THE LAST INCA ROPE BRIDGE, Q'ESWACHAKA 🇵🇪 PERU DAY 116
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- Let's take a journey to Q'eswachaka, the last remaining Inca rope bridge. This bridge has been standing for more than 500 years, and it's the last of its kind. Q'eswachaka is re-roped every year in June by the communities and towns around the area. It's made of the grass that surrounds it (and only grows at high altitude). The Inca rope bridge (Q'eswachaka) is one of the most interesting places in Peru. Besides that, we take a little roadtrip around Peru near Cusco looking for Palcoyo Mountain, which is a new, smaller Rainbow mountain. We stop off the road to talk to several Peruvian villagers and farmers. The Inca Rope bridge was the highlight of the day, but we saw so much more. We are traveling during the COVID 19 pandemic, so travel just isn't the same in South America. See what happens in The Coronavirus Peru Travel Vlog.

Linsey, You and the baby llama❤❤look adorable.
Beside of " Mr. Cabeza de papa🐕😍"
@@carlosespinoza2453 you want a good behavior star or something :)
Definitively one of your best videos in Peru. I'm so happy you met the warm, humble and hard working people of my beloved country...
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 gracias!
Lindsey, Alex, your parents are happy, excited and proud following your adventures in Peru.
Love this video. I like the way when you travel that you stop and smell the roses (meeting locals ❗️)
ThOse are some of our favorite experiences
Thank you for all you have done and will do the world is a better place because of people like you. Be safe and happy trails.
Awesome experience 🤗 we are going to miss so much to Potato🐾🐶😭 the trip is not going to be the same without him🐶🥔❤️🐾🇵🇪🇺🇸🐾
I know it totally won’t be. As the time is getting closer to him leaving it’s getting real.
The shots you get. Outstanding. Great video!
Thank you!!
You guys should go to Pikillacta, it was a village in times of the Wari empire. It's a bus drive from Cusco. Greetings.
That sounds amazing. Writing it down
@@TheTravelbum It is, Wari was the first empire of South America before the Inca Empire. Their capital was located in Ayacucho, Perú.
Pikillacta is to go only with tour, because it is hard to arrive there, also Tipon and Andahuaylillas
Pikillacta should be closed yet but it' worth the visit with Tipon is a site with fountains and falling waters very amazing.
Have you realized that you had contact with a 100% Quechua speaker, 0% spanish ? Imagine to find a Navajo speaker in the US that only knows that lenguage. What a cultural experience!!!
Yeah! It was so amazing. It’s quite easy to find that in Peru once you get far out there enough ✊🏻
Can't wait to see the Part 2!! You guys are my favorite, every single video of you makes happy everybody.
Thanks so much! New video coming today part 2!
You guys rock. It’s amazing how Cuzco is so beautiful.I’m from Lima but live in Parker Colorado. I have never been to Cuzco but I will need to go next time. I love your videos!!!!😀
Mr.Potatohead has got to be the envy of all the local dogs..hehehe...he's so sweet. The lagoon area is so beautiful..and really nice. So how cold is it there now 4:30 , the guide is in an armhole shirt and no sweater..wow. I wonder if Alpaca is the national animal of Peru? So are there two languages in Peru 7:29 ? It's totally amazing that the locals with all the locally grown and make unbelievable things like a bridge. This part is gorgeous 12:52 - 13:00 .
The national animal of Peru is the vicuña which is depicted in the national seal of Peru. It's a relative of the alpaca. Quechua is the ancient language of the Inca Empire. It's an official alternate language in Peru spoken mainly in remote towns. Nowadays the main language of Peru is Spanish.
@@hyperbius760 Fabulous response..thank you
Hi Guys , that baby lamb was SOOOOOO cute !!!!! 🥰 I will be wating with my mom for the next video :-) Saludos from Germany 💖
I was feeling a little down here in the states because our governor decided to close the restaurants (only the ones that have an outdoor patio can be open to 25% occupancy), we must wear masks when walking outdoors, when running, it is just terrible, but you guys gave me the energy to go to my favorite coffee place (flying star) I got a blueberry scone, a late (in a real clear cup, no paper cups), some huevos rancheros with homemade potatoes and corn tortillas (instead of flour tortilla) it was delicious went and sit outside (it was hot like 90 plus degrees) but the environment was so pretty that I forgot it was hot.. honestly I am glad I live in a small town and I can go for a drive to the countryside and keep my spirits up, I work in a grocery store and I am seeing a lot of people with problems that they didn't have 4 months ago.. Please keep the USA in your prayers, and have fun for all of us, also keep doing good stuff for the community, (because of you guys I am doing my part too) thank you for your wonderful videos and stay safe....
I loved seeing your encounters with the locals. What stories they could tell, if only you spoke Quechua. The local bread looked delicious! After all of the lockdown time in Cusco, I know you must be exhilarated to get out and experience more of beautiful Peru.
Another great video guys! Love your Guac shirt Lindsey. ❤️
Haha thank you. I got it from old navy :)
You guys are very lucky with the weather in Cusco. It's humid, hot and sticky in New York. And there are thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Yes it’s been perfect weather lately!
I love your videos, I enjoy with your videos, knowing side of my land that I don't know too much. Thanks a lot. Greeting from Peru
🙏🏻 gracias!
Mr Potatohead was thinking of crossing the bridge. But he understood Alex saying it was not safe. Potatohead understands English.
Right, like the horses I've seen who can multiply 3 x 7!!!
I think he does!
He is a bilingual dog! Awesome!
You guys are right, at home we speak 3 languages, English, French & Spanish and our lovely dog understood all the commands we gave it in the 3 languages, we missed it a lot.
Amazing videos guys, love Peru!!!
Suerte amigos y no se desanimen ya todo pasará 💪💪
Amazing video!!! Waiting the next one.... U should go to the “SALAR DE MARAS”, maybe “MORAY”. Love u guys! Grettings from Lima 🇵🇪

