Thus I don't see anything wrong in helibombing as the core game allows it and provides entertainment to the players.
The new breed of Rust players are weak. They don't know real pain. They never played before helis existed. I was in a clan in Staging when Helk did the scrap heli. He went n took oil rig with us. It was kind of fun.

So i don’t play it anymore but still watch videos, it’s all about guns, try harding, raiding. Back in the old days it was about the characters you came across and making villages 🥺 as much as I love a Stevie video, these still make me laugh. PS I still watch all you’re old 2016 rust videos 😄

There are people who have servers of older year Rust out there. One bloke from Facebook rust group is running a 2016 rust server.
Cars require you to find parts, find a car, bring the parts to the car, plus a hammer, wood, metal, high qual, AND low grade, then drive that car to a special base, with electricity, with a car lift that only be crafted with a T2 workbench. Then you have to craft better modules, high qual parts, etc. You do all that and you get to go slightly faster than a horse on land. Whoop dee doo. Or you take 750 scrap to a safe zone, you get a whole ass helicopter, with fuel, that you can use to speed run every monument, trivialize every puzzle in the game, and safely and quickly ferry loot across the entire map in just minutes. No upgrades required, only requires metal to repair, just need any old 2x1 to park it in and you can keep it forever. The solution isn't making minis easier to get. I think you forget how shit it used to be with clans parking the spawn limit of helis in their compounds. The solution is to make them much more difficult to acquire than cars, and make it so you have to craft them at your base, like cars. That way, there's nowhere you can camp to bomb everyone's aircraft, and you don't get such a tremendous benefit from only 750 scrap and a run to Outpost. If minis required car parts, and were only craftable at a landing pad, which required a T3 to build, line of sight to the sky to place, and a high amount of electricity, I think that'd be a good place to start.

They will just make them invulnerable when in safe zone. Some servers have been that way for a while.
