you are amongst a few airsoft content creators that are upfront, honest, and respectful. I have nothing against the rifle as it performs as it should for shooting up 1 joule. I get why people have high standards for this gun, but they should stick to their hi-capa’s and M4’s if they are going to compare it to those platforms. Hi all thanks for watching. So as you can see, it's not a bad little performer. I will be doing a full review video all the good bad and the ugly. But in summary, some things you should know:
1. The mags are quite heavey even though the gun is light so bear that in mind before you buy if you want a light weight set up.
2. The mags are hard to fit in normal mag pouches but I think nov has made ones for it now.
3. HPA is going to make this an absolute beast and that is my intention as soon as the adpator is out I will be all over it.
4. Accuracy is good but its no SSG10/24. Range is good but could be better. It's no SSX303 on that front. But most wont be dissapointed.
5. If you want to have fun and like GBBR's then this is for you. But dont take my word for it or anyones, do your own research, try one out. If you like it then get it.
So it’s light, but not that light. It’s accurate, but not the most accurate. It’s got range, but not the most range.
It sounds like it’s what can be reasonably expected from a GBBR DMR. Seems like a pretty fair review of the gun with entertaining gameplay.

Ya its possible and maybe I got one of the good ones its hard to say I can only show you how mine worked. For me no issues.

I've just had a chance to fully watch the video @fox Green.
A few things have come back to me. That climb up that back in the last segment before you hit the trenches was tough, but good fighting. I only walked past you to act as your decoy and divert attention to give you an advantage. That MP7 of mine sounded mean as heck! After the point where you directed me to the ambush laid for us, I completely lost you in the terrain!

Have you done a range test? Looking at the 2 Juel version. Really wanting a DMR for my play style. I know you love getting those long-range hits. Nothing more satisfying than watching through the scope and seeing those BB's land!

I am using 5 mags man I bought an extra for more capacity maybe watch the video you can see I am using the banana mags mostly.
Plus those banana mags loon horrible 🤮 not to mention getting them to fit in mag pouches is a nightmare. Straight one looks sexy!

They are actually the wileu X spear not cheap to be fair but still fog without the unit. 🙂

Very good game play footage with the SSQ……. I would love to know what Kickingmustang was on about….??? Watching his video you could tell he could not be arsed in making a video about it, it was more about bashing Nov and having a bit of a cry about not getting payed. Why even make a video…..??? Why did he just not sent the rifle back and say sorry but no thanks……???? Why all the need for the drama all the time. I would love to know what’s going threw his head…..?? What’s his end game or what he hopes to get out of this. But I think he has pissed enough people off this time he has finally shot him self in the foot
I mean Mustang aswell as CamMan were testing it as a DMR, this gameplay is almost pure CQB and even in this video if it gets a little further out the BBs hav quite a significant drop.
@@DomENjoy it’s based on a 22 rifle so it’s a short range DMR……. And even calling it a DMR is not an accurate description, but yeah a CQB Sniper. I have seen it first hand and short to medium range and it’s very nice.
@@ManiaAirsoft what even is a "short range DMR", makes no sense. But I agree, it is a CQB weapon but they explicitly market it as a DMR with crazy accuracy and range on their website. That is just not true from most reviews I have watched.

You are using a different mag at the beginners of the video then the other reviewers got with theirs.
Ya I bought one extra one so I had 5 mags I use the four originals and this as an extra. All work good. So it's compatible with all KC-02 mags 👍🏻
Despite all things said about this gun it seems to work perfect.
Maybe there differences in the versions.
Mine works fantastic. I also play it with magnafier and red dot and it is a beast.

