Love your channel! Great looking family btw! OMG, if I was puckering watching this in my chair I can only imagine what it felt like to you. You seem way too cool in the video, ha! Great work!
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, it definitely has some pucker factor - it gets a bit easier once you've done it at least once but it still gets the heart rate up every time!
Did Hells Revenge, including Hells Gate, Oct 2022. 2018 4Runner SR5. No lockers. 2" lift on 275's. I did use A-Trac when needed. Fun trail and am going back March 2023.
Hey Dave, super impressive on Hell's Gate! It's amazing what A-Trac will do. I did it about 10 years ago in our 100-series Landcruiser but I was a little leery doing it in our new vehicle this time around - wheel placement is everything and one false move and you're on your side.
@@MOAB-UT It was a lot sandier than last Oct.. Tires didn't grab as I remembered. I slid off the wall.... again, and had trouble getting back on it. I did make it, but my "Toyota wave" was a bit higher than the 1st time. My spotter thought 2-2 1/2 ft. front driver. 2 in our group of 4 had be winched. I was the only one without a locker. Doin' Moab again in Sept.
@@MOAB-UT It was near the top, just before the "flexy" spot, where most of the tip-overs happen. Good thing I had sliders with kick-outs or the pass side would be really f'kd up.
We used the rear lockers once getting over a ledge with some loose boulders. I could have realigned the 4R and made it up without lockers. Hell’s Revenge is one harder trail you could probably get by without lockers. Your GX will do fantastic! I had a 100 series LC for about 12 years. Gotta love Toyota/Lexus!
They are tippy and pricey- just rent a Twisted Jeep in town. They are awesome. A UTV would be even better- also take it out to Chicken Corners. You can do both in one very full day of driving.

@@davealling8847 Which wall- the first one on Hell's Revenge? That is a big drop at the top. Never been on it when it was too sandy.

Looks like you all had a great time! Very well done video.
That's some amazing footage! Does adding "Raptor Lights" make your 4Runner behave more like a Ford? I sure hope not. :))
Thanks! Haha, no it definitely doesn't behave like a Ford!
Great video! Moab is definitely on my list of places to visit with my GX. How many times did you need to use the lockers?
