When I started playing a year ago last September I did full candle runs from every realm and every wax. It was tedious, boring and it just became this mundane task that I got sick of. So now my main routine is to just periodically log on and do Granny and Geyser a couple of times, do my quest and get the candle cakes. Hey, it works for me. I'm definitely never lacking in currencies and I have so much of it. I'm always able to do traveling spirits and events, etc. Right now I've been taking advantage of Granny being in the home space. So instead of using my switch I just load up my main account on an extra phone and I sit with Granny for a couple of hours. I did have to download an app on the phone to keep it open because my spare phone's screen turns off after 30 inactive minutes. But best thing ever! But all in all I prefer the idle wax farming. I really wish the devs hadn't ruined the idle wax spots. They don't really think of their players as individuals with lives and things to do outside the game. They see us as a single player with no life, and that's a bad thing. Have the devs actually played their own game and done a full run? I bet not.
I am actually friends with ash the developer on sky, they don’t get free candles or anything, they only get a discount/early access to iap items. The devs do play their own game and ash takes me for cr all the time.
Honestly I believe what Declan said. From my experience in discord, the devs seem pretty cool and I've seen some live streams of them where they are playing and someone mentioned they had just done Eden. It seems like they put a lot of thought and energy into the player experience. I assumed they got rid of social wax to either create more engagement or solve servers getting overfilled with players who weren't moving about. (I was one of those haha I did social wax like everyday and was sad it was gone but honestly I've been playing more and having fun. I had to take a break for a couple weeks because life got busy and I got burned out haha)
p.s. I LOVE going through Eden, and I really enjoyed flying past the Spirits and my friends to collect the wax. It saddens me that you can no longer get the wax from them. I would have loved it if they would give your friends a notification whenever you hi-fived them flying through there. I might be wrong, but the instrument way of AFK farming was patched, so you can open the shop menu and click the help button instead. Just keep that open, put your phone down and do smth else. I've been doing that a lot at the bonfires recently, and it works :)
@@waddleds665 afk spots. Like the crab bonfire in wasteland, and the cozy hideout in praire caves :) also the one in forest. the ones that spit out darkness balls. when you burn them you'll get wax
what I do is log on at reset, do geyser, run sanctuary, run forest then do granny then turtle, then I do dailies and afk in igloo while I sleep 👍 I get grey every time
@@wlfecipse5751 it depends where you live. Geiser will go off every two hours, starting at XX:05(xx being the hour) and granny will go off at XX:35. Depending on your time zone the "XX" will either be all even hours or all odd hours, for me it's odd hours.

I've question, when the daily light comes it looks more brighter more big but when do the dailes after some that light fade to nothing I can't even see that there light is or not, main point is., I ones get the 4 treasure candles and those 4 candles can not even forged one regular candle, so my question is there time period or something that at start u get more wax from candles or plants......................?????¿?¿¿¿¿¿???¿??¿
Actually for relief of players TGC has introduced this idea . Once your daily time get reset for sometime your candles will be fill more fastly but it will keep getting slow so for those but it doesn't affect total candle forged So the players who are lazy can get good candles in less time
i think the campfire in wasteland does quick edit: wasteland's campfire gives wax, and there's a little floating island in vault that does aswell! it's right below the floating island with that rock you have to pray to spawn meditation spirit

One good place to get a lot of wax relatively fast and doing something fun is to go to Harmony Hall and play the music of the day.
I play on switch and the touchscreen isn't very good, and I get confused by the sheet music

I did the lazy way. I have a switch so I turned off sleep mode and put it on the dock. Its the best method especially when I have to go to work.

I think afk farming was patched recently cuz once afk sets it will remove the instrument and will make you go afk

hotsprings also gives floating wax im going to use that area after days of feast are over
