Absolutely loved watching your trip. Such spectacular scenery and lots of fun had! Amazing waterfalls and mountains- and lovely weather for it too. Have to admit, we've been straight online and ordered the lights you had around your overhead awning- love them! Looking forward to have a catch up with you guys soon.
Hahaha…those fairy lights are awesome, we are particularly chuffed with them too! Glad you enjoyed watching, just need to buy some microphones 🙄. It would be great to catch up again soon - Good luck with the Nugget Connect meet up at the beginning of April, a fabulous idea…!!!! (If any subscriber is reading this, please visit our friends on UA-cam Channel ‘Silver Nugget Adventure’ as they are organising the first UK meet up for Ford Nugget enthusiasts, in Wales April 1st to 3rd 2022).
Thanks for putting together a great little ‘virtual holiday’ to bring a bit of sunshine to a very dull day here in the UK. That amount of footage must’ve taken ages to edit! Looks like you had some great times. We’re itching to get out in our caravan when the season kicks in! We love your honest, unpretentious videos and look forward to tales from the Nugget Plus. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Chistian, lovely comments. Yes, it does take ages! Tales from the Nugget Plus not far away now…it finally gets handed over to us next week - we are waiting for the registration and official hand over day 🎉🥳. Enjoy the next season with your caravan - like you, we can’t wait to get out there!!!
Just love your adventures! Imprinting so many precious memories into your girls! I just can't wait to get on the road with our brand new Nugget. 2 more weeks to go! So excited! 🤗
Very, very beautiful video, spectacular, beautiful places, we were fascinated, what waterfalls and the most beautiful thing is to see the girls super happy, in general the whole family happy. All the best❤❤💓💕
Thanks Rosi, we love being away together in the Campervan, exploring and having fun…its the best thing. Glad you enjoyed the scenery too, and yes, those waterfalls are magical ☺️👍🏻
What a wonderful childhood your girls have, making so many fabulous memories. Looking forward to seeing you in the high top, we have a California which we love but really fancy a high top.
Thanks Gillian, comments like these make us realise just how important it is for the girls and our family memories. (Just as I was writting this, I got interrupted by an email to say our High Top can be handed over from the dealership later this week 🎉🥳). We are truely looking forward to trying the high top as its a new thing for us, although we still love California’s like yours!!! Lets see how we get on!
Thank you providing motivation to get on the road with my family. After watching your videos for a couple years, I finally pulled the trigger and have rented a Nugget Plus Pop-Top for Spring Break. Could share your thoughts and experience on how cold is too cold for the pop-top? I have 3 little ones similar age to your family and keeping them comfortable through the night is my biggest concern. Thanks for all your great videos, my kiddos love watching!!!
Hi Pingisi, sorry I didn’t reply sooner. How did you get on with the rented Nugget? You can buy insulation for the pop tops which improves temperature and sound regulation but, depending on which type, can be a bit awkward to fit and store in the van when not in use. We found that in winter it would be very warm downstairs and too cold upstairs for girls (without insulation) and the other way around in the summer. The hard top can still get too warm in the summer though, which is one of the reasons we installed a Maxxfan, which helps considerably. Good luck with future purchases, best regards from the Calicamperfamily 😃
That looked like so much fun. Would love to ride a bike through the spray of a waterfall, so invigorating 😁 The girls will have some amazing memories to look back on. Take care guys, all the best 😀👍
Thanks Guys! It was awesome fun and very invigorating on a hot day like this was…I’m sure you noticed that Izzy was buzzing with excitement! Yes, this is all fabulous stuff for them to look back on with great memories, which is one of the main reasons we started to document using UA-cam, especially for Holly as she loves memory books. I think she’s our most regular viewer! 😃.
BTW, we really enjoy watching your videos, I try and see most of them and I’m particularly inspired by the frequency and quality…I’m enjoying using Lumafusion but need to purchase a wireless microphone as this is an area we need to improve on. Safe adventures as ever, J.
Looks like a fantastic adventure! Just wondered if you knew what type of safety net it is on the top bed section? It seems to be more robust than the open edged ones and looked like it went under the mattress? But I can’t seem to get Google to help me out finding it 😂
Good question Hannah. It’s just the safety net which comes as standard with the Nugget. I agree, it is robust and works very well…very safe as it attaches to the bed frame below the mattress. Thanks for watching 😃👍🏻
Wonderful stuff! The continent is so civilised for campers - those parking spots are fab. The girls are so adorable! Loved Poppy’s first Pop TV! No barbecue cover - have you managed to fit all the car seats in the front footwells? Also, what is the kids’ bike seat (the one that’s not like a normal bike seat)? Love the wardrobe shelving idea too we might look at one of those! Thanks for the video guys. We love them. Great to see you getting out enjoying it (although we’re a bit behind I see you’ve now got the Plus - excited to see how you find it!)