Hola me gustan sus videos soy de Perú vivo en España
Thank you for touring us to the underrated places of Peru! Felt like I was there and I miss Potatohead!
It’s great going to the hidden gems
10-12,000 feet above sea level. Atmospheric pressure in action.
-Bread is flat.
-No bean cooks well
-your hot, boiling soup is warm.
What else?
Beautiful views!!! I love the way that you appreciate Cuzco and the animals, so sad to say goodbye to Mr Potato but it is understandably that you can’t travel with him.
It’s very sad , thank you for understanding. It’s going to hurt to say goodbye. We have a huge appreciation for Cusco and the creatures in it ❤️❤️❤️
Chicos felicidades por sus videos. Donde busco lvideos q visitaron a machupichu

You guys shouldn't feel bad for leaving mr. Potatoehead. You have done so much for him already. Take care.
Thank you very much. This helps to hear. We have tried to do everything we can for him. We love him.
The lady spoke only Quechua, there are many, many Peruvian languages spoken in Peru, depending on the part of the country. Since, you guys are in Cuzco, you should visit Ollantaytambo, tambo, in Quechua means town. The place has been continually inhabited since the 1200s. It has a well-preserved native water system, good traditional stone architecture, and cobblestone streets. The native people were successful in defending the town against the Europeans, who were not able to take it, without the massive aid of native warriors, enemies of the Incas.
Yeah but 80% of the population speaks Spanish as their mother tongue
So amazing. How can I donate?

Loved the intro was awesome 👏
Hello Lindsey and Alex
Hola!!
Mr. Potato Head is bilingual.
Amerikan kids might become bilingual too, like Mr Potatohead, if we can just keep them out of public school a bit longer.
Coca tea without sugar. 👍👍👍
Oh gosh,,,bare hands touching the bread... during a pandemic....
Q&A will u maje inca trail? Y should maje it or the trail from hidroeléctrica to aguas calientes. And did u check the tours from mountain lodges of peru? They have amazing routes and places to stay
Wear your mask when visit areas in Peru that are not infected by the coronavirus. Do not give unsensitized products to the locals.
gave me anxiety when the guy touch the bread and then gave it to u ! lol u should of havre grabbed to with ur hands instead lol
Why dont across That bridge???
Where is potato actually. Quiero conocerlo, es un perro hermoso.
Potato is trilingual, don't worry about it.
Haha he probably is
What about the fiesta del C
Will you go to Paucartambo?
Do you watch The Society on netflix?
I’m going to be so sad when you have to say goodbye to Mr. Potato Head....at least you should take him to get used to that family for a few hours a day.... I don’t know if I will be able to see the farewell video 😭😭😭😭
We will try and make the farewell video not too sad. It’s bitter sweet. We will miss him but it’s happy because he is no longer a street dog and he will have a happy safe and free life