Yes it perfromes great out of the box unlike most airsoft 10/22 replicas. Anyone I know that got one seems very happy with it 👍🏻

How do you get your scope cam to be so clear! Looks amazing, I’ve got both the runcam 4k and a foxeers but never seem to be able to get this good of a quality any help would be nice! Great video
Hey man well I do shoot and edit the video in 2.7 k 60 fps but I image stabilise after I'm editing so it makes it seem clearer so that's helps

What nozzle would you recommend for open field? I have seen that you used 1J and the performance is very good but I have the 2J version on the way, in other videos that I have seen with 2J it has not given very good results, thank you.
If I was open field I'd use the most power I am allowed. So if you can do 2 joules do that but make sure you use heavy bbs for best accuracy. For 2 joules I'd use 0.45 to 0.48 g bbs. At 1 joule I use 0.32 and 0.36 bbs so that massively helps my accuracy. 🙂

What mags are you using seems different from the ones at their webpage?
I was only using one different mag my 4 others are the nov ones. I can't remember the brand mag I got but it wasn't good. I would stick to the orginals they seem to handle the cold better.
Great video and gameplay Fox Green! I am interested in the SSQ22, but the field where I play restricts us to 350 FPS, and we can only use their 0.20 bbs. We aren't allowed to use heavier bbs. A lot of the material I've seen with this rifle is that it is designed to shoot heavier-weighted bbs. The longest shot I will have to make at my field is maybe 30-40 meters at most. I would guess the majority are around 20-30. Everything is CQB style of gameplay and played indoors with no wind/branches/etc. Do you know if this gun will work and the mags feed properly, given the field limitations I'm facing? I would also buy the nozzle set to get the FPS into the proper range.
I purchased the SSP5 5.1" pistol through your affiliate link and because of your review, so now I am also considering adding a rifle. Would the SSQ22 work, or should I stay more towards the SSR4 with the 1-joule spring?
I have never tried 0.2 g bbs but I guess if its CQB you could use it alroght don't see why not. 🙂

don’t try to snipe or dmr with 0,20bbs. but its ok for close range cqb

I dont think the ssg24 is sold anymore but ya that was a beast I'd say it was better than the 10.

A little hard to put in and out not that smooth but no feeding issues and no gas venting so they work well.
I looked on novritsch's website for the gas grenade you used in video and there is a gas grenade but it's not the same one you used... is it ? or is there different ones coming out? --- wait I think I found it, it's the gas sound grenade

What colour novritsch ghillie suit would you recommend for uk woodland thinking amber
I dont have it but I would get the keleuzotter version. I have the Amber one and camo'd it up perfectly but i feel like the kruzotter one would require less work. The colour is very nice man just add a bit of halo screen and raffia and you will get amazing results!
Definitely looks better with a straight mag. You have any significant velocity drop off?
The straight mag isnt as good as the orginal but nicer looking. I'd say about 0.2 joules loss roughly due to the cold 🥶
@@FOXGREEN hey im still pretty inexperienced with airsoft. Are the straight mags from another brand? cause i couldnt find novritsch straight mags and they look soooo much cooler. I didnt know other mags are even compatible with the gun :O

I like Novritsch stuff but this looks to me like a pistol with extra long barrel. Fox green have extra wide lense on his cams so shoots look further then their are, most of those shoots are easily done with a pistol. I would hold on until more people will review this.

I was thinking this is like an AAP01 in a carbine kit essentially. Ya these shots are about 40 to 50 m but then again it is 1 joule not two joules. Still can't argue with that accuracy.
It's always best to wait and see what other people say. Do your research don't jump on anything.
Hi Fox :) I think a lot of those shots are down to your skill rather the gun. But if this is advertised as dmr reach should be closer to 60-70m from stock gun. Keep up the content, you made me buy ssx23 thanks to one of your reviews.
Yeah I'd agree. My SSP18 does 180ft with pretty good accuracy, and if the carbine kit ever comes out then you'd basically have a better primary than this AND have a badass secondary to boot.
Note he is running 1J here, so a 2J gun should definitely reach 70m flatish and push closer to 80m arcing them. Definitely DMR worthy, but as I've already got two sniper rifles I'd want to see some long range testing first. I reckon this'll be the gun I end up getting for my wife tho

Great gameplay as always. Not bad for 50F weather and 1J....what gas were you using? Stuck with green in the states, and my SSP18 starts going downhill fast in those temps. On that note, you should run the drum mag for it...not nearly as cumbersome as the HPA kit, but you can actually kept the gun fed and gassed up hahah! Always end up using the drum for the few times I run it as a primary.
Thinking about getting the SSQ22 as my wife's starter gun. Would like for you to try it at different power levels and show us the ranges you get out of it if you get the chance. Particularly interested in the 2J version functioning as a DMR. Kind of cheating especially when snipers are limited to 2.8J, but rules are rules right?
Hey man I don't rate the SSP18 on green gas but on C02 it's my favourite pistol I always run it with C02 so try that. Vild weather won't effect c02 hardly at all.
I will try different power levels when I travel. The only draw back is the mags are heavy and harf to carry so bear that in mind for your wife. The gun is super light an nimble though.
@@FOXGREEN my CO2 mags only get a few shots off in freezing weather....they do a bit better around 50f/10c but you won't be consistently full autoing in my experience.

