Makes me wish that some early builds of the game would somehow get leaked online that may contain some of these early versions of the levels. Getting to experience early stuff for a game you've played so many times is fascinating.

I see they changed sweet tooth's special in twisted metal 3. Its a homing head. But in the release it has zero homing with a flaming trail and giant explosion at the end.
Sweet Tooth was always my favorite back in the day. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who my favorite vehicle would be now as an adult [if the proto had been the game at launch]. Not in real life though. I've only had to drive an LLV no more than 10 times since i started the job in 2013, they suck. I haven't been in one since 2015.
I loved the idea of a postal truck, but that model was just another step van and not the LLV that the USPS is known for. It was just a placeholder, but I find it funny how the machine guns are attached at the roof, yet the bullets were shooting out of the grille. That black car was supposed to be a Mercedes Benz and I believe it was going to be a secret agent/CIA operative. It was mentioned in another video going into detail about the TM3 demo, and in some online articles. All of these were from many years ago, so I couldn't find them with a quick Google search.
The scream mr grims special was making is like a slowed down version of the regular death scream. And that bmw lookin car in the tm3 thing was used in tm4 for the create a car medium
One must wonder what the heck was going on during the development of TM3. Washington D.C., Area 51, the North Pole, London, and Egypt were way bigger early on, then they got downsized. Not only that, but taking into consideration the game had the subtitle, "Calypso's Revenge", what was the plot about? Calypso getting overthrown? I guess the world may never know until some employee from 989 leaks out dev notes or something, which is very unlikely that'll ever happen. I am bummed out that early TM3 Mr. Grimm never made it to the final version. I never liked Mr. Grimm with sidecar since the offset machine guns make it too hard for me to hit my targets.
Not sure what you mean by genuine in this case. TM 3 is an official TM even if it's not Singletrac/Incognito/Eat Sleep Play, so a new TM not made by them still wouldn't be "genuine" now if you mean a DC map that actually feels like DC and not just a flat plain then I agree with that (sorry for the tangent)
Sadly, it may never happen since we now live in a time where it may not happen without insane-minded politicians accusing Twisted Metal of influencing terrorism and vehicle manslaughter aimed at the president or even members of the congress.
Other than storing weapons, the other reason TM Black Mr.Grimm had a sidecar was because it was a Vietnamese military bike. They always had sidecars for a gunner to fire on the side. Loved it, but man a regular motorcycle wouldve been better

Other than than the cars still flipping over the physics in the DC beta clip look a tad bit better than full release. Suspension collision looks realy good after hitting with the ground off of a jump and turns look a little smoother.
Regarding the TM4 trailer physics; they all look like they were slowed down to around 20fps. Im guessing it being slowed down made the physics look more floaty. Edit: lol just noticed you caught thqt with the Pit Stop commercial

I don't know if you have already, but you can take a look at Rogue Trip Vacation 2012, it has what is the best Washington level, way better than this version or the release version of TM3. And with gameplay that is 100x superior to this. The level is named the Maul.
It looks like they based live-action Sweet Tooth’s design off of the cover of TM4 rather than the actual game’s design (which is honestly the worst Sweet Tooth design we’ve ever gotten)
this is 100% a necro, but with gameshark codes it is possible - usually the game runs out of memory though if you selected boss vehicles, especially in complex stages like the Oil Rig. even the prototype one week before release (which you can download on Hidden Palace!) had the ability to select it, but then they realized it just wasn't stable enough 😅
