I’m sure he loved you very much. The older generations had no idea how to show it. But he wasn’t unkind to you and he didn’t harm you (your comment insinuated), so he probably loved you very much. You need fast opening fire doors, you can’t have a door with 5 layers of things to open when there’s smoke and pitch black and everything is roasting hot with fire, you need one door that you can open fast and run!