@@T4nkcommander Ya full auto slows down even on C02 in that weather just keep it semi thats what I do in the cold. C02 has cool down also its jsut not as fast a rate as green gas so full auto cools that bad boi down fast! xD
I use super high pressure ‘black’ green gas on my ssp18 had no problems at all, maybe try that
@@robinwiggie Are you in the states, and if so, what brand? In the U.S. shipping anything higher than green gas is illegal, so therein lies the problem. Dino "Red" seems to do a bit better, but not much. Nov Green, Red, and Black all seem to be identical, and have gummed up every single gun my brother and I've used them in.
Will you do a video on your SSP5 and how you got the power to 1J?
I have a review versus the SSP2. To reduce down to 1 joule I basically installed a shorter inner barrel thats a wider bore. So 2 cm shorter and from a 6.01 to a 6.04 and that did it :)

I think it will work with all KC-02 mags I used novs ones and then a generic KC-02 one I belive C02 versions are available too but haven't tried one. I'll hpa mine eventually 👍🏻

Well of you want silence the SSX303 is good and it's gas efficient mote so than the SSQ but I woukd rec9mmend hpa'ing them both as green gas will always have inconsistencies shot to shot due to cool down. I have hoa'd my ssx303 and will be doing the same to my ssq22

Just from skirmshop online bit you can het c02 and hpa which I will do so it's suoer consistent as green gas guns but default are not consistent enough for me 🙂

What mags are you using for this?
So I used four of novs banan mags and also picked up a generic kc02 for extra mag capacity the straight one in my thumbnail. Even though the banana mags are awkward the work better than the straight one just fyi.

Yes indeed I am using one kc02 mag in this video rest are Nov ones but nov ones work better I have found and don't cool down as quickly.

That was just a generic KC02 mag I was running it and 4 nov banana mags in this video so I coukd get more ammo capacity

Hello. I am between ssq22 and ssx303. is ssq22 competitively capable against ssx303?
I think both will be very similar if hpa'd. Of keeping stock tye SSX303 is more gad efficient and will perfrom better in the cold. Both are accurate 👌

I there is always the possibility not all gun perform the same. I mean I can only judge what I have used.
But it coukd be cold weather and unclean barrel a defective gun etc. But i heard ames nicco was then given that gun and he has a video out tonight with it. Not sure if its true bit thats what I heard.
I think if you are unsure you should always wait sum it up and only pull the trigger when you are sure and have seen enough or even git hands on with one that's someone else owns. But for me I love mine and when I hoa it it may become my most used gun.
@@FOXGREEN yeah especially with novritisch models I always like to wait a bit because it seems quite common their first batch always has issues but they're good about getting them fixed as soon as they can someone at novritisch doing quality control doesn't seem to be doing his/her due diligence

@@FOXGREEN I would appreciate some harder recoil but I understand that would come at the price of gas efficiency so maybe something worth balancing out in the future if they come out with bigger gas reservoirs in the magazines and a bigger bolt option
I do think quality control needs to be stepped up a little for sure. I am sure they will invest in it. I have gotten lucky with mine bar one gun that I will be doing a review that wasn't quite up to scratch. But hey that's what I do tell it like it really is.

Mostly the stock nov ones but one of them is a straight mag from rough works didn't work ad well as the stock novritsch ones unfortunately

Not bad man I'd love to try it on higher. But ya you can see range is decent 45 m head shots at 1 joule no issue. A little cool down bit that's to be expected 👍🏻

For once i was actually interested in a rifle from novritsch, after being put off by his releases so far, but all ive seen is bad reviews coming from this.
I like it. Do your research watch plenty of videos and get hand on one before you make your mind up. I think you will like it personally. There is only one person slating it beacaue only about 8 people have one in the world now so there can't be loads of bad reviews yet.

