The FAS II is a very popular suspension on over-the-road heavy trucks. For this suspension, the biggest concern with the OE-style rubber bushing is that the spring eye opens up and the leaf spring bushing can walk out. This frequently occurs with a bonded OE-style rubber bushing because the pin is not allowed to rotate, so the entire bushing can be forced to spin within the eye of the spring, thus leading to the wallowed-out spring eye.
With ATRO's rotating bushing, the outer sleeve and urethane rotate around the fixed pin. ATRO offers two replacement options to address this concern. The PB46-26268 has the standard outside diameter and is crimped on one end and flanged on the other. The flange prevents walk-out. ATRO's UB20500-OS is 0.06" oversized to allow for a wallowed-out spring. The outer sleeve is also crimped on one end and flanged on the other to prevent walk-out.
ATRO also offers three torque rod length options, OE direct replacement rods TR46-41316, TR46-41716, or TR46-41002. The bushing and all of these rods is a TS00-22500 and will only fit small eye ATRO torque rods. ATRO's PL1146, which has no outer sleeve, can be used to re-bush the OE rod or aftermarket rods.
