You have to clean the gun while in the room. Topkote does sell the pps system but I don't like the added overhead of purchasing liners. I do use hawk for colors. Topkote is sort of a no go when it comes to colors. I have used the topkote adhesion promoter with the hawk top coat before and it actually looks better this way. My only concern with topkote is overspray. I spend more in masking materials because the entirety of the room and everything outside the room will get covered in overspray. However, the product is thick and holds up. I learned from George that overspray can be cleaned with Murphy oil soap and 0000 grit steel wool.
It’s crazy watching your videos my company is called Dr. P’s tub resurfacing! Lol we almost twinning with the names! I just used my initials for the DRP. Great videos and advice keep it up!

Great videp Can u please write 4 diffrent company product of each product u use to fix crack on the floor bath? Because there is no shipping to my country to the product u write I give u example i order the Bondo Fiberglass Resin Repair Kit, but they dont ship the bondo glass and bondo putty so what is the alterntive to that please help me Thanks
You have to go at least 200 something for tub only 400 at least tub/surround. I know they are cheap as heck but everything has gon up so u have to go up a little too. They will understand. i also work for alot of apartments, i was scared to raise prices. But when i grew to nuts to raise prices a few customers said im surprised u didn't raise them alot time ago.
This is great. I’m new to refinishing but learning as I go and videos like these help and also reassuring. I was torn between resurface and topkote and actually ordered from RS first but my order never went through and my emails were never answered ( still never got a response ) so I reached out to George at topkote and he helped every step of the way. My first two tubs are this week and I’m using all topkote products from their starter kit.

I'm just starting in this Niche, I appreciate your willingness to help others.
Just wanted to know what size evacuation fan you recommend. Is 12” large enough or CFM more important when choosing a fan.
Have you used Napco products? Also when you say your ratio numbers are you talking resin-reducer-catalyst or resin-catalyst-reducer?
Resin - Catalyst - Reducer

If theres a crack due to sinking/foundation
You can use a drill to make a few holes and the fill it up slowly with expansion foam
Then bond it up
I use resurface solutions also.
I noticed you also use 1-2-3 primers in spray bottles, where can I get it in gallons?
New subscriber. Great info and videos!

I'm in San Antonio Texas we charge 150.00 a tub
Definitely not enough. You could easily charge $200-$300 more
In st.louis missouri we also charge 150 tub, 150 tile
Don't waste your money for hawks laboratories.
Napco is 2-1-1
Sharkgrip coatings is one of the good ones ive used .!! 🫡
