Disney's Animal Kingdom April 2021! Pandora Fun, Flight of Passage, Soaked on Kali River Rapids

- Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World April 2021! A walk around Pandora: The World of Avatar, cheeseburger bao buns at Satu'li Canteen, Night Blossom from Pongu Pongu, a surprise ride on Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey with a long view of the amazing Shaman of Songs animatronic (one of the best animatronics out there!) - both rides were walk-ons and I got a great tip about lines in Pandora!! And a fun, wild and wet ride on Kali River Rapids that just recently reopened after a long refurbishment! It was such a fun, beautiful day at Animal Kingdom, with weather ranging from gray and cloudy to bright and sunny to humid and the whole Florida range! The Valley of Mo'ara is so beautiful and I'm glad I was able to spend more time in Pandora this trip and share it with you! Hope you enjoyed a fun Disney day! I know one can be emotional when they see a bao because of the Pixar short but since it's cheeseburger...no regrets
The thing I really dislike about FoP is the absolutely tedious pre-show. While I enjoy the actual ride, I don’t feel it’s worth the typical wait times just to have to endure that pre-show. HOWEVER! Getting to ride it over and over during After Hours is great. I hope those events return...
My first ever trip to WDW I had after hours at Animal Kingdom and me and my niece rode FOP so many times I lost count

I love Satu'li Canteen, only eaten there once the Woodfired Chicken was incredible. I loved that it wasn't 'obvious' theme park food....and the night blossom drink...so good (wish I'd tried it with Rum though...good upgrade!)

I can't believe Flight of Passage makes so many sick. That stinks. I'm 50 and it didn't bother me at all..lol. It's awesome. The Navi River Journey was kind of boring IMO. I didn't go on the rapids ride the last time I was there, but it looks awesome!

I had motion sickness the first time I rode FOP. Second time I wore my glasses that I need for distance and amazing I had no issues. I have always worn them since then on the ride and report no more issues.
I love the rides in Pandora. The theming.. just everything!!!! Animal Kingdom is my favorite park.
I don’t mind getting wet as long as it is not cold...

Yep -I’m in your camp -Flight of passage was a must see once ! Nauseous shortly thereafter. Usually back to sorts in about half hour - Expedition Everest, same effects- Oh’ well !
If you close your eyes on the ride are you ok? (Obviously defeats the purpose)
It helps temporarily but it still feels awful.
I think the glasses are what make me feel gross on FOP! They are terrible :(
I hate 3D glasses! I always take them off!
I’m sorry that you get motion sick on flight of passage. My wife, who is prone to motion sickness, actually does it… She was so excited when she was able to ride it. It really is an amazing experience. You also reminded me that I haven’t been on Kalimantan river rapids in the longest time… I need to do that.
I Just finished the video! LOL what a fun time. I’ve only been on Flight of Passage once and I liked it a lot, but I did feel the motion of the ride quiet a bit. I can not ride Mission Space. I did it once many years ago and felt sick for hours after.

As a citizen of St Petersburg I must say three daughters is my favorite Craft brewery in the area. Jackie if you ever get a chance to visit I highly highly recommend it it's an amazing place and they have many great beers to choose from. Not only is the beer great but it's very family and pet friendly and they have tons of activities to do each night is something different and there's always live music and food trucks on the weekends. By the way I think I'm going to dip my bun might even be a better song than the cheese song from the other video. 😁😆😜✌️👏🤙🤘👍🙏🎉🎊🍻

I get dizzy with motion rides like this. I hope you stopped the vid and rested and got some water. I loved that river journey attraction. The music and ambie was great. Great job showing the theme details. Video is definitely better with the new camera, the ride mist showed up nice. Your mask flowers glowed in the UV light. Your audio was good for not being mic'ed up (unless Im wrong and you got one under your mask), music choice was mint 👍😁
No need to feel weird about getting dizzy on such things...my daughter is the same way! She can't do Star Tours, etc. like that so I'm sure she couldn't handle that either! Appreciate your videos.
I had motion sickness meds with me on my trip with my daughter last March for our flight to Disney. We didn't expect to ride Pandora but as soon as we got in line, I took the meds and it helped some with the ride. I did however put my head down or close my eyes if I felt it become to much.....so it might be something you try before getting on it.....to take motion sickness tablets. I love Animal Kingdom and Kali River Rapids is one of my favs there!! ❤

Pandora is my favourite place in all of WDW & I cannot wait to be there again & to just absorb the atmosphere 🤞🤞. Kali River Rapids is such a fun ride, love it 👍
I just love AK but my husband isn’t a fan (he does enjoy spending time at Tambu Lounge); I think that when we are FL residents it will be soooooo nice to hang out in AK without the “pressure” of feeling like we have to run through it so that we have time to hop to another park! I just can’t wait to experience the ambiance in a leisurely fashion!!!

