Once had an installer leave knife cuts all along the edges of the PPF on a brand new 911. Work was done by Porsche of Livermore. Lesson to be learned. Never use a dealer for these services.
Just took delivery and unfortunately got mine ppf at the dealer. First off crapy job with knife cuts and they wrapped my headlights when I specifically told them not to. Live and learn as well think best is to go to a actual detail ppf shop instead of the dealerships. Just didn't want to deal with transporting without having protection on my brand new porsche.
Oh, dear. I just brought my 992 in to get a PPF. I hope you guys confirm my decision. In the end, I had no choice: another stone chip in the marvellous paintwork would ruin my nerves ;o)
Was the pizza from a coal fired oven? There is a "New Haven" style in Connecticut that uses a coal-fired ovens. Other very good locales for thin crust pizza: Chicago "tavern style," St. Louis style (which is basically tavern style but with either provel (a.k.a. "orange lava") cheese or a provel/mozzarella blend. Vu...pro Porsche influencer making sales just by talking!
@@Shooter1812 No problem! The PCA is amazing to me. Literally part of the reason I want to grab myself a Porsche (I think I even mention that in this episode!)
@@Detailsolutions You did. I’m late to the Porsche Party myself. I bought my one and only Porsche, a 2004 550 Anniversary Edition Boxster S, in 2015 at age 48. Ten years later, I’m a raving “True Believer” fan of the brand. Best sports car ever built in history, or at least tied with my old 1993 Miata. Naw, the Boxster is better. :) Welcome to the party, Pal!
Another great episode, very informative. But I gotta ask, what's the bell on the table for? Is that a countermeasure for questionable dialog or to curtail extended pontification? (I apologize if it has already been explained, I've missed a few episodes)
A friend of ours and frequent listener noticed Vu used the adjective "amazing' quite often, so he gave the show a bell. Now, whenever we catch someone saying "amazing" on the podcast, we hit the bell.

Very informative. Answered a lot of questions about doing ppf and window tint. Thank you!
Very welcome!
Just had my F350 Super Duty done, also did the windscreen and grill! Big fan

Too funny Ian!
Please share the “rinse less wash” you recommend.
Many thanks for the great programming, as usual.
I strongly suggest Americana Rinseless Wash or Optimum No Rinse. (Me in the video with the PCA guys!)

I have a 992 that has been PPF’d. What brand of rinseless car wash soap do you recommend for it?
Americana rinseless is our go-to! Fantastic product, easy to use and safe.
Can ceramic be used on original single stage paint?
Yes it can
PPF 👍🏻
Why does the narc conversation hi jack/talk about himself bicycling and pizza so much?
