The fashion house also said that it wanted to remind people that though we might look different on the surface, i.e., different skin colors, we are all one race united under the same sun. It strived to accentuate its theme of unity and diversity by varying the color tones of the looks in the show. In Pharrell Williiams' own words, the color "went from black, to dark brown, to brown, to light brown, to beige, a little bit of gray there ... and light beige, and then finally to white ... It was a homage to human beings." A very nice collection with LV's signature contemporary looks and classic elegance. I just think that the color Black is a bit over-represented. It is a reflection of Pharrell Williams: what he covets and what he thinks is ideal. No doubt that Williams is leading LV towards a direction unseen before.

As a black man, I don’t interpret what you’re trying to say here to be racist but be mindful that people might jump to that conclusion. I totally get it from the standpoint that the brand now seems to be a very high price good where you’d just buy things to patronize the movement and not much about the clothes. Wales Bonner is a combo of movement and clothes. And it gives some much grace to the intrinsic wealth of black people. Not the extrinsic like I see in LV here. If that is LV play and it works all good. I think Pharrell has great personal taste and influence. He can identify the next cool thing and in the past he did that well for designers. If I were LV (and it was financially viable for them), I’ll create a Muiccia-RAF duo here and make a Pharrell-Wales Bonner duo. She designs and he does what he does best in telling us how to experience these clothes. It is just an opinion. And I promise this doesn’t say Pharrell is bad. He is a creative director not a designer. Just wishing he could have a different source of inspiration