Soarin’ once made me so motion sick that I had to go back to the resort and lay prone for the rest of the night. I now take ginger tablets and Dramamine (non-drowsy) and I’m fine on rides like FOP and Mission Space. (I’ve even done the extreme side on the latter!) Highly recommend.

People always get mad at me for saying soaring isn’t my favorite but it for the same reason. Anything that moves with a screen in front just makes me feel sick. I understand Jackie 😉 now I know that I’m not gonna love that ride either 🤣 thanks for the heads up! 🥰

Confession: I may not get motion sickness on Flight of Passage, but I don't like wind blowing directly in my face. I almost hyperventilated when it first started on my first ride but then I found the vent where the fan is. So now I ride it with my hand over it.
Never been to Pandora. Thanks for showing us around. What was the temperature there on April 18th? Never been to FL after march or before October. Your Videos are the best on UA-cam.

I am right there with you on Flight of Passage - it makes me pretty ill. I rode it twice in one day, the first time I came out of it kind of sick, a few hours later I tried one more time and had to keep my eyes shut about half the time. It's worth trying once even if you get a bit sick, you can always close your eyes to stop from getting worse - but I'm never riding it again. I admire your bravery for trying one more time. The only other ride like that for me is the Mars ride at Epcot, which I 100% cannot ride.

Flight of passage isn’t my favorite either. Both times I rode it I was so motion sick afterwards. I totally understand!
I was there for the cast preview of Kali and it was after park close so it was dark and it was just me and one other CM I didn't know in the boat and we got stuck in the middle of it. Instead of dropping down to the next level we just went around in a circle for about 15 minutes. 🤣🤣
That is my second favorite park . Epcot is my absolute favorite park
I'm in the minority on that one. Epcot is my third favorite. Animal and Magic Kingdom are superior IMO.
Hollywood Studios is last for me because half of the park is Star Wars. Not a fan. I do want to check out Rise of th Resistance. I've heard it's the most amazing ride ever? Is that true?
@@cynthiaabbott1945 that was my least favorite as well. I guess if you are a Star Wars fan and have watched all that ( I have not) you would love it. my husband was all about it. I was not so impressed but worth going at least once I guess
Love your videos Jackie! We had the bao buns and they were kind of "meh" for us too, UNTIL we mixed the green and white sauces with every bite, then they really popped!
AK is my fav part-the detail ..from gift shop to the light fixture just blow my mind!

Perhaps the issue with the ride is the 3d glasses. 3d effects some more than others. I remember about 10 years ago when a company started selling 2d glasses so you won't get headaches

I agree I can ride ANY Rollercoaster no problem., I love them all, but those virtual rides make me ill
That bridge keeps going under construction because last I was there it needed refurbishment. I think the waterfall is eating the concrete away faster than anticipated so they close it to add concrete or something or to adjust the waterfall.
If that plant said "Feed me!" I'd run. Thank you for showing animal kingdom. I like the hat. Definitely looked like you were hitting an expedition. Every Earth day I used to go see the Disney Nature movie at theaters. I knew if you went that particular week then parts of the profits went to various wildlife conservations. Oh Jackie, I can’t ride that ride either.. I get serious motion sickness so I just wait outside in the waiting area for my daughter. If you ever catch yourself in this situation again, please close your eyes and take deep breaths. I cannot do that Everest coaster there either or Dinosaur because it’s just so dark and turbulent. It makes me very sick. Sorry you get icky afterwards. I hope it wasn’t too bad. 💜

DAK is the best theme park because of its theming, imo. It's such a great park to *just* walk through, you don't even need to ride anything to enjoy the experience, but that safari is worth the wait.

Animal Kingdom comes in 2nd, but it's VERY close. That park is amazing. Magic Kingdom will always be my #1, but not by much.
When you get dizzy or disoriented on motion simulators look towards the corners of the screen or off in the horizon where there is less going on. That seems to help me.

The screens are hard for me too which is weird because I'm a roller coaster kinda guy, I'll go on pretty much anything. But when TOT changed over to Guardians at Ca Adventure, I rode it once and got SUPER sick and disoriented for the rest of the day. I think screens combined with motion just are NOT IT for some of us lol I loved tower of terror so so much Its crazy how just adding digital effects makes me sick lol
Yea I’m the same, I can ride pretty much any roller coaster no problem! But when screens are involved it’s iffy!
