It was fun. The hands are ridiculous, but I'll give a caveat on a couple things. If you go for The Road Warrior, which this figure is (or isn't)... In the promo shots, etc, Max is just holding the shotgun by the handle. Fair enough. The "sleepy eye" (not Minnesota) is from Max either coming back to the oil refinery, or at the end when he's (SPOILER) looking at the dirt pour out of the tanker. He's messed up in both situations. Thanks for this. Knowing where NOT to shop is almost as valuable as knowing GOOD places to shop. Speaking of order problems...how's aliexpress when it comes to returns, etc?
AliExpress is kinda just full of dropshippers. Some people are running legit stores, but most are just buying stock and trying to move it quickly. Now-defunct company U2 Toys actually had the real 'Mad Max' license for awhile, but I wouldn't say they were very good. (Oddly enough, they were also the first toy company to hold the 'Kingdom Hearts' license.) =)
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Excuse me, I meant to say "N2" Toys. XD But even though the figures weren't very high-quality, they DID make nearly every character from 'The Road Warrior'! =)
there are some old mad max figures from road warrior. they're just the basic 5-point articulation figures. and last I checked this figure is cheaper than those. but yeah, someone needs to pick up the mad max license, NECA would be the best choice for a great sculpt at an affordable price but mcfarlane knows how to release vehicles at an affordable price.
What a craphole company. It's almost like they were looking to rage bait you with how they responded at every step. Even as far as admitting it's a bad policy but oh well. Unbelievable.
DAMN. Doin' the lawd's work here! There's so much going wrong with the figure! -The weird tool thing is a tool that should attach to the back of the belt. In fact, I *THINK* it goes into a smaller rectangular pouch to the left of the big one, with the hook part hanging down through it (There's a photo of Max from behind in THE ROAD WARRIOR out in the world to confirm, as well as yearly part of the film) -The wood paint wasn't finished on the shotgun handle. -There should be NO bare hands, as Max ALWAYS has those glove on. -While they TRIED to do the bandana on Dog (yes, that's the dog's name), it is so half-assed. -I have NO IDEA about that axe! If they'd including bolt cutters, that would have worked! -That leather jacket is so atrociously bulky and that zipper overly large. That response by sales/customer service?! SO RUDE... and POINTLESSY RUDE! Burn'em down! And as far as N2 Toys ROAD WARRIOR toys go, they weren't the greatest, but the stuff they showed that never go released was wonderful. INCLUDING a Black-on-Black V8 Interceptor for the figures! It had parts to pull off to make it look bashed up!

My figure of the year is a third party set at customs John wick, they mostly do an amazing job and is improving very quickly… but not all Chinese companies are like this but then again even their bootleggers are going pro 😂 ct toys is amazing my toy company of the year. 😂

It’s wild watching people in the comments defend something like that. I find it useful to know if I ever deal with a seller if they may or may not be a problem.
that's only because you haven't experienced the vibe and community on his page. We take pride in him not taking shit from customers and it's a big thing we have a lot of fun with in the group. It's part of the culture that we all partake in. You'll see his biggest fans calling him the rudest store owner on the planet while thanking him for the great service, prices and promptness. The amount of good experiences we have with Kit outweighs the occasional problem a collector creates for themselves, and everyone defending him recognizes that he's not the problem.
Of course we are going to defend Kit. This "Reviewer" clearly doesn't read the terms and or policy that is written for all to see before making purchases. Then waits 3 weeks before opening it and then BREAKS IT ON VIDEO because he doesn't know how to handle said figures. Then files a complaint regarding it and expects a replacement part after the deadline and goes as far as threatens Kit with a bad review because he didn't get what he wants. Well, Boo hoo.
@@-Xrated my man, it still doesn’t negate that the figure itself is fragile, and that a company that will not do anything to help put beyond 7 days is problematic to some. You’re applying too much personal emotion to something that is strictly business. I’m more inclined to do business with companies that are helpful and accommodating in the case of accidental breakage and things of that nature and showcase a level of professionalism. More than one in these comments have expressed that the seller is rude. That’s a problem. Period.
Cool accessories and clothes but the figure itself looks like crap. I would want it only for the clothes alone and give it to a female figure body just for a tomboy look but I won't spend $90 just for that.
I like the way the character looks for the most part but I mean not being able to move him around without it possibly breaking is a big issue especially for that price. Very sorry to hear about your figure and experience with the seller. I hope in the future we can get a better company to do a better figure of this guy. Road warrior/mad max should be a no brainer when it comes to figures its perfect for a line of figures!
Feel the BURN!!! Go get em', Johnny!! Good for you on calling out companies that display bad behavior. Too many times they do it with those without the platform to inform others to be aware. Maybe one day we'll get good 1/12 Mad Max figures
You mean, Johnny made himself look childish by filing a complaint about a figure he broke ON VIDEO because he doesn't understand how to handle said figure, wants a replacement part even though he clearly can't read the terms / policy before making a purchase that is there for all to see regarding returns / replacements, etc, doesn't get what he wants so he threatens to leave a bad review. Yeah, Shame on Johnny. Kit did nothing wrong.
