I don't really get why people hate flashbacks (although some of it could be bad and get in the way of the story, but some of the flashback are really important to build the character in Naruto), Like Naruto is not a story about who is strongest and being the strongest ninja, Naruto is a character oriented story, the story of Naruto is mainly the story about Naruto and Sasuke and how Naruto can convince Sasuke to stop being an emo. If you want non-stop fights and crazy power-scaling just watch Dragon Ball ffs. Kishimoto uses flashbacks to develop character, Idk what's so wrong about that if it is done right (like Madara and Hashirama's flasback was lit, I'll watch that episode all over again because of how interesting it is) I don't want Naruto to become Dragon Ball, and i don't want Naruto to become Dragon Ball either.
It's just an opinion btw, I usually really like the flashbacks in Naruto as it gives the audience more time to understand the character's motive and background. But some people just want to see some good non-stop Shonen i guess.

I really recommend you to watch Gigguk he made a great Video about Some of the best choreographed fights in Anime and he explained why Naruto vs Sasuke is such a well made fight (I think he overall liked Kakashi vs Obito more to it's been some time since I watched that video)

This is my fav one because the first time i saw this opening with those flashbacks, it was like an entire generation was about to end. I think it represents that feeling perfectly.
The war was happening during my junior and senior year of high school. One of my best friends at the time was super into Naruto, and so was I. So every week we’d read it in class together when the scans dropped and texted each other about the chapter while class was happening. To be honest, yeah the war was long with a lot of twists and turns, but at the same time I never wanted it to end. I loved having those discussions with him and we bonded over something so trivial. We barely talk now and I miss him a lot, but I’ll always remember constantly refreshing manga sites till the next chapter popped up and then we both glance at each other excitedly as we read it. I don’t know how to end this comment, but Naruto ending was probably the most bittersweet I’ve ever felt about a story ending.

Naruto has one of the greatest if not the greatest plot and story. Two boys who were close friends who resented each other and endured pain both were miserable. Each had their own separate paths and had a battle to see who’s way was right. Great anime the best in my opinion.

1:13 -1:18 Despite Naruto and Sasuke standing completely still while staring at each other, there's so much being said by their faces. Naruto is shedding tears at constantly being at odds with his best friend obviously, and at what Sasuke has made himself out to be. But at the frame where he looks up you can tell that despite all that, he's determined to stop him. Sasuke on the other hand has a stern look on his face, determined to not let bonds hold him back. But when they zoom in on his eyes you can see tiny etches underneath them, which to me hints a lot more than Sasuke allows himself to let on. Sasuke in reality doesn't want to fight Naruto either.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but... I kinda miss the war
The war was happening during my junior and senior year of high school. One of my best friends at the time was super into Naruto, and so was I. So every week we’d read it in class together when the scans dropped and texted each other about the chapter while class was happening. To be honest, yeah the war was long with a lot of twists and turns, but at the same time I never wanted it to end. I loved having those discussions with him and we bonded over something so trivial. We barely talk now and I miss him a lot, but I’ll always remember constantly refreshing manga sites till the next chapter popped up and then we both glance at each other excitedly as we read it. I don’t know how to end this comment, but Naruto ending was probably the most bittersweet I’ve ever felt about a story ending.

Naruto is shedding tears at constantly being at odds with his best friend obviously, and at what Sasuke has made himself out to be. But at the frame where he looks up you can tell that despite all that, he's determined to stop him.
Sasuke on the other hand has a stern look on his face, determined to not let bonds hold him back. But when they zoom in on his eyes you can see tiny etches underneath them, which to me hints a lot more than Sasuke allows himself to let on. Sasuke in reality doesn't want to fight Naruto either.