Hi Laura, great to hear that you love our videos! Thanks for your kind message…the girls love going camping and they love the Nugget. Pop TV is very cute and she loves copying Izzy, so I think we’ll see more! Good spot on the lack of BBQ cover….yes, as we no longer have to remove a passenger seat and there is more space inside, things are much easier. Also, we now only have 1 child seat and 2 boosters. The boosters store upside down on top of the dash board and the child seat in the passenger footwell. The bike seat is a special cargo e-bike called a ‘Yuba’. It has a longer tail-section so you can fit seats and running boards etc. The Nugget Plus is a dream, and the first proper overnighter trip is this weekend to Garda Land (Lake Garda, Italy) for Izzy’s birthday this weekend! Thanks for watching, J and family 😎
Fab thanks so much! We caught up on some of your other videos last night and saw the car seats. The bike looks great. Happy birthday for the weekend Izzy. What a present for her, sure you will all have a blast! You say there’s more room in the nugget.. how are you finding the storage compares? Looks like it could be similar for cupboards but you lose the boot which seems significant? Yet you’ve lost the roof box (but I think maybe that was mostly the awning) and look all together a bit more trimmed down?
Great videos your guys make 🙂 Question. The mosquito net you use in the backdoor it's standard? Or you make your self? And for the shower is there warm water?
Hello! Thanks for your comment 👍🏻. I bought mosquito nets from a shop and cut them down to size…worked perfectly. For this van, there is not warm water for the shower. On our new van (Nugget Plus) has warm water as standard for the shower. Thanks for watching 😃
“Oh my gosh, thank you Mother Nature for making that” what an incredible thing for Izzy to say, well impressed. Looks amazing in northern Italy, what great happy memories the girls are going to have. The orange e-bike looks very useful, haven’t seen them in UK, is it Italian?
Hey Russell, thanks for the lovely comments. Yes, Izzy absolutely loved the bike ride, filming and the waterfall experience! And it resulted in a pretty profound comment for a 9 year old!!! The bike is an eBike by a company called Juba, based in California. A very usefully addition and makes it possible for all of us to enjoy a bike ride with only 2 bikes 😎👍🏻
Thank you, mine's not a nugget, but is a ford custom ltd. It's a day van to go with our new caravan, it is modular, so 3 months in Spain in winter, can be emptied out for our boat and bikes in summer if needed or be a 7 seater so very versatile, nugget in the future 😀
Lovely video, it was a real treat to watch it. Beautifully scenery and filming and totally engaging family. What I enjoy so much about your videos is as well as showing all the beautiful scenery you show your family actually using the campervan and how things work for you. Which overnight parking places did you use? I would love to go there myself one day.
Glad you liked the video! Yes, we try to integrate what we are doing around how we use the camper whilst doing it, so its great to hear your comment about this, thank you! The first camper area was at a place called Baceno, the second was in a car park at Devero Ai Ponti and the thrid was up the next valley to the east called Punta Sabbioni at Formazza. All the places in this video are all in Italy, despite being close to the Swiss border. Have a nice day, J.
Hi, thanks for your video. We also have a yuba Spicy Curry and an other ebike . We are looking for a bike rack for our New van based on a Renault Trafic. Could you help us ? What is your bike rack? Do you know if the thule velospace xt (wich yuba recommend for the spicy curry) works while opening thé back door ? Thanks a lot in advance. Bruno from Belgium.
Ah well done again. The Nugget working out perfectly. What do you call the two seater bike thingy? Also, is that the same bike rack ye had on the VW? Cheers! 🙂
Hi Pat, yes it’s the same bike rack and you’ve just reminded me that I did a separate short film on using this rack with the Nugget…must get that edited! The orange bike is an electric cargo bike with space for up to 3, made by a company in California called “Juba”. Works pretty well, although more fun zooming downhill than going up a steep hill with 2 passengers on it!

Thanks for saying, and yes….stunning scenery, the perfect habitat for a Campervan 👍🏻
Happy days!! Reminds me of when we drove to Italy and went to lake Lugano, Bellagio and over the Stelvio pass.
Ligano, Bellagio and Stelvio….awesome places! We love touring and especially to places like these. Thanks for commenting 😎
Another friendly feel good video, thanks for uploading a little sunshine and fun , summer is coming ☀️😎
Cheers Declan, glad you enjoyed it! 😎👍🏻
Thanks for taking us along on your trip to beautiful Italy.
It was a pleasure ☺️👍🏻
Well that cheered me up! Thank you Cali Camper family.
An absolute pleasure, glad it cheered you up and hopefully we can do it again with our next videos!
What a wonderful family holiday! Perfect. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Sylvia, it was a fabulous few days…and a break away from computer games etc! ☺️

Another great video from a lovely family, you forgot to show the handbrake and the drivers chair swivelling lol. 5 months now till mine arrives.
Oh yes…I’ll feed that into another video. It is a good feature 👍🏻

Molte grazie e grazie per la visione!