What a crappy way to “not” encourage your veiwers to talk shit about the atore just because your feelings got hurt where there is a good chance the you broke the part.
I was recently debating buying this figure so the review is very well timed. Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us. Funny that you mention crappy emails from onesixthkit. I emailed them a few days ago about a preorder that closed two days prior, for the 1/12 Yep Studio NO.0009 TaiKo-Toyotomi Hideyoshi figure. I sent a very nice and polite email asking if I could still get in on it. This is what I got in response: "Not possible, its cut off already." I don't mind that they said "no" though I wasn't thrilled with the lack of courtesy but let it go. I found it at Giantoy and found several positive reviews for them on Reddit so I ordered it there. Now that I see how combative and rude onesixthkit is with customers I'm glad I didn't get it there and probably won't ever order from them again. (Btw, the Yep Studio historic samurai figures are really incredible looking, I recommend them.) Edit: onesixthkit tracked me down because of this comment and has been sending me the most unhinged and bizarre emails this morning. That business is absolutely insane. This video clearly got to him.
I mean what did he say that was so rude? He removes items once they are no longer available to him. Yes, I'm sure it's possible to find a item thru another seller / shop but I'm pretty sure Kit is just a one man show doing the best he can and has been at it for years.
@@-Xrated There are basic aspects to written communication that can make it more or less courteous to a customer. Onesixthkit chose to skip all of that so there message came off as terse. Not the end of the world but not very pleasant either. If I, the customer, can manage to do so then he, as the seller, can also manage it.

It’s called a “non-refundable deposit” for a reason big dog.
@@MetaCinemaYTFair enough, but if I can't get the product that I'm trying to buy, why can't I have store credit to buy something else from the store? They won't be losing any money and I get at least something in return. Everybody wins. I've never heard of ANY store rejecting store credit, especially when something that's not even my fault like this happens.
@@MegaManXtoysbecause that’s still money out of pocket that he’s out until the order is cancelled by the manufacturer. He’s an independent businessman, not a big box retailer.
@@bnendza Well then he shouldn't be dealing with sketchy manufacturers who don't deliver and putting their pre-orders up on his website. Just because he's a small business man doesn't give him the right to leave his customers high and dry and just wash his hands of ALL responsibility, then blame it all on the customer. This isn't a drug deal that we're doing here.
Good review. This is a cool figure. Not many Mad Max figs out there.
I wish that were true
Thanks for this. Knowing where NOT to shop is almost as valuable as knowing GOOD places to shop.
Speaking of order problems...how's aliexpress when it comes to returns, etc?
It really depends on the seller
AliExpress is kinda just full of dropshippers. Some people are running legit stores, but most are just buying stock and trying to move it quickly. Just find a good, niche seller and they’ll usually treat you well.
Btw AliExpress generally punishes vendors with negative feedback so they try to be nice with returns most of the time
the box and packaging and style of the figure is the same as JNB,
also look good on 1st glance but have a lot of problems
That’s very interesting
The John Mayer figure got me. He do look like John Mayer and I like it
It's crazy
Now-defunct company U2 Toys actually had the real 'Mad Max' license for awhile, but I wouldn't say they were very good. (Oddly enough, they were also the first toy company to hold the 'Kingdom Hearts' license.) =)
That's interesting!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Excuse me, I meant to say "N2" Toys. XD But even though the figures weren't very high-quality, they DID make nearly every character from 'The Road Warrior'! =)
Your Body is a Wasteland. Lol nice. MAD MYER
lol
there are some old mad max figures from road warrior. they're just the basic 5-point articulation figures. and last I checked this figure is cheaper than those. but yeah, someone needs to pick up the mad max license, NECA would be the best choice for a great sculpt at an affordable price but mcfarlane knows how to release vehicles at an affordable price.
Mezco would probably nail it
@@NostalgiaUnboxed yeah, but I'd like something more affordable, especially if they do more than just max.
Mid Max
lol
Well mad max had a self destruct on his car 😂😂 looks like they fitted one to that figure 😮😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
haha!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed😂👍
The jacket is HUGE lol shoulder padded leather jacket
yeah
Is that Marv from Home alone?
haha!
Figure doesnt look like my kinda thing at all, thankfully.
good
What a craphole company. It's almost like they were looking to rage bait you with how they responded at every step. Even as far as admitting it's a bad policy but oh well. Unbelievable.
yeah, pretty sad
Great Job!
thanks
For 300 they could have at least used real leather for the jacket and holsters idk 🤷🏼
$300?
Looks like Michael Dudikoff then Mel Gibson
haha!
id rather buy the japanese mad max, aka “hokuto no ken”. they got those out on the market.
haha, heck yeah!
🛣AWESOME VIDEO JOHNNY!🤗🕺💃🏍
thank you!
"Yes please, gogogo."
Finally, I found a worst customer service agent than me.
😂
This figure leather zipper can be zipped
Mildly resembles AEW's MJF
lol
My name is Jeff
Hi Jeff
Marvel rivals reference.
what is
DAMN.