omg dont drive by yourself the roads in peru are very dangerous dont do that also you can get robbed easily !
A lot of people have been mentioning it’s not safe. We have driven around a bit and have never felt unsafe.
@@lindseyfw2903 cusco yes it is safe because it is a tourist place but if you go outside cusco it is not safe and is dangerous
No thanks...I couldn't cross that bridge.
While you are driving through Peru, remember that the country is divided into different regions and each region is quite different from the others, be careful, especially at this time of the pandemic, perhaps it may be a good idea to use a driver/guide.
I like that guide that appears in your video, I hope I can go to Cusco soon, I would like to have him as a guide
Allillanchu is the common greeting in Quechua. Also he was asking her name: Ima sutiky? (What is your name?)

Yeah! The drone is working again. I love those shots. Keep em coming.
Much more coming! It’s being a little weird, so some of the best ones didn’t work. It keeps crashing!

Wow!! you're so lucky to have those places for yourself!! Peru is an awesome country! Went on top of my list now! :)
It’s such an incredible place.
Wait so what happened to the masks? The virus is still going strong FYI, take care guys
@todos somos venezuela dare you to go to a hospital in the Covid-19 area if you say it doesn't exist than go ahead go.
@todos somos venezuela Personas como vos es por que el mundo esta que se derrumba. por favor informate bien antes de hablar.
@@MotorViewChannel it's well known people die with the virus,if they have it but not because of it.... Also, the mask doesn't protect at all. Not yourself either others. It just makes things worst.
Cuzco is ONE of the cities of Peru with No Coronavirus cases.. the virus was controlled there.
@@mathieutallard6328
You shit ignorant! So why do doctors almost always wear face masks or other safety equipment in hospitals? Why do Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese have a lower degree of contagion, when they have a culture of wearing masks? All of this long before the pandemic. Get reading before commenting on stupid ...
Saying goodby to Mr. Potatohead is going to be hard for everyone who has travelled with you on these adventures!
I know I am going to cry! I am not ready for it!
You have to take him with you
That's an episode I'm gonna miss.
Fun fact, about your comment Quechua as the native Language from Perú , we have Aymara too, but the actual fact is , did you know recent studies states that probably the Incas had another language called PUQUINA?. Some words like The INCA word itself are not an word either from quechua or aymara, so according the new studies, it seems the inca´s lords and their families used a secret language only allowed to them. Sadly It seems this language got lost in time.
Very interesting!
Very TRUE, in addition some languages were meant only to comunícate with the Gods.
I can’t wait until they open The borders so I can travel there too .. I have to connect With my Peruvian roots.
I hope you can get here soon!
Keep on traveling. It's, as always, great to follow your journey. Lindsey, a lamb won't make it as a travel companion if Potato Head won't.
Taking a selfie with baby lamb is priceless.
One the best videos you guys have made so far in Perú.😎👍
Hi! From Fl however I am Peruvian from Lima. I went so many time to Cuzco that I lov it! The food is amazing! Try pizza in Cuzco baked on traditional oven. The cheese on the pizza, its so good! Its a real organic cheese made in Cuzco. Also, try gigant corn w cheese in the market, very traditional!
Rocoto relleno is from arequipa, but is good too! Spicy and hot because the pepper. Natural fruit juice in the market!! Wow!!!
Frutillada cuzquena its the ancient kombucha, a must! I am so jealous of u guys... traveling and food is my passion. Enjoy my country, that enjoy ur videos!lol🥰🥰🥰🥰🎊🎊🐼🐼🐼🌷💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼😷😷😷😷🤣🤣🤪🤣🤪🤪
Oh Linsay eres tan dulce...muchos saludos!!
I love your channel! I’m an American-Peruvian living in the U.S. I can say that you’ve seen my native country more than I have, but that’s cool, haha. Peru is an enormous country! Have fun exploring!
There’s so much to see, it seems endless. We are going to try and see as much as possible.
Thanks so much and we are glad you love it!
Lindsey, your own made face masks seems to more traditional like Peruvian Tradition.
Wow., wow .... amazing experience guys. Very interesting at the same time.
7:27 I want a lamb now
Careful if you're driving yourself, peruvian roads can be very tricky and you better be prepared w extra gas and tools for emergencies. Also lots of bad drivers, and if you're not used to weather conditions there, it could be scary. Be safe! I'm peruvian and wouldn't drive long distances myself, it's not like the US where you drive flat on the highway, Perú requires training I'd say ! ✌😎🇵🇪
Ohhh the bread. I’ve tried a hundred times to duplicate it in San Antonio. With no success; maybe our low altitude?

