Tiberiu, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this repair and for all the other things you helped me with. And also especially thank you for making this repair a video. I absolutely love your channel and to be part of it it's it's a true honour. I owe you big time :)
I have this and the TC-500 and both have the same problem. Thanks to you I shall take some time to see if they can be fixed. I have learnt so much from you my friend. Your videos inspired me to launch my channel. Thank you so much.
You are great. I had this watch during my teens. One scratch on the glass cutting off any of those conductive lines will make it stop from working properly. In fact, it is easy to see broken circuit on the glass visually by looking at a proper angle. The glass being almost flush with the body makes it very susceptible for scratches. Casio made the glass recessed very deep in the subsequent models.
Thanks so much for this. Was able to replace the screen on my tc-600 using your instruction. I have had mine for over 30 years and I'm really happy to have got it to work again.
Just picked one up from car boot for a steal didn’t know exactly what it was until i got it home.. and checked...how would you clean the case and crystal... the crystal has a couple of scratches... don’ t want to do anything aggressive to crystal considering it’s a touch screen and a very rare model...its working perfectly but could do with a clean... and the pushers are a little marked... can they be replaced from another model... case is chrome plated and pushers look to be plastic chrome plated.... I have a large collection of watches from digital to mechanical...excellent content in your videos most helpful and inspiring... absolute asset... fantastic channel... keep up the good work
Thanks for taking the time and sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. It's one thing to do this off camera but a different level doing it in front of a camera.
I’ve been collecting Casio vdb’s since the early 90’s and I’ve tried several times to fit the module of the 3000 or 3120 to the casing of a vdb 101, in other words try to use the more aesthetically pleasing 101 case house the 3000 series calculator module. FAIL x 5 !! I would pay good money to have someone achieve this
Thank you s much for the video. Quick question: how did you remove the back panel off the watch? I got one for free from a neighbor and I would like to see if changing the abttery will fix it but since there are ni screws, I don't know how to proceed?
@@eicas_11 As with many fixes it is possible to do it without the proper tools, I am missing quite a few tools but if I have them I like to use them for convenie ce and safety of the watch.
I replaced the battery of my Casio cmd 40 but time on the screen remains costant. It is all the times show 12:00:00 which does not change. Sould I replace the crystal ? Or any other solutions ?

Hi, I have a VDB-200 that suddenly stopped working one side of the screen, and then just stopped altogether. What could it be? Thanks!
Tiberiu you are the Man!!! Great Job!!!
Patricio Véliz Thanks! I try :)
What happens to the old screen to make it stop working?
Do you have Casio W36 Marlin ? I not found in good condition
Do you do repairs on Casio AT-552? This is one of the gesture style calculator watches with the analog as well.
No
Great video! I have a vdb-101 (1553) and the touchscreen is not working at all. Any ideas of what this could be?
Something in the area where the zebra strip from the display meets the board.
This watch is awesome
Awesome video!
Wanted to see how to get the back off. You skipped that!
Thank you for your video. I just got a TC600 and the LCD is washed out, is there a fix for this?
You mean like dimm?
Vintage Digital Watches exactly, it is washed out instead of inky black
My Dad bought one of these brand new, I think in 1984 ish...
I have it now. I should prob put a battery in it and check if it still works.
MeesterDash Let us know if you managed to get it working.