Doin' the lawd's work here!
There's so much going wrong with the figure!
-The weird tool thing is a tool that should attach to the back of the belt. In fact, I *THINK* it goes into a smaller rectangular pouch to the left of the big one, with the hook part hanging down through it (There's a photo of Max from behind in THE ROAD WARRIOR out in the world to confirm, as well as yearly part of the film)
-The wood paint wasn't finished on the shotgun handle.
We need someone like Mezco to do this, but Ramen Toy should build the Interceptor from the ground up
IMO that wasn’t a tough ask for the replacement part. I guess that company doesn’t plan on being around.
Insane move
Lol 1/6 kit has been around for along time. It ain't going anywhere
Kit is the man, one of the best overseas companies in the figure market... there might some "lost in translation " conversations. But he is the best!
lol OSK has been around for years
The third party experience as always😂 hit or miss like no other 😂 some are better than official releases a lot are 💩 trying to be official items😂
I feel like they rule more than they fail
@ agree specially this past year! My figure of the year is a third party set at customs John wick, they mostly do an amazing job and is improving very quickly… but not all Chinese companies are like this but then again even their bootleggers are going pro 😂 ct toys is amazing my toy company of the year. 😂
Yeah I joined there facebook group i never owned a 1/6 hi end figure before wanted to ask the group some questions my post was deleted and i was roasted in the group and i left the group.
Good lord!
Hi
Hi
Wow! I’m sorry you had to go through that but talk about putting their foot in their mouth lol. Did you kindly drop them a link to this video in a final response? Maybe they wouldn’t care but the satisfaction feeling would be something. I’ve never shopped there and now I definitely will not!
They are 🪦 to me lol
I can’t lie I’ve been watching you forever but I just Realized I wasn’t subbed… please don’t sacrifice me to the shf gods🙏🏻🙏🏻
Haha! Thank you
It’s wild watching people in the comments defend something like that.
Well, Boo hoo.
agreed
@-Xrated, you gotta chillout, man. You're raging throughout the comments
Period.
Woooowwww. That's crazy. Thank you for the heads up. I guess i won't be ordering anything from them lol.
You're welcome!
Same...was a fan of kit, no more
Kit is the best!
@ I usually order from Kit but disappointed in his response here. Will avoid kit for my other orders.
❤
thank you
@ bro you are the best
Cool accessories and clothes but the figure itself looks like crap.
I would want it only for the clothes alone and give it to a female figure body just for a tomboy look but I won't spend $90 just for that.
Not worth it
I like the way the character looks for the most part but I mean not being able to move him around without it possibly breaking is a big issue especially for that price. Very sorry to hear about your figure and experience with the seller. I hope in the future we can get a better company to do a better figure of this guy. Road warrior/mad max should be a no brainer when it comes to figures its perfect for a line of figures!
Agreed! We need a solid option
Yikes he cool but pricy 😢nice review tho❤
Not worth it, unfortunately
John Mayer and pleather won’t age well sadly 😅 you’ll be left with his body as a wonderland 😉 and nothing more 😂
I will be left slow dancing in a burning room... idk
Kit is amazing.
good
Feel the BURN!!! Go get em', Johnny!! Good for you on calling out companies that display bad behavior. Too many times they do it with those without the platform to inform others to be aware. Maybe one day we'll get good 1/12 Mad Max figures
sigh, maybe one day
You mean, Johnny made himself look childish by filing a complaint about a figure he broke ON VIDEO because he doesn't understand how to handle said figure, wants a replacement part even though he clearly can't read the terms / policy before making a purchase that is there for all to see regarding returns / replacements, etc, doesn't get what he wants so he threatens to leave a bad review. Yeah, Shame on Johnny. Kit did nothing wrong.
Poopy boys 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol
It doesn't look like Mel Gibson! No thanks.
Not at all
This figure looks so trash lmao, God I can only hope another like maybe Mafex, who've been releasing dope movie icons from the 80s, gets a piece
or Mezco. Definitely need a good option

What a crappy way to “not” encourage your veiwers to talk shit about the atore just because your feelings got hurt where there is a good chance the you broke the part.
yes
I was recently debating buying this figure so the review is very well timed. Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us.
Funny that you mention crappy emails from onesixthkit. I emailed them a few days ago about a preorder that closed two days prior, for the 1/12 Yep Studio NO.0009 TaiKo-Toyotomi Hideyoshi figure. I sent a very nice and polite email asking if I could still get in on it. This is what I got in response: "Not possible, its cut off already."
I don't mind that they said "no" though I wasn't thrilled with the lack of courtesy but let it go. I found it at Giantoy and found several positive reviews for them on Reddit so I ordered it there. Now that I see how combative and rude onesixthkit is with customers I'm glad I didn't get it there and probably won't ever order from them again.
(Btw, the Yep Studio historic samurai figures are really incredible looking, I recommend them.)
Edit: onesixthkit tracked me down because of this comment and has been sending me the most unhinged and bizarre emails this morning.
Yeah, I love the YEP figures. Reviewed one a while back. Stunning