The googles I am wearing is not a bloc tactical i theyare wiley x spear with the nov anti fog unit. I run normal bloc tactical also which I love. You can only buy the big bloc tactical goggles if you are are military unfortunately.

Not a fan of Kicking Mustang but he has one point I agree with. This isn't specifically aimed at you but if you're reviewing a product be honest about where you got it and if it was sent by the manufacturer tell people. Similar to how the likes of Garand Thumb and Administrarive results do.
I never have hidden that I am an affiliate of Novs since it happen last July its on my Instagram and all my pages. I always mention it too in all my videos. I say if I was sent it by nov too it is important to be fair. Before I was an affiliate I always used Nov guns so being an affiliate didn't change that other than I got sent different versions.
In general though I think he was targeting specific people in his video because they had a falling out but I get some dont make it clear.
One thing he is very wrong on though is us getting paid to do it or being told what to say that's totally lies. All affiliates get is commission off people if they use our links but that's peanuts anyway.
He makes his money off drama so not really suprised he is saying stuff like that or maybe its just him that gets offered it. but either way he has no way of knowing what I or others get offered how could he?. I think his video was more targeted at Nov for other reasons. Who knows why but maybe he sees him as a competitor with their new moduar ghillie suits about to drop. But again that's just speculation. One thing is clear is he makes most his money off drama to get people to flock to his conversations and videos. It's a nice way to get attention if you don't have a soul. 😂
@@FOXGREEN KM is very good at weaponising people and making money off the drama, and his video seems aimed at specific people. KM isn't someone I actively watch, hes far too toxic for me. Not sure if he got paid but hes likely burnt a bridge with Novritsch and thats KMs loss.

Nothing, I got a gun. If people use links, then I get commission like all youtubers including KM. This is not a review its gameplay and you can't argue with it the results.

I haven't done a review. Yet that is. We'll its filmed just not edited yet. I will release when it's all edited it will be objective as always. That's what my channel is known for.
So I didn't get money just a gun and I get commission if people click my links that's it. But KM is spinning today that all of us were paid. Which is not true plus how would he know? I put paid promotion on all my video with affiliate links as I always have done. That's what I am meant to do.

Cold weather for you HPA is the only way to get fps consistent. It's very accurate then.
I bought this ggb rifle online from Spain because I tought Novritsch was a reliable company. After one entire week waiting for it, UPS told me that the package was never received by them. Novritsch tell me to wait another 7 working days to give me a solution... Not trustworthy at all. Be carefull guys!!!

@@FOXGREEN Kind of weird suggesting Mustang has had "other motives" while at the same time you praise novritsch for not being "toxic". Airsoft CamMan has had a quite shitty experience aswell and the biggest German Airsoft Tech Review Channel also had some really bad stuff to say about some of the internals, especially the hopup. Maybe if you would have taken it out on a big field and testet it there since it is sold as a DMR.
I will test it on big fields also. I see Cammans just gone live 3 hours ago. He ran it at 1 joule like me.
Camman's is not a bad review its an honest unpaid review. (Both KM lies about) he said they were paid and it would be all positive. Did you see niccos video. I bet you didn't know that that is the same gun that KM used in his video? There are two sides to every story.
Gbbr players usually want realism. Well ssq22 is modeled after .22 so not dmr, no recoil really and it costs much as other gbbrs that are better. Why would you want gbbr with very little recoil?
Yes it's wierd to have a .22 as a dmr in reality doesn't make sense. I think if you want use a fun gun that has decent performance then you would get this. It will appeal to some but not everyone.
It's nice to have the option anyway. More guns is a good thing right?

@@FOXGREEN saw multiple reviews they all look pretty much the same, many mid tier aegs perform probably better or at least more consistent, but alright its a gas rifle it should at least have a good kick and be really fun to play with in that sense right? but it comes across like it doesn't even have any nice kick? so what is this gun? a hybrid thats not really good at anything then?
Ya the kick is low but that makes sense it's based of a ruger 10/22 I do a lot if real steel shooting and .22lr has zero kick so on a way its true to its real steel counterpart.
So if you want big kick just get a M4 style GBBR 👍🏻 Thisnis fun though and got the job done. I think I'll hpa it and use it loads then.