Than k you👍i'm native peruvian so..
Paron lake it's so beautiful. Huaraz!!!
Amazing video !! you guys were in places were not even Peruvians go haha that is a good luck .
you guys be careful when people handle the food and you eat strait from their hands "BE CAREFUL".
i know you want to travel for your selves in a car . but BE CAREFUL traveling at night it can be dangerous mostly robbers , they like to put rocks or items on the road so you stop. so keep EYE on that.
when traveling keep your cards or money in a secret place , maybe in the back seat under the carpet , fuse box and keep some money so they see you had some.
those are some tips that might help you . GOOD LUCK 🇵🇪🇺🇸
OMG, i was hardened but my heart melted feeling the soft little lambs! i have been researching covid all week so this is a nice break. As for leaving Cusco, you’ve been saying that 4 months now. lol
Haha it’s real this time
todos somos venezuela 3 relatives died of covid. i read the autopsy reports.
Hello guys, love your videos but it made me so nervous to see you with other people in a car without masks. Please take care of yourself , here in Texas we were doing so great until people started to go out and no wearing masks and now we are one of the hotspots in the country. My message is , do not panic just take the necessary precautions to stay healthy and safe and enjoy what Peru has to offer :)
Agree, it will be sad to say good bye to mr potato head :(
Yessica Zucca I am already tearing up😢
Went to Palcollo 3 weeks ago! Like another planet! We were the only group (6 of us) there. Our guides spoke Quechua, some Spanish and some limited English. There is almost no infrastructure there. Looks forgotten! Total silence. We went to the top (about 1 1/2 hours). Very challenging, uphill, very thin air! Bring a walking stick. Probably one of the most AMAZING places on earth! Even getting there (including the Red River) was unforgettably beautiful! Can’t wait to go back!
This was a great tour. You're blessed to have experienced this day. What a cute lamb. Thanks for your lovely words. So looking forward to meeting you and having Mr. POTATO Head (alias SPUD)as part of our lives. 😘
We are so glad that he is going to you. We hope you love him as much as we do. ❤️
@@lindseyfw2903 me too. me too. me too. He's looks so peaceful his new bed.
Guys Great video, amazing sights. My advice to rent a car, better to hire a driver due to roads go up and down, many hills and many curve, a local guy that knows the roads is best option.
On other side try to go up on Urubamba River!! Be safe and enjoy. Ciao. Manuel
Love this video, i want to see part 2
Soon 🙏🏻
Lindo Cuzco, gracias por los videos chicos, bendiciones😘
This is a great video. I don't know if there's countries you traveled with so much details but that's the real way to do it and a driver... well, since you don't drive yourself, it's a good idea, maybe more than if you were driving yourself. Well I'm not certain about that but still, great video.Im always amazed how people find their lives to be normal when so many, us included, are living diffently. Who s right or who's wrong....I think we're better because we have choices. And most of us take a shower every day . Details in comfort makes live more enjoyable I think.
